[6.0] "In my opinion, this issue is overrated and it was quite ordinary. I think the show's high rating is solely due to the main event, which I also think is overrated. To be honest, I didn't have any hype about the main match and it seemed good, but definitely not 5 or 10/10. Otherwise, it was an ordinary release with good and weak moments."
[7.0] "The opener was good and very entertaining. Storm vs. Blue was okay. Moxley vs. Grayson was satisfactory. the Gunns vs. Top Filght was bad but FTR's title vs. carrer challenge was very cool. Hook vs. Hathway was super funny and Cole/Garcia promo was alright. The main event was amazing and elevated the quality of the whole show. I love this new version of the BCC and I'm looking foward to find out what's going to happen with Page and The Elite. Overall: there it was a good storylines progression and all the matches were fine but nothing special except the main event that was amazing."
[8.0] "While most of the attention this show receives will be regarding the main event (and rightfully so, that match was incredible), there was a lot else to like about this show. Skye Blue & Toni Storm put on one of the better women's matches in recent Dynamite memory, the opening match was fun, and we got some fantastic fire from Ricky Starks. The ending of the show with Hangman, Callis, & Omega was not great, but not enough to tarnish the main event."
[8.0] "A pretty fun episode. Most of the card delivered, with for sure, the breakthrough performance of El Hijo del Vikingo. Garcia and Cole segment was pretty interesting, moreover. Surely the segment of the evening. Otherwise, the other storylines are going slowly, but surely."
[6.0] "Seems like everyone is giving this show a high rating due to the main event. Let's get real though, this show sucked up until the main event. Every match was average at best until the main event. Skye Blue vs Toni Storm and Mox vs Grayson are just extended squash matches."
[5.0] "A completely mediocre show that was saved from being outright poor by the great main-event. The ambulance angle at the start was really rushed, so it didnt get over as a big deal. The opening 6-man tag was fine but very forgettable. There was fine beatdown/control work from the heels and decently energetic comebacks from the babyfaces, but it was all very generic. **1/2. The Gunns vs Top Flight was another fine match with a good pace but nothing special. Dante and Darius high-flying was all good, and The Gunns' cheap tactics were generic but executed with solid enough technique and heel character work. Interference at the end was a shame. **1/2. The post-match angle with FTR putting their AEW careers on the line for the Tag Titles show was really good, and definitely makes the stakes on that match very high. Hook vs Stokely was an enjoyable angle more than a match. Stokely's pre-match promo was really entertaining, and his wimpy efforts in the match itself were likewise pretty funny. Hook's various spots looked good as usual, but Im still waiting for him to have a truly competitive match to show what hes really capable of. Too short, no rating. Cole's promo setting up a match with Garcia was alright. Cole was decently confident, while Garcia was typically dorky. At least this role as a ratty heel heater suits Garcia far more than his previous pushes/roles. Moxley vs Grayson was alright. After some real sloppiness in the opening, they ended up having some okay strike/brawl exchanges, and both also had a few cool spots to show off their individual skills. Grayson was off with a few bits of his offence, though never in any major way. **3/4. Starks' backstage promo calling out Juice was short but good. The 2nd QTV segment was obnoxious and without value once again. Toni vs Skye was somewhat fine. Toni's aggressive beatdown work and big moves were good as usual, while Skye showed endearing babyface fire but didn't have the most convincing offence. The distractions on the outside were annoying, too. **1/4. Riho once again trying to be threatening with the post-match save was hilariously embarrassing. BCC's backstage attack on Grayson was good, continuing their far more interesting new direction as heels. Omega vs Vikingo was the only truly good thing on this show, and boy was it great. A full-on showcase of Vikingos insane athleticism and creativity, with Omega making for a perfect partner and also impressing on his own. My AEW MOTY so far. ****. The BCCs post-match attack on Omega was good, though I disliked Page's big save because: (1) him riding in on the ambulance was hokey Attitude Era edginess, and (2) he just doesn't look like the compelling badass he thinks he is. Callis framing Page as attacking him to start tension between Omega and Page was pretty hokey but it was thankfully addressed in a somewhat logical manner the next week (Omega saw the replay but Callis made some crafty excuses to still drive tension between him and Page)."
