[8.0] "A nice go-home before All In, definitely better than last week: Moxley vs. Fenix was a great match and the return of Santana & Ortiz in the post-match was great as well. Rey Fenix's angle was well done but it's just that I'm not into this kind of segment so I wasn't a huge fan of it. Mjf/Adam Cole's interviews were very good, especially the one with Cole. Mogul Embassy vs. Allin & Wayne was a fun match with an awesome post-match where Ar Fox got kicked out of Mogul Embassy and Christian Cage destroyed verbally Nick Wayne's dead father. I wish Fox could've stayed with the group a bit long because he was looking great. Christian, however, is one of the best things in Aew and proved it once again tonight with a tremendous promo so I don't mind him as a replacament. This was one of the best build-ups to All In. Ospreay/Jericho promo was excellent, Ospreay looked fantastic and Jericho hasn't cut a promo this good since last year. Soho vs. Blue was alright and Hardys vs. Aussie Open was decent with a interesting post-match angle between Cole and Mjf, who seem to be at a breaking point. The best thing is that you can't tell who is turning on who but I think it will be Cole. Overall: a huge step ahead compared to last week's show, especially the segments that were all great."
[5.0] "Mediocre just like most Dynamites, with a few good matches/segments and then some pretty poor and worthless ones. The Elite vs Bullet Club Gold non-match brawl was a bit messy but still decent. MJF's interview had some great lines and did well showing MJF's more babyface side. Moxley vs Fenix was an alright brawler-vs-high-flyer match, but they had some overly telegraphed, awkward, or cheesy moments, and Moxley's goofy selling/character work and Fenix's over-choreographed attacks and lack of creativity also held this back. ***. Fenix's post-match injury angle didn't feel remotely special because these AEW attacks happen literally all the time. Santana and Ortiz's return was okay. Sammy being confronted by the ex-JAS members was extremely uninteresting because the JAS drama is beyond boring. Ospreay and Jericho's contract signing was good, since Ospreay was nicely fired up with his interesting mix of babyface motivations and heelish goals, and Jericho's responding promo was decent, too. It still sucks that Ospreay is getting wasted on 2023 Jericho. Cole's interview with Renee was delivered with a good sense of authenticity, though his 'freak out' was far too on the nose. Darby & Wayne vs Swerve & Fox was quite good. I enjoyed all their stunts, and the obvious cooperation was mostly kept to a minimum. I also really enjoyed Swerve and Fox's aggressive beatdown work and arrogant character work, which made Darby and Wayne more sympathetic as babyfaces. ***1/4. Swerve's post-match turn on Fox was incredibly stupid given how new they were and how well they worked together. Even worse was Darby and Wayne saving and forgiving Fox after FOX LITERALLY BEAT WAYNE TO A BLOODY PULP IN HIS OWN PROPERTY. Christian's post-match promo attacking Wayne and his deceased father was uncomfortable yet still enjoyably evil. The Bucks and FTR's sit-down interview was generic and flat, and I disliked the stupid kayfabe-breaking of the Bucks being referred to as the ones who hired FTR (since that implies IRL bias in everything the Bucks then do in AEW). Ruby vs Skye was rather bad. Skye's insert promo beforehand was lifeless, and then her attacks and movements all looked sluggish and overly planned. Ruby was okay, with some decently aggressive control work, but Skye dragged her down to some awkward exchanges, and the match's energy completely died as a result. **1/4. The Acclaimed + Billy and the House of Black's segment was fun, apart from the absurdity of Billy single-handedly running off the whole HOB. Billy's promo was pretty good, too. Aussie Open vs The Hardys was poor, since the Hardys looked really broken-down and AO then looked stupid slowing down and and selling for them. AO's beatdown work was nicely aggressive, but they couldn't do their more flashy, impactful, abd athletic stuff due to The Hardys' physical limitations. **1/4. AO and Cole + MJF's post-match confrontation was a bit goofy but still somewhat interesting with their coexistence/break-up teases."
[8.0] "A fun go home show that epitomised the idea that the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts. There weren't any real stand out matches, but I personally think that's ok; you can't have 4 or 5 star bouts every week and some weeks (pre-PPV in particular) you're almost better not to - fuel the storylines and make sure everyone gets some camera time but goes home safe. Job done!"
