[9.0] "GP23 had everything I look for in a big show from the performers at TJPW. We get the big emotional matches, promising rookies fresh off their debuts and some super fun comedy matches. The undercard in particular was great and the International Princess bout is an early MOTY contender for me. Really my only complaint is the main event was a bit of a dud, even if I got the result I wanted. Definitely not for people who don't want to watch a wrestling show where a superhero battles a giant panda with a lightsaber but you probably know this isn't for you if that's the case...right?"

[5.0] "TJPW has never been my cup of tea. The comedy and cutesy characters just aren't what I look for in wrestling. Still, I would usually tune in for the big shows because they always get a lot of praise. I'd always be lower on it than everyone else, but the shows were ok at worst. This one, however, was straight up bad. The usually bad undercard was terrible, with the opener being the only bright spot. The usually good top of the card was hugely disappointing (except Miu vs Rika, the only actually very good match on the show). The crowd didn't help either. They were dead for most of the show and only came alive a couple of times. It really felt like a pandemic show with no cheering allowed. I guess running a massive building when you draw a Korakuen sized crowds for your big shows is not the best idea. On a more positive note, Miu is the real deal. Easily the MVP of this show and someone they should push hard in the near future."

[7.0] "This had a strong undercard but a kind of weak main card. Suzume v Arisu was a fun way to get started but felt like it could've reached a higher level with a few more minutes. Grouping the rookies together in one match helped to make sure there weren't several weak matches on the undercard. The trios match was decently silly but could've featured a bit more wrestling. Ryo Mizunami, Shoko/Misao hijinks, and NBG were all great presences on the card, but they've all been used better than they were here. Aja v Yuki Arai was pointless and a much worse version of the Ryo v Moka match. The Tag Title match was some good spectacle but not the best wrestling match 121000000 has had recently. The main event was more of a middle school play than a big main event title match. The International Princess title match was far and away the best match on the show. For a show this big, at least one other match needed to approach its greatness. Beyond that, the entrances and look of the venue was a step down from last year. Also, the audience being as spread out as they were takes some of their impact away. Even though they're smaller crowds, Shinjuku Face and Korakuen Hall crowds feel bigger."

[9.0] "Really great show with a super emotional ending. The high points were the payoff for the main event and the Miu vs Rika match. TJPW seem to be on a permanently upward trajectory. Koda has broken my heart a few times now by not wanting to pull the trigger, so glad he did this time. Lots of new rookies to look forward to their development too."

[8.0] "I came into this event very hyped and excited. For the most part it delivered but there was a lull in the middle that the intermission compounded... and then the last 2 matches were a little bit of a disappointment. I still found the ending emotional and enjoyed the whole roster being there and the hugs but the match didn't deliver for me. TJPW have a lot of good momentum and I think a lot of new fans were made tonight despite the shortcomings"

[9.0] "TJPW almost always delivers with their big shows, and while I would not say this is their best show ever or anything like that, it felt like for the first time in forever there are actual changes at the top of the card. Yes, I say that mostly because of Mizuki finally winning the big one, but Itoh also continues to rack up big wins, as she got the deciding fall last month at the Max Heart finals and now here in the tag title match, also TJPW keeps on recruting and debuting new rookies. Out of this newest crop Himawari and Wakana obviously stand out the most, but Toga seems like she could have some potential as a hoss. Now, the match quality itself was real solid across the board here with everything ranging from decent to fuckin great. Grand Slam Rika and Miu put on the MOTN imo, but Yuka and Mizuki also put on a great and emotional match in the main event. Anyways, yeahthe times are a changing Tokyo Joshi Pro, and its about time."

[10.0] "What a show! Great opener with Suzume vs Arisu Endo. The rookie showcase was good. The six woman tag was a lot of fun especially with Ram Kaicho and Raku's interaction. Moka had a really strong showing against Ryo Mizunami. Giant Panda match was good TJPW silliness. NEO Biishiki-gun coming back was great. Aja Kong vs Yuki Arai was the one weak match. Arai sells merch though so they had to put her somewhere. International princess title match was sick. Dragon sleeper swing was awesome. Tag title match was good, but I don't see the point in Miyu immediately going on tour. The main event was shocking. TJPW usually plays it safe. Having Mizuki win is great and hopefully means they will start pushing new main eventers. Definitely make time to watch this show. It just flies by."

[7.0] "A strange show in the fact that everything was good but not much really delivered to quite the level of potential it had. It marks a run of big shows for TJPW where it lands below my expectations. It was a show full of emotion that will have a greater impact on longer term fans compared to those who dip in and out"

[9.0] "A long show, especially by TJPW standards, that will always be revered for the payoffs. Whenever people talk about how TJPW booking is too reserved, this event will always serve as a deterrent to that ideology. On one of TJPW's biggest shows of the calendar year, all three titles changed hands. Two of those title changes were in emotional, heated matches between teammates, each of which was great in their own way. Rika and Miu put forth a sublime match for the International title, with an ending that took me by surprise. Mizuki and Yuka followed a path that I never expected, as it was the opposite of their first title encounter. This one was a lot more violent, stiff and felt ominous before the stunning and quick rally by Mizuki. The tag title match was the perfect cooldown between those two matches, but it was still a good match that didn't go too long. The undercard was mostly good and often times great. The opening match was a fun and spirited opener. The rookies match was decent. Both Moka/Ryo and Aja/Yuki were similar, albeit one was simpler and the other was a bit overkill, but both were good. Andreza and Neko vs. Shoko and Misao was comedic gold and peak wrestling. The six-woman tag, highlighted by Pom, Ram and Raku was exactly what I wanted it to be. The one blight on the card was NBG vs. Kamiyu and Billie, which went too long and featured a scary moment that ruined the match for me, but even that match had its fair share of entertaining moments. When a show features multiple great title matches, a mostly enjoyable undercard with some great matches there too, only one disappointing match and generates this much goodwill for your promotion, it deserves at least a 9. This show felt like a shift in ideology for TJPW. Who knows whether it will lead to a new norm, things will eventually revert back to how they used to be or neither of those things will happen. As things stand right now, it's really hard to not be extremely happy as a TJPW fan. Just please, don't make 4 hour PPVs a norm like other promotions. That's all I ask."