[10.0] "Hard to not feel this was a perfect show. You had story progression in and outside the ring when it comes to the BCC-Hangman-Dark Order-Elite story. You have the top heel female faction continue to challenge the homegrowns. A great comedy match with Stokely, with the Firm being hilarious. And a great appearance by Sting. The only sad thing is FTR pulling my emotional heartstrings, but that's life."
"Just started watching AEW after the banger matches at Revolution, and Kenny v. Vikingo was such an amazing bout! I've enjoyed a lot of the ongoing storylines, and it's been fun catching up on the whole Elite saga. Interested to see where it goes from here, a fun show."
[7.0] "A decent show bumped up in rating by the Elite story and the amazing Main Event between Vikingo and Omega. They had an absolute banger. Everything else on the show moved along just fine, nothing bad but nothing else to highlight really"
[8.0] "Pretty great dynamite, even the Hook vs Stokely Hathaway match was fun, if short. The promos really stood out to me in this episode. Vikingo vs Omega was of course incredible, but the rest of the matches absolutely delivered as well."
[9.0] "Another gerat episode of Dynamite coming from a really interesting cliffhanger last week. This episode was carried by the main even without a doubt at least talking about in ring action, the other matches were ok but basically were just a way to progress the different storylines which is something that really made the last 2 episodes feel so fresh."
[8.0] "The Bucks getting attacked at the start of Dynamite leading to a story long storyline was a nice thing to see AEW do for once. There's some solid wrestling on this show before the main event, and I thought the Cole/Garcia segment was good. I swear to God they've been copying and pasting the women's segments for the past month; nobody can tell me otherwise. The main event was awesome, and I liked Hangman showing up at the end of the show in the ambulance big attitude era vibes, but that post match shit was Kenny was just awkward. Best Dynamite in a while IMO."
[9.0] "For being there live, I almost want to give it a 10 but I accept there were some down bits (mainly the women's match unfortunately). 4th Dynamite in Kansas City (Independence) and the best one yet. Can't wait until they're back and Omega tops this one. Are we his adopted city or something, because it's hit last single's match and every time he's here he puts on hell of a show."
[8.0] "Good episode of Dynamite this week. Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy & Sting vs Kip Sabian & The Butcher And The Blade: Interesting opening match, all 6 looked good and Sting getting the win was cool (***3/4).The Gunn's vs Top Flight: A decent match with some great athletic moments from Top Flight dunno why The Kingdom got involved when they're feuding with Top Flight on ROH not AEW (**3/4). Hook vs Stokely Hathaway: Essentially a squash match with a few weapons (DUD). Jon Moxley vs Stu Grayson: A great back and forth match, Grayson really shone against a former world champion, BCC heel turn hit a new level (***3/4). Skye Blue vs Toni Storm: A decent match, Skye Blue continues to improve and impress especially against a former aew womens champion, but the outcome was obvious (**1/4). Kenny Omega vs El Hijo del Vikingo: Lived up to the billing of Dream Match, what they were able to do in just nearly 17 minutes was impressive, Vikingo really impressed with his speed and agility (*****)"
[8.0] "First of all, it's a national tragedy that I'm unable to award the Hook/Stokely match the 7 stars it deserves. Entire angle was comedy gold, and Stoke is a treasure. An entertaining episode with an excellent Elite through thread and a banging main event. Opener was fine, Sting is a treasure, but Orange is over-exposed at this point to me. He needs a break and come back fresh. Mox match was standard, acceptable Mox match, but with the added interest of him being heel now. happy to see Stu back looking revitalized. I never cared for him before because he had no evident character, looking like that may change. Ladies are staying on course. Backstage segments are what pulled this all together and make this ep fantastic. Except QTV. That was painful."
[9.0] "I REALLY like the direction the BCC is taking, they're running roughshod to the point that they're butting into other storylines and muddying up the business of both Dark Order and The Elite. HOOK vs Stoke was peak fun, and the latest Sting trios match wasn't far behind, plus the main event was a really fun way to show off what Vikingo can do in the States. Easy episode of TV to get through, AEW TV seems to be at its best when a PPV isn't looming."