[5.0] "A terrible go home show. Not one match feels like the future of professional wrestling, or even AEW, is dependent on the match. They had to run two angles, one which was a mess, because they can't figure out who can travel overseas. There were two pretty good matches on this show, but good heavens sell a PPV"
[6.0] "Good show overall. Started off strong but, then kind of coasted throughout the rest of it. The opening match was great while the rest were good. Might be time to start booking the Hardys in matches in which they are putting over up-and-coming stars instead of being in the main event. The women's match while good could have been better."
[8.0] "I enjoyed the show a lot. A excelent night to build the PPV in the weekend. The brawl between The Elite and the BCG was a great way to start the show. Both MJF and Adam Cole interviews were nice; Mox and Fenix had the best match of the night; Ospreay and Jericho contract signing was one of the best AEW ever had. Swerve and Fox spitting alredy was a little weird, but Christian being in the match might be the right move; Ruby vs Blue was nice; Billy Gunn return is fantastic, the crowd will go nuts if he wins at Wembley; the main event was good, and the afterwards with Cole and MJF was great, I honestly have no ideia how that feud/friendship will end."
[9.0] "Strong go-home show before AEW's biggest event in their short yet eventul history thus far. The different upcoming match segments were all great, expectedly MJF and Adam Cole to close the show, but wow, Ospreay and Jericho really got me excited for their match; a bout that is, in my opinion, currently being slept on. They (especially Will) dipped into their bag and delivered some emotional stuff. The rest of the show was good with decent wrestling and nice pacing."
[8.0] "Good go home. Segments were great. Ospreay/Jericho did a great job hyping up the match, Ospreay was clear and fierce in his reasoning. Christian was hilariously wicked. MJF and Cole add more intrigue in their dynamic as Cole acts increasingly sketchy. Bucks were in delightful dickhead mode, FTR not so great. Billy Gunn made a strong return. The angles and matches were all good to great, with the sole exception that everyone has already mentioned regarding Fox. The main event was a a bit odd having the Hardys in it vs Aussie Open, no real question there of the winner. Nice after match angle however."
[6.0] "Bit of an up and down episode (mostly in that order). Ospreay and Jericho did what they could to sell their match with almost no build and I thought they did a fairly good job. Ospreay is in a good place to make a lot of money but I think I'll start to feel that AEW is a net negative for the global scene if they take the third top foreign star in a row from NJPW. The top two matches on the card really did nothing for the Wembley build outside of the closing angle and they were both unexciting. There's potential to make this MJF and Cole story pretty good if they nail whatever happens during the Aussie Open match. There's a reason that's on the pre-show and it's not just to give those guys a rest. That match should sell the main event at the last possible moment. At least we had some write-offs for a change in this episode instead of angles just being dropped, but it does mean that the AR Fox angle ended incredibly quickly. An improvement over last week's episode but they need to hit a homerun with this Wembley show. There's been a tide of growing resentment amongst those attending over the past few weeks due to the poor build for much of it. I think the show itself will turn out to be at least fine, but just imagine how 80, 000 embittered fans would sound if this show has both a subpar build and subpar delivery."
[9.0] "There's been better Dynamites in terms of work rate throughout the card (there were still 2 great matches here anyway) but as a go home show this did everything it needed to do in getting you more hyped for all the matches. Basically every segment hit the mark for me."
[9.0] "Very good go-home show before ALL IN: London. I'm very hyped for the event on Sunday and the ending to Dynamite was excellent I have a feeling it's gonna be Adam Cole who turns heel on MJF and wins the AEW World Heavyweight Championship from MJF. It's gonna be fun on Sunday."
[5.0] "I dont know why this show is being rated so high, I thought it was just a boring episode. All the matches were boring and pretty predictable, all the matches feels like they started the same way, with a quick ambush to start the match. The only match I was looking forward to was thrown out, and Omega honestly made Bullet Club Gold look like a bunch of geeks once he started soloing them by himself. It was a very WWE episode of dynamite."
[9.0] "This was a very fun episode. The opening match between Jon Moxley and Rey Fenix was a fantastic clash of styles. Darby Allin and Nick Wayne vs. Swerve Strickland and AR Fox was also a really good match. Ruby Soho vs Skye Blue over performed, being the match I was most apprehensive of going in. Aussie Open vs. the Hardys was depressing and only really served to show how past their prime the Hardys are."
