[6.0] "Not the greatest ECW show but some really fun moments. Raven vs. Dreamer was great, as was 2 Cold vs. Eddie, and though messy in some ways I really enjoyed the main event."
[6.0] "This show had some notable moments, including the introductions to ECW of both Beulah and Eddie Guerrero, the first singles match between Tommy Dreamer and Raven in what would become one of the keystone rivalries of ECW, Woman's betrayal of Sandman, and in his absence the end of Sabu's first run with ECW. The actual matches were a bit of a mixed bag, but it was mostly pretty solid, including a great match for the debuting Eddie Guerrero as he challenged 2 Cold Scorpio for the TV Title, a solid brawl for Raven and Dreamer with Richards and Beulah at ringside that would serve as a harbinger of things to come, and a main event that won't go down as one of Benoit and Malenko's technical classics, but was good chaotic ECW fun nonetheless. While there wasn't much to the actual match between Simmons, the angle with Simmons trying to draw out 911 and then use his own move on him was a well-done angle and a good moment for Simmons' oft-forgotten ECW run. Douglas vs Sandman was OK - it was one of those rare matches where Sandman actually tried some matwork - but wasn't among the stronger ECW Title bouts, and was mainly a setup for the Woman betrayal angle. The rest was on the weaker side - the opener was just a squash as the Bullies were booted from Raven's Nest in favor of the Pitbulls, Myers vs Sandoff was a throwaway, and the battle of the Rottens was a rather lame brawl that had blood but not much else. But overall, a decent short watch with some notable moments in its favor, and as was usually the case with ECW at this time was greatly helped by a white-hot crowd."
[4.0] "The worst of so called supershows of 1995 in ECW so far. The start of it is actually pretty good with a quick squash by the Pitbulls and the introduction of Beaulah with a enjoyable brawl between Raven and Dreamer. Then we get Whipwreck/Simmons stuff, not a good match followed by 911 coming out for Ron. After that the ECW debut of Eddie Guerrero who puts on a great match against Scorpio, a real technical bout, sadly it goes downhill from here. Usual Rotten brothers gimmick fight, which almost rarely is even average, a pointless Hack Myers squash, a ECW title match that has like 75% of the match cut out from the Network version for some reason and a main event between 3 teams, that is only average, it should have been so much better. Overall, just kinda mediocre, you could watch Guerrero/Scorpio and the first two matches, but don't really bother with the rest."
[5.0] "Pretty much exactly what you'd expect from an ECW card at this point. Lots of brawls, some blood, and the occasional bit of good wrestling. For the most part it's reasonably fast paced and entertaining, but nothing particularly worth going out of your way for. A 5 seems a little generous, but it's noticeably better than anything WWF or WCW were putting out at the time, and benefits from that."
[5.0] "Another mixed bag from ECW. First match was a simple squash to advance the angle of Raven's Nest, which would lead to the bigger angle of introducing Beulah prior to a solid and enjoyable brawl between Raven and Dreamer. This was probably their first singles match and they gave us a great teaser of what's to come later on. Next match was nothing special, and simply continued to set up Simmons vs. 911. I think Simmons was on his way out of ECW at the time. TV title match was a great way to introduce Guerrero. This was a fast paced match and for its time, the crowd sure enjoyed it as it was something different from the usual. I felt these two meshed well together with Scorpio hitting some impressive high impact moves. The Rotten brothers had a weak 10 minute match that I could not bring myself to pay attention to. Never saw the appeal in this feud. Next match was even weaker. World title match was a bit hard to rate. I doubt the full match was aired and for the most part, it was to set up an angle with Woman defecting to Douglas. Circumstances forced Taz to team with Rick Steiner, which was a nice surprise. The defending champions never fail to impress, but this match included the Public Enemy. I hate to speak ill of the dead, but they were a garbage and annoying team. This went longer than it needed to. It wasn't a bad match, but not even the superior team could get a good match out of the Public Enemy. You had some good stuff on this show, but a lot of it could have been skipped. maybe sticking to Hardcore TV is a better idea."
