16.07.2023 | Frank Shooter | 6.0 | Without the opener, Bray Wyatt bringing back the Funhouse for one night only and the Imperium vs Brutes match this is a very weak show. The way they're setting up Sami Zayn's betrayal feels so forced to me. Two months ago he made The Bloodline stronger than ever, even finally gaining Jey Uso's trust. Why all of a sudden are Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns trying to get rid of him when he is constantly showing his loyalty to the family? Just because he lost to John Cena? Because Roman is losing his mind due to KO always messing with them? I don't know, maybe the betrayal and the Trial on RAW XXX where amazing segments, but the build up to that is the worst part of the whole Bloodline storyline.

30.01.2023 | Prince Osborne | 7.0 | McIntyre & Sheamus gave a great head start to the contenders' tourney against Viking Raiders who knocked in some tension beforehand. It served as a firecracker of a beginning to the show which was followed by a momentum gaining squash for LA Knight. But he was stopped once again by the mind freak in Wyatt who brought back the Firefly Funhouse much to a cool surprise as the next step of mind games. Since he brought back the Eater of Worlds persona the previous week for a warning, this one had the same motive, but a different way of delivery and it looks like Wyatt will go through either a brand-new shade or a mix of all his former selves. Los Lotharios, one of the coolest prospects I've seen recently with ton of potential, became cannon fodder to the underwhelming Hit Row as part of the tourney whereas Charlotte & Sonya push each other harder in a lackluster rivalry. Brutes & Imperium collided again despite being short, but the stakes were high, and the chemistry didn't miss a beat. The winners are perfect for clinching the whole thing as I had them in mind if this wasn't in the works. MMM & LDF squared off in a match that barely left an impression except for the result while the same can't be said for KO as he left a warning to Reigns that he could pull off the possible upset in a standard yet cool hit-n-run assault. As much as I'm happy to see the tournament carry the action side of things, this episode surely elevated to a solid grade because of the progress for all storylines. Wyatt & Knight continue their psychological war whereas the hottest act in Reigns/Owens gets better every week. Only one show is away from the PPV and I'm curious to see how the final nails in the coffin are hit. 7.5 out of 10 points!

23.01.2023 | Ben Branson | 1.0 | I decided to watch SmackDown for the first time in years, and boy, was that a mistake. Outside of the opening match, this show was a real chore to bear. Between the mediocre promos and lacklustre squashes, I struggled to get through this in multiple sittings. I'm not sure if I'll do this again next week. Maybe I caught this show on a bad week? I could've sworn the performance was a bit better than this the last time I watched.

23.01.2023 | GimliJr | 8.0 | Very good episode, carried by a tournament for the team titles of Smackdown rather nice. The matches were uneven but it's also nice not to have 4 big 20 minute matches. A bit disappointing not to have a women's match though. Segment wise it was great, the Firefly Fun House did the job, and the Bloodline/Zayn/Owens exchanges were great and well performed this Friday. 7, 5/10 (3* 3/4).

23.01.2023 | flightaker321 | 7.0 | Having all the matches being tag team matches for the tag tournament was nice, showcasing its importance was nice, but not having one women's match on the show was disappointing. The Charlotte/Sonya was great, and La Knight's stuff was fine until Bray got involved. Kevin Owens looking like an absolute killer in the last segment was great, can't wait to see where they go with Sami from here

22.01.2023 | MachoHBK | 6.0 | I was at this show live so I'll give you my take from that perspective. It was a strange show with 5 tag matches including the dark match involving the Usos (which had been announced in the arena so the whole "get the vehicles ready" bit didn't really work real time as we knew Jay and Jimmy were still scheduled to wrestle). There were only two singles matches including a pointless squash match for LA Knight just to introduce a Brey Wyatt promo & Liv Morgan vs. Xia Li which was the dark opener. Again, that also seemed strange to me, why isn't Liv getting the time on air? Sheamus and Drew MacIntyre put on a good match with the Viking Raiders that went long enough for me to bite on two false finishes before the inevitable Banger Brothers win. Imperium's entrance in front of projected pillars the height of an arena is as awesome live as it looks on TV, but I only got to see Gunther show up in the curtains, then go backstage to go back to sleep or whatever so that was disappointing. That guy is awesome. Kaiser and the other guy win so Gunther doesn't even have to come slap them around. Hit Row then wins their match for whatever reason and its at this point I realize either Legado del Fantasmo or Maximum Male Models gets to advance and we have to see two of those guys again next week instead of the Viking Raiders... the seeding of the teams in the tourney really hosed the Raiders who are great performers lost in the shuffle. Charlotte Flair got a huge pop when she came to the ring & the most enjoyable part of the night for me was aggressively chanting "You suck! " at Sonya Deville, who turned down a championship match opportunity on the spot in favor of attacking Charlotte after that from behind. So that was stupid. When KO ran into the ring to catch Roman and Solo by surprise, he actually ran right past me, I kind of realized as it happened. Then he also left through another area of the crowd, which is cool for the fans for sure. The dark match between the Usos and Street Profits was pretty standard from both but I really love what the Street Profits do, they put on a show. I had seen them in December on the Holiday Tour take on Alpha Academy in a house show which was spectacular. That happened to be the Raw roster leg of the tour, so seeing them mix it up across Smackdown again too makes ne hope they get a big push for tag team gold somewhere again soon, now that Montez Ford is healthy again.

I liked the concept of it being a tag team focused show but unfortunatley, only 2 of the 4 tag matches were good (Imperium vs The Brawling Brutes, and The Banger Bros vs The Viking Raiders), with Imperium vs the Brawling Brutes being the standout match in my opinion. Built up a couple rivalries, Decent show. 7/10 |

At least the opener was good, but all but one of the other matches were dull squashes, and there were no women's matches. Some of the story work building up to the Rumble was good, but it was ten minutes of build stretched into half an hour. Weak show overall. |

21.01.2023 | Rocky7 | 6.0 | No women's matches this week, and the Flair/Deville segment was poor. The focus here was the Bloodline angle, ending in Kevin Owens running wild on everyone except Sami Zayn. Most of the show was taken up by the tag team tournament, well at least two matches of it, plus Bray Wyatt bringing back the Firefly Funhouse. Felt like a Vince McMahon show pretending to be a Triple H show.
21.01.2023 | Roodolph | 7.0 | This was a good, solid show. Good match between Drew/Sheamus vs Viking Raiders. After months they did something different with Bray Wyatt, this is a miracle. Nice contract signing. it was a very impactful segment. The Bloodline storyline is always interesting. I find the booking of Los Lotharios embarrassing, they are two talented guys who deserve better.
