[6.0] "No great matches here but at least a few good ones. Kagetora & Ryoma vs Tozawa & Chikano was a fine energetic opener. **1/2. Fuji, Mochizuki, & Kishiwada vs the KO team was decent. Mochizuki and Nakajima's interactions were good. The KO team were endearingly energetic but still unpolished (excl. Nakajima). **3/4. Sasaki vs Ishikawa was your usual Ishikawa comedy. NR. Gamma & Susumu vs Saito & Horiguchi was alright. The heels' work was generic but decent. Susumu showed good power, and Gamma stood out with his agility plus his cheeky heelish spots. The quick pace with the mix of impactful exchanges, heel spots, and near falls was exciting, but the DQ finish was underwhelming. ***. Yoshino vs Cima was pretty good but not as good as their 2008 Gate of Generation match. Both guys showed good creativity and energetic bursts, but the match didn't have any clear segments, since they eventually just suddenly started going for big moves. Everything was executed very cleanly at least. ***1/4 - ***1/2. Kamikaze vs Real Hazard vs World-1 was your typical DG multi-man tag with creative run-on sequences and a nice mixture of styles. The final 1/4th wasn't as exciting as I hoped for, but I still mostly enjoyed this. ***1/4 - ***1/2. Mori vs Kong told the fine story of a dainty babyface against a powerful monster. The ref bump, interference, and match restart all felt unnecessary, but Mori got some good hope spots and Kong's power was entertaining. This never felt appropriately dramatic though, given the mask-vs-hair stipulation. **3/4. Doi vs Kanemoto was really good but not without its issues. I really liked Kanemoto's various stiff strikes, gruesome holds, and general arrogance, and I thought Doi's real-time selling, energetic comebacks, and eventual confidence was all very good, but his long-term leg-selling was annoyingly inconsistent and it felt forced having him survive so many leg locks before rather quickly putting Kanemoto away. ***1/2"
