411.09.2023ParkwayDriver7.0Enjoyable show from GCW here particularly elevated by the Gage/Vikingo main event. Akira/Christian would be my second favorite of the show. Lash LeRoux/Joey Janela was entertaining to see. Everything else was largely pretty solid although some matches felt a little too much like a styles clash.
505.09.2023Killerman7.0I thought this show was really good but for some reason i couldn't stay focused throughout the entire thing though. SCRAMBLE- The show starts with your typical GCW style scramble, nothing really special. 2*. SPEEDBALL/MANCE- Was absolutely phenomenal, there clash of styles mixed soooooo well together it was great. Speedball grabbing weapons before Mancer was a nice little shock to me aswell. 3and3/4*. BUSSY/VIOLENCE- This was not my style of match but it was fine for what it was. VIF winning before Effys BGB was a nice little surprise for me also. 1and1/2*. RINAandMASHA/MACIZOS- Great hard hitting type of energy here, both teams obviously killed it. it didn't get as violent as I was expecting but it was still a great match. 3*. JOEY/LASH- DUDE FUCKING KILLED IT FOR NOT BEING IN THE RING FOR 10 PLUS YEARS WTF! 2and3/4*. BANG/PRICEandRADRICK- A decent little funny match, wasn't really to special and started losing my interest around here. 2*. BLAKE/AKIRA- Blake again proving why he might be one of the greatest GCW champions of all time with another banger of a match really solidifying his title reign after tonight I think. 3*. TONY/GRINGO- I was really excited for this match but in my opinion I thought it flopped relatively hard compared to usual. It wasn't bad by any means I was just burned out from the rest of the show. 2and3/4*. COLTandSWOGGLE/JWMandTONY- Terrible, worst thing on the card. Nice seeing Colt make his GCW debut though.1*. GAGE/VIKINGO- I think this was Vikingos best GCW performance to date. It was everything you wanted and then some. Vikingos high flying lucha style mixes great with Nicks and it ends up being one of the best gcw matches in awhile. 4and1/2*. Overall a solid show with a kinda must watch main event dreammatch if your a fan of both men and a overly solid undercard.
602.09.2023Bammer218.0A really fun PPV. The opening scramble was great and everyone looked impressive. Fuego Del Sol could be a fantastic addition tot he roster if he hangs around. I am so impressed with Brayden Toon and i'd love to see him vs Manders 1v1. Some fun silliness here with Swoggle and Colt Cabana (nice surprise) and Maki Itoh taking out Frank The Clown was fun. Unfortunately the old GCW technical issues bug came back up again but they dealt with it quick. A very good show.
802.09.2023gaycolumbo9.0(LIVE) Pretty much all I want out of a GCW show. When the scramble kick-offed and was actually pretty solid (that's what having Adam Priest in a match will do) this was already tracking to be the best GCW show of the year and it lived up to those expectations. There were plenty of fast-paced workrate matches that aren't always guaranteed in GCW, including Blake Christian's best title defense of the year and a surprisingly great performance from Lash LeRoux who overdelivered in his Janela novelty match, and while there weren't any true deathmatches there was a lot of psychical brawling and pretty good plunder spots in the hardcore matches. On top of all that the main event just flat-out fucking ruled, less of a styles clash and more of Vikingo working his insane spots into a vintage Nick Gage match that featured his best performance in years. GCW show of the year and I don't think anything aside from TOS comes particularly close.
