[7.0] "In this episode of Raw Is War there's literally only 1 good match and that's the street fight between Hart and Austin, which it felt more like an angle. Everything that included Austin and The Hart Foundation was amazing with the best moment probably being when they were putting Bret in the ambulance and Austin came from the front and attacked him. All the other matches were below average but it was interesting what happened post match of the main event. Mankind came out with a blow torch which was very unexpected. The end was also entertaining where Austin cut a promo but Owen and Bulldog attacked him. HBK came out running and saved Austin only for Pillman to attack Austin too. Nice to see Pillman back in action. The angles of this episode were amazing and it definitely took the feud of The Hart Foundation and Austin to another level."

[9.0] "This isn't one of the best Raw episodes when it comes to the match quality. What makes this a great show to watch is everything around the Austin/Hart Foundation rivalry! It's an episode long storyline where Austin is to face Bret Hart in a street fight and the first half of the show is him like a mad man going after Bret. Then the match sort of happened but not really. It ended up in an angle where Owen and Bulldog are chased off by HBK, who ends up being an unlikely ally to Austin all night. Austin becomes unhinged and the match ends up getting stopped for an injury angle where Austin targets all of Bret's limbs. He later attacks him in an ambulance and the last segment sees Austin attacked by a returning Brian Pillman! This episode is chaotic to watch where you a really seeing the boundaries being pushed. You just can't turn away from it! There's an interesting Undertaker v HHH match outside of that thats worth a watch too, with Mankind cutting a sympathetic promo before the match because of what happened to 'Uncle Paul' and then the sight of him interrupting the match walking to the ring with a blow torch is legit terrifying! The only major problem with this show is that the matches outside of the two mentioned are very bad and McMahon's really stupid line where he said Ahmed Johnson did more to galvanise South Africa than Nelson Mandela!"

"Great show, lots of great segments with Austin and the Hart Foundation. Taker vs Hunter was pretty good after Hunter spent about a year on the midcard. The lead-up to the Attitude Era's full bloom is so fun to watch."

[8.0] "Interesting episode with minimum of matches but maximum of cool segments between Hart and Austin. They are really entertaining. All undercard matches are at least okay and Taker vs Triple H is very good. It also had an important moment when Brian Pillman joined The Foundation by attacking Steve Austin."

[8.0] "En entire episode focused on Bret Hart vs Steve Austin. The Street Fight match was just a part of their brawling for the night, even in an ambulance. The Road Dogg vs Billy Gunn match with their silly gimmicks gives the show an incomplete sensation in the transition to Attitude's Era. There is also Undertaker vs HHH, there will be many others to follow in the next years."

[9.0] "The street fight between Bret and Austin was really well done with the assault continuing in the ambulance later on. Really good stuff. Theme song changed from Marilyn Manson's "Beautiful People" to the much more fitting recognizable with the early Attitude era a few episodes back. It's really been fascinating watching the transition into the Attitude era. Interesting segment where Ken Shamrock sends out a challenge to Mike Tyson to fight him. Tiger Ali Singh made his Raw in-ring debut against Salvatore Sincere. Singh had tons of hype when he signed earlier in the year, even getting Bret Hart's Canadian endorsement but for some reason he gets beat on for most of the match before getting a flurry of offense to end a really dull match that sucked the wind right out of the audience following Austin/Bret. This match kind of served as background fodder for Bret Hart getting helped backstage before Austin continues his assault. Rockabilly debuts just a 2 weeks after laying out Honky Tonk Man and I am confused as to how that meant Billy was accepting his proposal but King tries to explain it by saying "it re-enforced Honky Tonk's decision that he was the right guy"... Ok. ? Anyways Rockabilly has a TERRIBLE theme song (reoccurring trend in Billy Gunn's career sans Ass-Man) and someone struggling as hard as he to get over, Jesse James."
