[7.0] "The show started off with a grudge match between Grimes & Gacy and it was pretty good to see a competent bout. Schism's presentation has changed to a very good level and Ava Raine has been pretty good as the newbie of the union. Hayes had a fun sound-off on Lee vying for the North American gold still while Lopez returned to action in a decent bout against the upstart in Ruca. Chase's story with Hudson improved through a squash against Dempsey with a different finish. Lorenzo showed out his skill in an easy task this time while Bron & Wagner had a decent story build ahead of their title clash next week in Waller's show. Axiom & McDonagh stole the show in a superb battle developing a new layer on their characters where the finish played a vital role on the motive of this match. Brutus settled the grudge with Kemp in short fashion while the main event wasn't engaging as last week. It doesn't take away the fact that both teams have a solid chemistry as teamed rivals. The turncoat by Stark was expected, but the execution was done very well strengthening the dynamics of Stark & Lyons as clear skins. This episode had improved action from last week as well as certain stories especially the mainstream title pictures. Apart from that, the other arcs haven't seen much of a progress because of the methodical approach. I hope the pacing improves well in the coming weeks with solid stories heading to the final PPV of the third brand. 6.5 out of 10 points!"

[8.0] "A delightful episode of NXT. Really good match between JD and Axiom, and the tag match for the titles. Good storytelling all around."

[5.0] "There have certainly been a lot worse episodes of NXT than this one over the last year or so not to mention this was leaps and bounds above the previous night's abysmal episode of Raw. As far as the matches go, JD vs Axiom was the obvious match of the night and JD is developing his character nicely. The opener and main event were fine but nothing to be remembered. The rest of the matches were all short but not without talking points. Lopez vs Ruca was bad and the post match brawl between Lopez and Hartwell was embarrassing. Dempsey vs Chase was more of an angle to advance Duke's storyline involvement with Chase U and I'm still hoping for a Duke vs Dempsey match, also Thea Hail is still a complete irritant to me. Stacks vs Some Bloke was not good, I don't know why Some Bloke is on TV but I do know that Stacks shouldn't need to cheat to beat him. Kemp vs Creed was weird as I'd have sworn the stipulation was that if Julius Creed beat Kemp then Brutus Creed would get 5 minutes with Kemp, not that they'd have a 5 minute time limit match, so having a ref in there and it ending in a DQ was just bizarre to me. Away from the matches, the Waller Effect' segment was abysmal, Breakker and Wagner were floundering on the mic big time and the crowd weren't into it at all, Wagner is the furthest thing away from a potential star as you're ever likely to see. There was also another terrible Toxic Attraction facetime, although this time minus Gigi, because apparently being slammed through a table 7 days ago means she's too injured to even talk, but a couple of weeks ago Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade fell off a balcony through a table and got straight back up and carried on wrestling, but I digress. Mandy Rose and Jacy Jayne did some bad acting before KLR commited a criminal offence by impersonating a police officer and laying out Jayne, the segment was complete trash. At Fallon's bar, Kiana James wanted to buy the bar as part of a housing development but Fallon was having none of it, it was goofy but I liked it. Cora Jade cut a pre-taped promo on Wendy Choo and it wasn't horrible, so her best promo to date. On the other hand Wes Lee, Indi Hartwell and Roxanne Perez were all incredibly wooden in their talking segments. Overall the show was fine, there was good, bad, ugly and everything in-between."

[8.0] "One of the most consistent NXT as of late, storyline continuations and super cool matches from start to finish. Good show!"

[6.0] "A placeholder episode before next week's big episode with the top two titles on the line. We got some stuff moved along, including the Creeds now having to face Indus Sher, and Zoey Stark turning heel on Nikkita Lyons, but there were a lot of short, meaningless matches."

[6.0] "A moderately complete NXT show, and I say that because I think there are too many empty wrestling matches, many of them last so short that they are irrelevant to the story. I like what they're doing with Bron, let's see who opts for her title. And of course seeing Axiom in the ring is a treat, hopefully he recovers soon and comes back stronger than ever. Pretty decent NXT but a lot of irrelevant or inconsequential wrestling."