"This episode was a much needed return to form for Dynamite. At first, I was disappointed with the way they discarded The Elite vs BCG match but understand they wanted to minimise risk of injury before All In & they explained the Omega/Takeshita rivarly in more detail. Mox vs Fenix was a banger and I genuinely wasn't sure whether Rey was injured or not after what looked like a bad bump from the top rope after an avalanche death rider. Darby & Nick Wayne vs the Mogul Embassy was a great match with some impressive high-flying moves from AR Fox in particular. It seems harsh that he got pinned and then kicked out of the group immediately, losing the chance to wrestle at All In - I would guess there are other reasons at play for this. Christian Cage was incredible (and savage) on the mic and all the promos were good in my opinion. Soho vs Skye was just fine and the final match of The Hardy's vs Aussie Open felt short as the show appeared to overrun. MJF vs Adam Cole is poised to be a fascinating main event and I feel AEW have built this up very well. I felt relieved watching this show and more excited and confident in the matches booked for All In this Sunday. 8/10 for me."
[6.0] "This was alright, and a definite improvement from the past 2 weeks since the majority of the show's focus was building to the All-in matches. Not a lot of impressive in-ring work but that was fine since the promos did their job. I'm very invested in the MJF/Adam Cole storyline and Swerve/Darby is looking to be a nice midcard feud. A lot of run-ins and brawls, but that's to be expected. Surprisingly, the segment of the night was Chris Jericho and Will Ospraey. Amazing work on the mic from the both of them considering absolutely no one wanted to see this match. Christian's promo was great too. There were some rocky elements (Darby accepting Fox's friendship, the Hardy's) but overall it did get me more excited about a card that, a few weeks ago, was looking especially disappointing."
[10.0] "The purpose of a go home show is to hype the PPV and in that aspect Dynamite was perfect. The first segment was pure chaos and I loved it. Fenix vs Moxley was really good, the aftermath was even better with the return of Santana & Ortiz ( the size of Santana ! ) and Fenix being write off from All in. Both promo from MJF and Cole were good ( especially Cole's one ). Tag team was good, I'm sad AR Fox will miss All in but I'm extremly happy to see Christian. As always Christian delivered on the mic. Ospreay / Jericho promo was great, I had not interest in the match beforehand but now I'm hyped for the match. The aftermath of the main event was great. 100 % hype up for All in !"
[10.0] "A great show, the best AEW Go-Home show to date, I enjoyed this match from start to finish. The match build ups were pretty good, TK is getting better at this. I just thought it was very unfair and a bad decision to withdraw Ar Fox from the ALL IN fight.... He deserved it, and a lot."
"Overall I throughly enjoyed this show I felt it was a great go home episode of dynamite leading to all in good matches and good promos as well highlight of the night for me was the young bucks and ftr stuff as well as the MJF and Adam coke stuff the ending was great to see."
[8.0] "Once again a show carried by the feud/saga of MJF & Cole. This makes sense since they are somewhat in two feuds with Aussie Open and then with themselves. These segments continue to change every week and keep me interested. With this and the inclusion of Santana returning and LAX joining the Don Callis family and multiple great Renee segments throughout the night particularly for me Eddie and her getting into it once more. The card isnt stellar from afar for All In but it also wasnt for the original Forbidden Door and that ended up being a near perfect card for me. So this go home Dynamite was built for All In all the way around and did the best it good with the given circumstances. I was actually rather glad they could make a storyline out of Rey not being able to attend as it will hopefully lead to a good pop and event better story when he eventually does return."
[7.0] "I think this is a pretty solid go home show that accomplished its job to get folks interested in the PPV and make last minute changes, but as for matches I just think it was a mixed bag. Not having that 6 man tag be anything but a no contest and thrown out irritated me a bit. Mox/Fenix was solid and despite knowing Reys situation, i was wondering how they were writing him off.VERY disappointed with the Fox change so close to the PPV. I am sure there are reasons and I felt good with Fox being a face again but I do desperately wanted a guy like him on the biggest wrestling event of this era. The main and womens match were also decent but not the greatest while there were a ton of promos, backstage and in ring throughout the show. Loved the one with the Young Bucks. Cole and Maxs stuff also could go so many ways. And I think Will Ospreay got over this match of his but I felt a little meh about many others. Still very interested for Sunday but in terms of matches and other stuff on this show specifically, it accomplished its goal and not much more other than the pretty solid Mox and Darby matches."
