"Tale of 2 halves. Athena vs Willow and Aussie Open vs The Foundation were both excellent matches. ROH still trying to find it's feet and a new identity. Fully expect it to evolve before our eyes. CD & Sydal was super awkward and not well lit in my opinion."

[7.0] "I like that the show has a proper opening now, and the first match was alright. I felt like Joe gave Deppen too much offence, but whatever. I love Mark Briscoe and he challenged Joe for The TV Title, which is something to look forward to. I like Dalton Castle, and I don't know if this is because I watched ROH for years, but I feel like having The Boys with him holds him back at this point. Maybe it gets him over to people who never seen the act before, I don't know. I really liked the promo from The Kingdom. Spanish Announce Project were just awful, Luther was so blown up managing that he no sold a punch from Rush because he was too tired. I hope we don't get anymore of these people in ROH. I did like that Serpentico was unmasked, hopefully that's the end of that character. The match between Adora and Starkz was fine. I don't like The Trustbusters at all, and Jake Manning was such a clown with his dumb Man Scout gimmick. I liked Wheeler's heel work this week, though again we have sort of a repeat from what happened last week. I enjoyed The Pure Title match. The match between The Foundation and Aussie Open was fun, and I especially like the spot where they switched out on the delayed suplex on Titus. The finishing moves at the end of the match were sick as well. Eddie is great and I enjoyed the squash match. Him beating Serpentico with a Back Fist to The Future was fantastic. I liked the main event match, though I wonder if Athena is going to be punished at all for attack her opponent post match."

[7.0] "A difficult show to rate. It was paced more effectively than the first episode but there is still too much. There are three good matches on this show in the Pure Title match, the Aussie Open tag, and the main event which was my MOTN. The remainder of the show had a lot of what felt like enhancement matches (and some that may as well have been extended enhancement matches.) Why they decided to make this ROH show so long is beyond me. It is a paid service and when half of the show feels like another version of one of the *free* AEW YouTube shows, it makes me question the point of paying for the service. Yes, there is the library which of course has a ton of great stuff. Yes, there are matches that reach a higher ceiling here than what either Dark show typically offers. However, if this is the only original new content they are going to provide, I feel like it needs to be more substantial. If this show started with the Pure title match and went through the main event (even with the Kingston squash) Id probably give this an 8/10 based on the 3 key matches. Im leaned more 6- 7 due to the amount of enhancement matches on the show. Hopefully the show sees more improvement in that manner as they continue."

[6.0] "I feel like in a few weeks time the show will have its footing and its own voice, but right now its does kinda feel like AEW Dark and/or Elevation in a way. Im not sure I have a prescription to fix it, it just feels like a super stacked YouTube show."

[4.0] "When this card was first announced, I was really looking forward to the Samoa Joe-Tony Deppen match. Deppen's claim to fame is that he's a very hard worker who gives it everything he's got and can have stiff, competitive bouts. If booked correctly, that match could have been as good as the recent Joe-Darby Allin matches. Instead, Tony Khan basically books it as a forgettable extended squash that does Tony Deppen no favors, other than a one-time payday. In the old ROH, guys got over based on having fantastic performances in the ring. In the new ROH, Khan expects them to get over just by having squash matches. That format is not interesting and doesn't work, as evidenced by the fact that nobody cares about AEW Dark, and nobody on AEW Dark has gotten over. Repeating the same formula for ROH and expecting different results is madness."

[7.0] "5 points for an average Hour One, 9 points for a great Hour Two, therefore a 7 point average. Aussie Open vs. Titus & Williams and the main event boosted this episode massively. Hopefully when the next tapings come around, Tony Khan realises that going the Dark route with this show isn't the best, maybe keep it to one hour, have two great matches, a good midcard match and a squash, a bit like a better Rampage."

[6.0] "If this was half the length and only started at the Pure title match it might be close to a perfect 10 for a 1 hour taped weekly show. Instead it has a 3rd version of Dark attached to the beginning which doubles its run time with average to boring stuff"
benny5bellys wrote on 10.03.2023:
[6.0] "The Aussie Open match along with the main event saved this from being very humdrum. There is a real danger of these shows just being AEW Dark with a few more stakes. They need to mix it up or it will get boring real fast as the vast majority of the short matches are just not that interesting."
