The Acclaimed bestreiten dann ein nettes Squash Match. |

13 | 23.11.2023 | Michael Morbius | 9.0 | Great show: the opener was great, this feud between Moxley and Hangman has been awesome so far. The ending of the match was perfect because now they can end this feud in a Texas Death Match and I'm very excited to see that one. Danielson vs. Thatcher was solid but a bit underwhelming. Takeshita vs. Cage was very good but I wish they were given more time to showcase their talen but I was happy to see Takeshita get his first big win on TV. Jade Cargill vs. Red Velvet was the best in Jade's carrer so far. Allin vs. Joe was fantastic main event with lots of incredible spots and a surprising title change.I think Joe winning the TNT title once again is the right choice as his frist regin was great despite the short lenght. I am also very happy for Wardlow's return in the post-match that sets Joe vs. Wardlow for the future. |

37 | 16.02.2023 | Prince Osborne | 9.0 | One of the intense enmities opened the show as Hangman & Moxley fought a blazer of a match despite lacking some fire from their predecessor. But the ending stand-off signals a definite conclusion for Revolution which I'm excited for. The Acclaimed's squash led straight to the point of The Gunns' challenge for the tag titles & I appreciate the Gunn brothers gaining friction from the fans in a nice callout to Billy. Takeshita & Cage had a fun sprint which has been missed in the latter as of late. This kind of breakneck action fits better for Cage than his technical attempts. Thatcher's reintroduction to American soil was pretty strong as he tussled Danielson in an exceptional scientific battle. The MJF/Takeshita interruption was apt leading to an enticing match set b/w them for the upcoming week. Cargill added another rock-solid defense against Velvet, one of the major storied combatants of the record-setting reign. I rooted for a change to happen, but the noteworthy win has happened & the wait is extended for another viable threat. The main event was a massacre which suits both beasts of hardcore essence with a change that is much welcoming. The breakneck pace blended so well with the brutality of the bout and both men looked super strong despite a loss for the former champ. Wardlow's return was not expected at this stage but needed so bad to finish the elevated story to a great blow-off. AEW returned to its roots of magnificence through amazing flow of action & progression of major arcs that act as catalysts to the marquee storylines for Revolution. I'm more hyped than before just because of this edition's showcase and if it's maintained throughout the build, most of the fans could join the hype legitimately. |

49 | 09.02.2023 | dingbatwhirr | 9.0 | What a fantastic episode of TV. Bookended by two brilliant matches, with some other very solid matches in between. Even the solitary squash was good fun and served to set up a title match for next week. The talking segments were solid too. My one criticism is that I'd like a bit more storyline progression from week to week. Everything still feels a little static a lot of the time. Still, this was an easy watch and a great show. Highly recommended. |

53 | 08.02.2023 | Damian | 5.0 | Another show where it's obvious AEW has no clue what their goal is with their storylines. Faces having blood feuds with other faces, random title wins and losses that really doesn't matter, lazy storytelling with Bryan being like the fifth guy feuding with MJF that has the exact same feud (beat people at random in order to get the match with Max). It's just a sandwich card filled with inconsequential matches you could predict the winner a mile away between an interesting opener (that I ended up hating) and main event (that we see here for the third time). The only good story is The Acclaimed and The Gunns, very good promo segment to further the feud and obvious high point of the show. Thankfully, Darby Allin is an absolute moron that lost 5 years of his after-40 mobility in order to have a great match with Joe. Basically watch the main event and The Acclaimed short segment and bounce. |

60 | 06.02.2023 | greaterdale | 10.0 | This was the best Dynamite I've seen in such a long time, and I think it's great most weeks so that's an insanely big compliment. Bryan Danielson vs Timothy Thatcher was my match of the night because both of them put on a technical clinic and I love that style of match. The main event was brutally violent especially for something that aired on TBS! I do wish there was more women's matches but AEW seems to be doing more with their women than WWE has been doing lately and I did enjoy the TBS Title match so I can only complain so much. It would be nice to see 2 women's matches at least a show though. I also enjoyed the MJW and Rush segment. I thought it was well done, and was my favorite non wrestling part of the show. Really if you love wrestling and watch TV wrestling at all, this is a must see 2 hours of AEW. |