[8.0] "A show that highlights much more the early fights and the story that was being told for this next event in London, which certainly makes it a great event, but leaves much to be desired the last two fights. However, the promos and segments shown make great previews and I loved that. I'm really looking forward to this All In event."
[10.0] "This is what a go home show should be, incredible episode, all the matches were good especially the Fenix v Moxley, the promos and interview managed to add a huge hype for Sunday, I think especially the contract signing of Ospreay and Jericho, I was struggling on this match at the beginning, now I am more than satisfied, great final segment with Aussie Open and the crazy presence of Better Than You Baybay, All In is going to be phenomenal."
[4.0] "Pretty disapointing show imo, the first segment is rather strange there's simply no match. The BCC / Best friends segment seemed overbooked, with the return of Santana and Ortiz which barely had a pop. Christian Cage's promo was the highlight of the show, his heel persona working very well. The post main event segment was repetitive, Cole and MJF's heel turn was teased, it should have been more subtle, MJF should have just left after avoiding Cole's kick displaying tensions in their friendship. The rest of the show consists of overbooked brawling segments to promote All in, which isn't a very good build for an underwhelming card."
[7.0] "I will get the gripes out of the way first. To start off: This show was structured in a very peculiar way. Starting off with the Elite/BCG angle (which was very good) and discarding the match was definitely... a choice. Especially when you had a mediocre main event. Elite vs BCG could have main evented, while Aussie Open vs Hardys could have just been scrapped in all honesty. MJF and Cole could have came out at the very end to send us home and Aussie Open could have confronted them then and ran the same angle we got. Also, Hangman should have been on this show as well. The HOB/Acclaimed angle was also very hard to care about, but the match will probably be good, especially in front of that Wembley crowd. Now... what a REALLY good go-home show. Minus the main event, the wrestling was genuinely exciting to watch, all the damn near all the promos and segments HIT. That Bucks/FTR interview was awesome and contract signing for the Ospreay/Jericho match overdelivered like hell. I came out of this episode drastically more excited for All In than I was before, and that's honestly the main thing I wanted from this Dynamite. The closing angle from MJF and Cole was great and I can certainly say that it is probably my most anticipated match now, along with Bucks vs FTR 3. A really strong bounce back episode, even if not perfect, after a couple weeks of lackluster television."
[10.0] "Phenomenal show and one of the best Dynamites of the year, everything RULED, the opening segment was a bit throw away but somehow worked and jesus juice must hate Rick knox, the tornado tag match was great, the story after the match felt a bit rushed but it worked, and Christian must win promo of the year bcs omg that promo, the MJF cole interviews were good if not a bit inoffensive, the interview with the bucks and FTR was great if not a bit short, moxley vs fenix was great and was a good way to write him off the show since he can't go to the UK, holy shit Santana returned and him and Ortiz are on the same page which was nice to see, and the last time we saw Ortiz he was feuding with Eddie so it makes sense, Jericho and Ospreay's contract signing was fantastic and really made the match feel must see but it was kinda odd to have Will come dressed as a toddler and not his badass New Japan gear, Ruby vs Skye was your standard lame women's match before the main event although the crowd was up to it but it was whatever, and the main event was great, it did what it had to do, and the tension in better than you Bay Bay is just delicious, can't wait to see where it goes. It was a fantastic go home show, I was a bit cold on All in bcs of the build but thanks to this show, I can't wait for it"
[10.0] "Honestly, THE perfect go home show. I've been feeling pretty disappointed in the All In card and build to it which has been a bit all over the place. But everything on this show was a home run and my hype has definitely increased. GREAT promos from MJF, Jericho, Ospreay and Adam Cole. Great build for Stadium Stampede. AR Fox being gone from the Embassy sucks."
[9.0] "BANGER show. Every single promo segment was good. The AC and MJF ones, the contract signing, the Mogul and Christian one (except for ARFox being kicked from the embassy after only a few weeks.. and then darby forgiving him immediately. That makes like no sense). The matches ranged from good to fantastic and everything on the card had a reason to be there. A great go home show."
