[5.0] "Not the most interesting episodes of Raw. It is at least refreshing to see a 1998 episode mostly focused on the wrestling, but I'd only really recommend the Owen v Jarrett match and the LHW tag and even then I thought they was both decent, but not amazing. To be fair I didn't think anything was terrible either, but the other matches are kinda there really and the first half of the show is skippable. There was an obvious void here with DX not being on the show at all with the main thing was they was absent because they threatened a lawsuit because Austin stunned Chyna at the PPV. Weak. The best segment here was The Rock giving Rolexes to the other members of the Nation and gave Faarooq a framed picture of him and the Nation imploding after Faarooq loses is fun to watch. Rocky was really starting to find his way on the mic at this point."

This RAW focuses more on the wrestling side of things, with Owen and Jarrett having the best match, however there isn't an outright bad match on the card. Enjoying the NOD implosion and I also enjoyed Kane beating the hell out of Michael Hayes."

There is far more wrestling on this show than is common for the period and most of it is enjoyable. There are also good promos from Rock and Austin and further advancement of the Mero/Sable angle. I'm not sure why this has been so poorly received, since beyond the fact that nothing of significance happens in terms of the big storylines it's actually a very entertaining show."

There's no DX and just a minor appearance from Austin, though the Nation and the Rock had a good in-ring promo. Owen Hart got to show off for once, and some of the matches weren't half bad wrestling bouts, but this definitely felt a whole lot like a filler episode."