[8.0] "In many respects it's a one-match show, which isn't too bad, considering what we got at the end. It started strong with a fun opener were every wrestler seem to be having a good time, specially Sting. Nothing remarkable, but nothing awful either; other than that, the only thing worth checking out (for wrestling purposes only) is the hellish main even which teared down the house. On the other hand, the promo and storytelling in display throughout the show was very good: FTR was solid as always, the Adam Cole and Garcia exchange made me interested in a match that I yawned at first glance (specially the Garcia's slip, making clear that his departure from JAS is inevitable), it's always nice to see the women's division having TV time, despite the champion being absent; and finally, the Elite/BCC feud, alongside the potential breakup of Kenny and The Bucks it's promising, ending on a high note with a viperine Don Callis. If you ignore the mediocre to fine matches until the main event, it wasn't a bad show. More of a 7.5 than an 8.0 tho."
[8.0] "A great show to warm up DoN, although there are things that are obviously irrelevant I think it's a program that you can enjoy at your leisure."
[6.0] "Opening match was fun and a decent enough opener, though I wish there was more build for Darby Allin as a world title challenger involved. The Tag title match certainly happened, but it was clearly just a box ticking exercise to give the Gunns some more wins as champs before dropping the belts to FTR. Hook and Stokely was a comedy match, which would be better if we didnt already have Orange Cassidy just 30 mins before, but it was short and fun enough to get a pass. QTV once again sucked, but again was short at least. Mox vs Grayson got off to a rough start, but picked up alot in the last couple minutes. I'm glad we're going to be done with the genre of adam cole comes out and cuts a promo to get a fan reaction since he's finally getting back in the ring next week. Toni Storm vs Skye Blue was mostly slow until the last sequence of action, I do wish we got more womens matches or at least more consequential matches. The Main Event was a good showcase for Vikingo, but maybe not a dream match like advertised, at least imo. The main story told throughout the show was the further advancing of the heel turn for BCC who now go around and attack various other members of stables. My main complaint for this show is the lack of storyline advancements, the only story furthered really was FTR/Gunns and BCC vs the Trios division."
[8.0] "I can not begin to tell you how happy it makes me when a babyface steals an ambulance to get back to the arena in my pro wrestling. I skipped the womens match because I am not insane but the rest of the show was good tv wrestling topped by an all timer of a main event. When did Garcia become a good promo?"
[9.0] "This is a very hard show to rate. One of the best TV matches I've seen in 30 years of viewing is on this 2 hour show. However I didn't really enjoy the 1st hour. The episode long story with BCC & The Elite put this up to a 9 when combined with a MOTYC & a bad 1st hour."
"That show did not disappoint, and I'm glad the larger U.S. audience who weren't familiar got that introduction to Vikingo. What a special talent. I've been a fan of wrestling for ~30 years and have attended my fair share of events, and seeing Vikingo at an indie show was a standout moment. What a match tonight. Not totally on board with QTV but if I'm complaining about a ~2 minute long taped segment and not much else, the show did its job."
[9.0] "Great Dynamite this week. A surefire MOTYC plus some really good and fun matches. Stokely is so good in his role. My negatives would be that the Gunns are out of their depth as champions and the Outcasts story reeks of uncreativity. They do the same thing every single week: Bad to passable match, a very bad beatdown and then someone comes down to make the save. Do something else!"
[8.0] "Mostly a one match show, but that match was a MOTYC on free weekly TV. As someone below said, I miss when the Elite were woven into the stories of AEW and I think the company is better with them around. I could not be happier that they are telling the Hangman story again. Plus heel BCC to oppose them is great too. Main event was a 10/10 and was absolutely worth bringing Vikingo in. If fans were not aware they definitely are now. Cannot wait for FTR to whoop the Ass Boys!"
[10.0] "Best Dynamite of the year so far. Storyline advancements, matches at every level, and a MOTY contender. Shout out to Skype Blue for continuing to improve."
[8.0] "The most interesting parts of Dynamite revolves around the BCC and the Elite/Hangman. Everything else is a little weak. Tired of OC, The Gunns are not impressive (although Top Flight is, and good to see FTR), Hook vs Stokely was actually pretty fun so no criticism there actually.. The womens outsiders storyline is going nowhere. But damn. The high of Omega v Vikings and the story playing out is so high it ALMOST makes you forget about the overplayed/underdeveloped stuff."
