We opened with a match Between Knox and Murdoch and the Country Gentlemen that broke down into a brawl to, I guess, get me excited for the Crockett Cup. The NOW then faced Mario Pardua and Ryan Matthews in a dull match that didn't overstay its welcome. Samantha Starr and Kylie Paige then faced off an a match that was decent but showed that they both need more experience. Finally, the Handsome Bastards took on America's Ego in a solid, but unexciting qualifying match."

You almost get the impression for all the talk about the respect he has for the business and the NWA in particular Corgan seems to be doing everything he can to damage the NWA's legacy with some of the cartoony things he is doing with it akin to what the WWE (then known as the WWF) did back in the 1980s. It worked in the 80s but, fans will eventually sour on it if this keeps up. No wonder Aldis did not renew his contract with the NWA."