[7.0] "I will give this episode of Dynamite a 7... There wasn't as much insanity as usual leading up to a AEW PPV and I felt like there is a lot left to be desired in the build up to this All In card.. However, I will say Rey Fenix and Jon Moxley surprised me I thought it was just going to be another brawling Jon Moxley type of match but it was actually a solid fast paced opener that made me want to pay attention for the rest of the episode.. There was a contract signing and Will Ospreay was amazing on the mic, Jericho held his own as well but I could feel the crowd kind of switch and start to like Ospreay a bit more just cause he had a bit more fire to what he was saying and it felt so real... Also all the brawling in this show makes for pretty decent build up and gets the crowd real hyped for sunday which is a plus that is why this Dynamite is a 7 because they hit on their bases.. Nick Wayne got his first win on an athletic roll up pin that made AR Fox look bad for losing to, but then Swerve took it another level and turned on him right in front of everyone which led to a huge brawl ensuing and some GOOD build up for 2 PPV matches, also I want to see Christian Cage feud with Nick Wayne, Christian Cage's promo on him is probably one of the funniest and best parts of this episode and I sincerely mean that even though he has a thing for roasting fatherless dudes and maybe for some its getting a bit redundant. Ruby Soho had a good match working with inexperienced Skye Blue.. Ruby is a professional a class act wrestler and to loosely quote the Bucks is someone who will "finally get their flowers when they are done", Skye is a very promising young woman with plenty of potential, the mechanics aren't quite there to a 3 or 4 star from Skye but you can tell she is learning more and more every week and that alone should get her over more and more as a babyface. As a closer Aussie Open beat the Hardys which I'm just gonna say is a damn shame we have seen the Hardy's job out to every tag team in AEW but maybe TK thinks they are on their way out and the best thing to do is to put everyone else over.. I know the Hardys dont mind but it does make me a little sad seeing one of my favorite tag teams of all time lose constantly to everyone on the roster.... Aussie Open did look really good here, cutting a nasty promo and bringing MJF and Adam Cole right out and they were all able to have really solid build up and get everyone hyped for the Main Event sunday. Will MJF or Adam Cole be the one to turn? That question gets me reeled into this PPV event and gives this episode good credit. Also FTR vs Bucks should be AWESOME.. We already kind of know whos going over though."
[9.0] "An excellent go home show. The promos were great, particularly MJF's sincerity, Christian seeing another dead dad to pick at, and surprisingly Matt Jackson coming in with the heat. He must've genuinely rattled Dax, because Dax completely fumbled his comeback after that you tube burn. All the matches had a purpose, were strong, and advanced the stories. The return of Billy Gunn was awesome, and the Hardy's were super over with the Duluth crowd, positioning Aussie Open as the clear heels for the face off with BTYBB. My two complaints: first, the kicking out of AR Fox by Swerve was a terrible decision, regardless of the reasoning. Fox finally felt like he had character and clear direction. He felt dangerous and interesting. Now what? another dull babyface again? Second, having FTR rush in to save the Bucks for a second week bordered on obnoxious. Page and Ibushi, these guys' actual friends should've done the save. Rest of the show was awesome."
[7.0] "Honestly I thought the show was okay. I know they it wasn't their best but it was definitely better than last week. At the start of the show you just had a brawl between Bullet Club Gold, Takeshita and The Elite with FTR assisting them. Great interview with MJF before his match at All In against Adam Cole. The Rey Fenix and Jon Moxley was an absolute banger of a match but I am guessing we are not getting Fenix at All In. Also great to see Proud N Powerful (Santana & Ortiz) back to side with the BCC we don't know who will be the other for the BCC and the fill-in for Fenix. That Osperay and Jericho contract signing was just great especially the promo with Osperay saying he is the best professional wrestler in the world and including better than Punk. The Cole interview was also great and it stills leave us questioning who is going to turn on who after that. It most likely will be MJF turning on Cole but seeing Cole turn will not be disappointing at all. The tag team match felt off just because once again AR Fox & Swerve Strickland got the offensive and Wayne gets the win with a roll-up. Also just to get a few weeks with AR Fox just to kick him out of the Embassy was kind of pointless. But it was cool to see Christian Cage on my screen so that was something. Then the intense promo between the Young Bucks and FTR to get ready for their match was amazing. That women's match was just off and once again they don't put Skye Blue over. I mean what good does this do for Ruby. I think Ruby is great but it doesn't do much for her. And once again besides the promo package with the women's match coming up at All In this was just it for the women's as we saw nothing else. Also the Acclaimed and Billy Gunn will face the HOB for the Trios Championship at All In which could be Gunn's last match. And the main event was just not enough but we got to see Better Than You Bay Bay come out and confront Aussie Open and the back and forth tease attacks on both of Cole and MJF. But in the end they did hug it out but again we don't know who is turning on who."
