[8.0] "This followed the same format as the rest of the tour but my goodness the twist at the end was epic. This was long overdue, they did it perfectly and everything made sense. Now NJPW will have a much more balanced roster with Finlay & Sanada being heel faction leaders"

[8.0] "TMDK vs House Of Torture: Solid opening match, a watchable House Of Torture match with some quite good action (***). Oskar Leube, Ryusuke Taguchi, Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma: A decent, and entertaining match (***). Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima and Tama Tonga vs Bishamon & Toru Yano: Another decent match (***). CAOS vs LIJ: A great match, the crowd was hot into it, Lio Rush has gained more momentum towards the title match (***). BULLET CLUB vs Strong Style & Shota Umino: Great highly conpetive match, liked the brawl between Minoru Suzuki ad KENTA and Suzuki then getting the win (***). Mark Davis vs EVIL: Okay match, but the consistent interference from House Of Torture was annoying but glad when United Empire got involved, Davis winning was good (***). SANADA vs Tetsuya Naito: Classic match, SANADA proved why he should be a world champion, really hard fought (****1/2)"

[5.0] "This show didn't land for me as most Korakuen Hall shows do. The tag matches that were fresh at the start of the tour are starting to feel tiresome nine show in, and both of the tournament matches were just good. The post-match will be what this show is remembered for"

[7.0] "Well done tournament event. Two awesome New Japan Cup matches and solid undercard. This show showed us the ending and beginnings of new stories - finishing HOT vs. UE mini-feud, heating up tomorrow's event and Junior title match, setting up KENTA vs. Suzuki, a bit strange Taguchi vs. O-Khan story and finally delivering a one shocking moment of SANADA joining Just 4 (now 5) Guys."