78 | 04.02.2023 | arrancar | 7.0 | Best Dynamite in quite a while. Moxley vs Page was really good, with lots of intense strikes and convincing selling. Their big spots were all good, though none were especially great. A bit overkill at the end but still with really good technique, and Moxley's cradle pin out of nowhere for the win was really cool. ***1/2. Toni and Saraya jumping Britt felt insignificant because of how quickly it was brushed over. The Gunns confronting The Acclaimed was meh. It's still unclear why Billy is suddenly against The Acclaimed ripping on his sons despite being fine with it (and with them ripping on everyone else) for so long. If Billy isn't turning on The Acclaimed here then he's acting really stupid. Why haven't The Acclaimed called him out either? Takeshita vs Cage was pretty good. I liked the contrast of Takeshita's flashy athleticism against Cage's more powerhouse style. Both guys gave the exact performances expected of them, so it was a bit uncreative as a result but they had good enough chemistry to keep it all exciting. They were a bit overkill at the end with all their big bombs and near falls, and all their thigh slaps were really annoying, but their energetic output remained fun. ***1/4 - ***1/2. The JAS promo was fine, but them announcing yet ANOTHER gauntlet/trial series (when Danielson's already going through one atm) was pretty lame. The Elite's backstage promo that followed was pretty uneventful and uninteresting. Danielson vs Thatcher was quite good. The issues were that it was a predictable result like Danielson's other trial matches, plus it was a bit too slow to actively excite the crowd, but I still enjoyed how technical, methodical, and aggressive both guys were/ Thatchter's smarmy heel arrogance was good, as was Daneislon's sympathetic and fiery selling. Takeshita saving Danielson from MJF was a cool little mid-match angle, too. ***1/4. MJF and Rush's backstage segment was simple but really good and even quite funny. Jade vs Velvet was fine. They definitely didn't have the best chemistry early on, given they were constantly getting awkwardly caught up in each other, but they were fine individually, since Jade still has true star charisma and her strength/power displays remained good, and Velvet's slickness and agility were okay, plus she sold Jade's bigger moves really well. **1/2. Britt and Ruby's backstage segment was okay, seemingly (read: quite obviously) setting up a self-fulfilling prophecy story of Britt pushing Ruby towards Saraya and Toni's 'pro-WWE' side. Darby vs Joe was very good -- their best match thus far. Joe played a great stoic destroyer while Darby was very sympathetic with his fiery selling and insane bumps, allowing their styles to mesh together very well. They had some pretty cool and creative spots as well, and I liked the story of Darby's recklessness and lack of focus ultimately playing against him and costing him the match (i.e. he would've won without messing around exposing the boards). ***3/4 |
79 | 04.02.2023 | MikeTheDudeV2 | 6.0 | A terrific opener and closer that was let down a decent bit by the middle of the show, I'd say. Honestly was a bit disappointed in the Thatcher/Danielson match and I wasn't really expecting much from the Jade/Velvet match. Really glad Takeshita got to pick up a victory, even if its against nothing more than a big man jobber. |

91 | 03.02.2023 | MaveDeltzer | 7.0 | A strong start and a strong finish. Some other good stuff in between with some other stuff which I wish was a little better and think could have been. MJF's condescending remarks to Takeshita rubbed a lot of people the wrong way but you can't tell me he didn't help rally the people behind Takeshita. That's the point of a heel, not to be cool and likeable. We know the bad guy isn't going to get beaten up for real so the next best thing is to make us root for the good guy (even outside of kayfabe as a real person with a real career) because we feel he has been unjustly victimised or publicly humiliated and has something to gain from a win or a good showing. Prince Nana has been made a victim of the ROH crossover era when there were too many new people and not enough time to get over. I feel he could benefit from a little more mic time or screen presence. Very entertaining main event and a nice example of a short and sweet feud in AEW. |

95 | 03.02.2023 | Robert Taylor | 9.0 | Starke Dynamite. |

98 | 03.02.2023 | SKeL | 9.0 | AEW dynamite was by far the best wrestling show in January (which may even be their best run of show ever) and it looks like they're continuing the trend in february ! ---------- The show started and ended with amazing PPV caliber matches, the Takeshita and Danielson matches were really good TV matches as well, we got some interesting storyline development troughout the show and we got some good matches announced for Rampage and for next week.... Even the women's stuff was good the Jade vs former baddies thing is finally over thanks god I hope Statlander is back soon, and the homegrown vs ex WWE feud really is a breath of fresh air on the women's division -------- Overall a really great TV show by AEW with a nice VARIETY OF WRESTLING STYLES as usual which is very important in my opinion, when you watch AEW you don't feel like you are watching the same match 5 times but with different wrestlers which makes the show more easy to watch |
99 | 03.02.2023 | CeroMiedo313 | 10.0 | Slight bias since i was there live but i think this is about as good of a dynamite as youre ever gonna say. Opener was a fight that felt heated between two of the top guys. wish the crowd was more 50/50 but since its mox country i understand. ending leaves it open for a possible feud ender at revolution which i would like to see. anyways great opener (****1/4) i dont like the acclaimed gunns feud i think its dumb but at least its ending next week instead of wasting a spot on the ppv. isiah kassidy got a pop out of me. hes good. Takeshita Cage was good, even if cage never progressed past big moves guy and just doesnt know how to sell whatsoever. crowd really likes konosuke its nice to see. i believe this is one of his first wins on tv, and hes got a match with mjf next week they clearly think highly of him. moves were impressive both guys are insane athletes, takeshita just has an insane future in this business. (***1/2) Bryan Thatcher was high level technical wrestling, but as a result from that style, crowd was dead. bound to happen, and this was my first ever bryan match live. Worked from beneath real well. mjf run out was a little weird but hey bryan moves on to his final battle with Rush. good match (***1/2) I liked Jade Velvet, the stairs spot was cool and Jade finding new ways to shift into her finisher is cool. at the very least its good to see her matches morph into something of substance, rather than the start of her reign which was just lots of poses and squashing. nothing revolutionary but solid. (***) Joe Darby is one of the greatest matches ive seen live. aside from the brief part in the crowd which i couldnt see, it was just pure chaos, joe being the grizzled vet, darby playing the fearless underdog part perfectly. Joe has found his groove again. the slam into the chairs, the sidestep letting darby crash and burn, and then the MUSCLE BUSTER FROM THE MIDDLE ROPE ONTO THE WOOD. Absolutely incredible, and a fitting ending to this epic trilogy (****3/4) Wardlow coming back was a good way to end the show. I dont think he should beat Joe rn, since this is likely gonna be his last major run as a champ, but aew lacks hoss babyfaces, so its good to see wardlow fill that role. very few complaints about this show. crowd wasnt too hot but it was a smaller crowd in dayton ohio, i wasnt expecting deafening pops. one of the few dynamites where every match was at least good. Tremendous stuff |
