[5.0] "This is the show that started doing the little promos before the intro so that's a very cool thing. Too bad it's only one of the very few cool things in the entire two hours. The show followed basically the exact same formula from the previous one, the matches got a little bit better but still not good. Show is so bad even the production suffers, seriously, did they hired a whole new crew for Collision when the show started? I can't believe the amount of takes they miss that seems so obvious and yet the camera angles were never right. Tanahashi can't do it anymore, Brody and Andrade were having a banger until the terrible finisher, the women's match was boring and the good thing is the Main Event was better than last week so there's that. Video packages were nice again, but the ring promos felt too long, Naito showing up was cool tho."

[6.0] "Unlike its debut, AEW's Collision 2nd show was pretty mediocre. First, it was promo-heavy, with too much time for Chris Jericho and Christian Cage. The opener was pretty disappointing, with no chemistry or sense of urgency. The highlight again was Andrade vs. The House of Black, this time going after Brody King. The match was great, but the finish was disappointing. I hope they let this feud run without outside interference. The women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament 1/4 Finals was flat; Nyla & Willow had zero chemistry; It felt forced. Swerve Strickland's match, if you can call it that, was a joke. I can't seem to understand why both WWE & AEW choose to put a Superstar over with squash matches against enhancement talent; To me, it serves no purpose. The main event was good, but like the first show, too long. AEW can keep it at 15 minutes and it'll still be good enough. The main focal point was CM Punk vs. Jay White; Their matchup was pretty intense and enjoyable."

"Yes! The intro, a hark back to the golden age of wrestling - yes, do this for every episode of Collision and never ever stop! It kicks into Elton John's iconic rocking tune - it just feels *perfect*. Nice promo with Jericho, Sting, Darby and co - what a feud this could become. Swerve continues to prove he's invaluable to AEW with a solid match against Tanahashi. Andrade vs Brody didn't quite pop like Matthews and Andrade did, but it is hard to replicate that organic chemistry from last week. WIllow vs Nyla was disappointing, but not too bad. I don't know what's happened with Nyla but I think it is the intensity ain't there - where is the brutalisation? Good promos in between, it was all flowing nicely with Miro and Scorpio. Then... oh my, the main event! One night not in Chicago and what a different story for CM Punk. I rewatched a few things closely - I got the impression the initial in-ring from Jay White was a shoot, as well as when Juice pulled away from Punk after he tagged out - Punk looked genuinely concerned as to what was happening. The main event got wild due to that crowd - the Gunns getting cheered for beating on Punk was super surprising. Cash doing that insane tope, Starks doing those spears, it just looked like the wrestlers themselves were getting influenced by the crowd. Wild. Can't wait to see it all unfold... or unravel. Good booking though, CM being shown as beatable and fallible is totally necessary, considering the talent around him. BUT... the commentary was utterly, utterly, utterly terrible. These guys don't know the product, they don't know the usual AEW commentary tropes and Kevin Kelly was in particular just not on point. This will have to improve, or change."

[3.0] "Nach einer starken Debut Show von Collision, kommt eine Schwache Bis Solide 2. Episode.

I didn't like the main event as much as most but it was the best match on the card (It's always nice to see jay white wrestle). christian cage's promo was pretty decent. I was in attendance for this show and I got lucky and was upgraded to a really good seat in front of hard cam (around row 10). the show was way too long with the ring of honour tapings (Only a problem for people in attendance and has not effected the rating). Overall not a bad show just a bit meh."

Always happy to see Julia Hart in a big spot. Willow Nightingale continues to be one of my favorite women in wrestling. That powerbomb on Nyla for the finish was great. Great moment when Anthony Bowens said he was gay and the crowd gave him a huge babyface response. Really warmed my cold heart. Hobbs continues to be one of my favorites, push that man. And Miro denouncing God was something indeed. Love Jay White and Juice, along with Starks and FTR being in the main event. Watch out for Austin Gunn, he's got a little Curt Hennig in him."

Tanahashi vs Sw3rve was satisfacotry, mainly because of Sw3rve's great perfomance because Tanahashi has his best days behind him and he is not as fast as he is before. Great post-match promo by Mjf, tho. King vs. Andrade was pretty good and the post-match beatdown was also cool. I will never complain about a Christian Cage promo and I will never get tired of hearing him roast people, fans and cities. Another great promo added to the list! Rose vs. Nightingale was bad and Hobbs's squash was alright. The eight man tag was good but too long and not as good as last week's. Happy to see Bullet Club Gold win because they are great and fore the second week in a row they were Mvps of the match. Overall: a step back from last week's episode but still a solid show."

They are 2 for 2 on fire Collision main events. This episode sort of felt like a Dynamite episode at times. The Tana match mostly just made me sad, his knees are so shot. HOB are always enjoyable, but the ladies match and then the Hobbs squash left my attention adrift. Still puzzled by the intentions of Miro and Scorpio after all this time. Their segments were decent but their direction and who they are actually going to feud with is beyond vague. My two favorite things on the show may be Christians TNT promo and the Mens Owen Tourney one. They both were very solid and gave purpose and direction to what was going to happen next. Main event was very solid, I liked a lot of work from the heel team, but I am not sure it warranted the entire last half hour of the show. Rickys final stretch and how he lost either makes me think hes getting cooled off before he becomes temporary unavailable/free agent or he goes all the way and wins the Owen. Hoping for the latter but I see a lot of others feel the former."

The Willow/Nyla Rose match was a low point and I find the whole Owen Hart foundation tournament rather clout chasing as he has no history with AEW, seeing as he died 20 years before it started and I don't really get why they do it? Andrade and Brody King had a solid match and Andrade being given 2 singles matches in 2 weeks is a high point of Collision being introduced. Look forward to next week."

Opening the show with a promo package between the two main event teams was a nice throwback and really set the tone for the show. Seeing Naito debut was incredible and he was over like rover. Tanahashi and Swerve was a matchup I would've never dreamed of and it rocked. Christian delivered an excellent promo and is a nice reset for the TNT title. There were some interesting new camera choices such as filming outside the arena and even a moving shot through the crowd. A video package featuring every Owen competitor and their motivations was very nice to see. Willow and Powerhouse Hobbs came across as potential big stars for Collision. The main event was a banger. It has a different energy and feel than Dynamite with the different announcers and performers and even the crowd seems more lively on the weekends. Has the aura that Rampage never could attain and a lot of that is no doubt due to CM Punk. Love him or hate him, he is on another level in terms of star power and reactions. Definitely get the John Cens vibes with the split reactions, but either way people go crazy for him and thats all that really matters right now. Awesome main event. The other really strong match was Andrade and Brody King, two guys that can really shine with added tv time. The opening segment was very fun with the Naito reveal. The only disappointment was the Tanahashi match wasnt great. The crowd loved him but he just cant keep up with guys like Swerve anymore.
