[7.0] "A good preshow with a good fight. A solid x-division match with Mike Belay and an entertaining tag team match for JOYA. Rivalry recap videos are also welcome for those who simply watch the PPV without seeing the weeklies. Nothing essential but it's still nice to watch for a half hour more!"

[7.0] "Very good "Impact Wrestling Countdown To Emergence 2023" considering that they are relatively short and free fights. It's nice that they do those fights and they enjoy themselves. Great way to prepare the public for the main event. WWE should consider going back to this format."

[6.0] "I have never quite understood pre shows for streaming specials, is there anyone watching this who wasn't planning to watch the main show already? The Angels/Speedball match is absolutely worth 10 minutes of your time. It's a pre show that lasts 30 minutes which works for me"

[6.0] "On the one hand, it is frustrating to see someone of Bailey's talent and personality on the pre-show with no story. On the other hand, if I wanted people to buy my show, I would put Speedball out for everyone to see and give people some fun with the stylings of JOYA. So, I guess this pre-show did its job."

[6.0] "This was a fun pre-show. Both matches were fun in different ways. It opened hot with the X-Division action which really got the crowd going. Then they followed with the more comedy style matches of the newly formed JOYA which was really fun and the live crowd especially loved."