[10.0] "Excellent Episode. The Balance of story and quality matches was great on this show, they don't always get that right. Great to see Santana back. AEW have the best roster in the world and this was an episode that felt like the actually utilized it. It doesn't always feel like that. All in should be great and has a really unpredictable main event which is fantastic. MJF/Cole just feels so hot right now. They have built it perfectly. Jericho/Ospreay really sold the hell out of their match which I have no doubt will deliver"
[8.0] "AEW typically has very weak go home shows. This show was completely different than all of their other go home shows, feel like everything had a purpose to build towards their PPV on sunday. I don't really understand why they're kicking AR Fox out of the Mogul Embassy this fast though, it was the most interested that I have been in AR Fox for a very long time, and suddenly he's already done with Swerve? AR Fox literally left Nick Wayne in a pool of his own blood and is throwing that bloodied tank top in the face of Nick Wayne's mom, but they're cool now? Doesn't make sense."
[10.0] "A complete 180 from the previous two weeks. One of the best go-home Dynamites AEW has done. Everything felt bigger after this show. THIS is what the build to the biggest show in wrestling history should of been this whole time. A lot of quality matches on the show too, even the Hardys did not stink it up like usual. The only issue I had with the show was Darby forgiving AR Fox so quickly. Darby should have still been angry and let AR stew in his newfound loneliness and work his way back to gaining their forgiveness. Other than that, my hype for All In is super high right now."
[9.0] "A great go home show. I'd say AEW usually have a habit of peaking too early before their ppvs but this was the best one they had done in my opinion. The in ring side of things was up to par with what you'd expect from any good Dynamite, but the stories are where they really shined tonight. Jericho v Ospreay both doing solid promo work at the contract signing, the return of Santana and Ortiz to go against their longtime rivals, a great brawl to start off the show, and the MJF v Adam Cole segments sprinkled throughout the show all make this Dynamite what it was."
[8.0] "Good, go-home episode of Dynamite Fyter Fest. The Moxley/Ray Fenix match was a banger that was headlined by the return of Santana and Ortiz being revealed as tag partners of the BCC for Stadium Stampede at ALL IN. Hopefully Fenix is okay after the crowbar attack from Wheeler Yuta. Aussie Open taking care of business against the Hardys, now turn their attention to MJF and Adam Cole and the ROH tag titles Sunday. Will Ospreay and Chris Jericho cut very good promos during their contract signing. FTR and Young Bucks came face 2 face before their clash at ALL IN. The Mogul Embassy cutting ties with AR Fox after getting pinned by Nick Wayne sent a message to not only Darby Allin, Sting, but the rest of AEW that there won't be any weak links in the faction. Not to mention, a chaotic start between Bullet Club Gold and The Elite, a taste of what we're gonna get with the trios tag match at ALL IN, speaking of, Bad Ass Billy Gunn returned and hopefully The Acclaimed will go over the House of Black at Wembley Stadium."
[4.0] "The secret sauce that AEW normally has has truly gone out of date, a completely fine show but just not having that excellent taste AEW used to have, I see alot of people upset over AR Fox being booted out of the match but quite frankly the fact he was in the match in the first place was baffling, who is AR Fox? A nobody loser on AEW TV, a complete waste of time in terms of TV for the past few weeks building him up so thats good, WCW anyone? Anyway, a clusterfuck to start the show so we get 5 minutes of the Elite, it's amazing how cold the elite are right now in giving a damn about them, Moxley vs Fenix in a match that wouldn't end, with Excalibur putting on the Owen voice after a crowbar shot, just had to laugh, Ruby vs Skye was fine but meaningless, and the main event was as completely pointless, this forced over push trying to make people give a shit about Aussie Open is terrible, and a 5 minute over run? Terrible, basically i'm not hyped for All In at all, but i'm sure it'll be a good show."
