[8.0] "Bryan & Ethan started 2022's final Dynamite with a strong battle on the road to Bryan's quest of revenge. After months of being undermined, Ethan used the stage wisely & delivered a breakout showing facing one of the best to master the craft. The night for BCC wasn't over as Mox & Claudio stepped in as a duo fighting a highly athletic upstart in Top Flight who are more focused than ever after major setbacks of thriving in the scene. Despite the brutal response from the powerful faction's mainstream champion materials, the Martins were unstoppable in giving their absolute best which actually provoked the vicious side of BCC. Hook's arc has improved nicely where Perry helped him from an assault while Swerve has his first enemy pointing out in the brave & brisk Yuta. The Elite & Death Triangle went all over the arena fighting like a pack of bandits with the usage of weaponry in creative ways. The fan loving trio's expertise in the FCA atmosphere helped well to clinch the win thereby evening the score for a final round. The women, as expected, were assigned another herculean task of following up and they did their best of progressing a nice story b/w Ruby & Tay. The main event was the highlight element of the night w/focused storytelling from both sides mixed up with a great showcase of action. Joe's win made him more dominant whereas Darby is back again in order to possibly kickstart one of the interesting storylines AEW fans can expect. This episode was a bang-on conclusion to an exceptional year for AEW and the vision towards next year is already set to a rock-solid start. Most of the stories have faced its end & new arcs have its foundation laid firmly."

Only one "ok" match, no backstage promos and/or more elements to elevate other women. Hope it will get better"

The actual segments on this show were fine outside of Starks's backstage segment. Keeping people invested to see if Wardlow would actually make the main event was a good idea although I wasn't really feeling the match because id rather sees Wardlow dominating as opposed to selling(the match was still fine though), this was still, a good show though."

[7.0] "Danielson and Page was solid as expected but could've been a bit shorter imo. BCC and Top Flight was a great showing for Top Flight who hopefully finally get a chance to get the ball rolling after numerous consecutive injury setbacks. I'm not into the HOOK/Perry/Firm thing they've got going on, a lot of people that should be flying solo are slapped together for no reason but at least they're being used I suppose. FINALLY the Best of 7 has something that doesn't feel flat or lifeless since like match 2, while the result was predictable and the timing of the finish felt a bit messy, I can appreciate that it was unique. Please get TayJay off the screen, poor Ruby and Willow having to not only carry this but put them over too. Nobody, and I mean nobody, wanted to see Wardlow work an underdog injury angle in the main event, but that's exactly what we got and it felt just as weird as it sounds on paper, however the beefy parts of the match were great as you'd expect."

[6.0] "Quite a good show. Nothing exceptional, but it had mostly good matches and some fun segments/angles. Danielson vs Ethan was a bit long but still fun. Ethan's control work was nicely aggressive, and Danielson had very good physicality and technique in all his offence. Their exchanges were pretty repetitive in the middle, but they brought out some creativity and intensity in the final 1/3rd. ***1/4. Joe attacking Wardlow backstage was fine but unremarkable, while Page's backstage segment featured his usual unconvincing acting skills. Top Flight vs Moxley & Claudio was pretty good. Dante remains very impressive with his unique high-flying style, while Darius had some cool high spots of his own. Both had nice control work while impressively saving and assisting each other. Moxley and Claudio were fun veteran bruisers who eventually had to pummel their younger opponents to get the win. ***1/4 - ***1/2. Best Friends' backstage segment was mildly entertaining. Kip is still an anti-star that needs to disappear. Hook's squash match was meh. Hook's judo and boxing attacks are still fun, but I'm sick of his meaningless matches. TS;NR (too short, no rating). Perry attacking Moriarty and Bill was actually pretty cool, and Hook teasing suplexing Bill was undeniably hype just because it looked like he might actually he able to pull it off. Jericho's backstage promo calling out Starks was good, though I don't have high hopes for his coming performances. Swerve's backstage promo with the 'Mogul Affiliates' was good with his signature laidback and boastful delivery. Charisma-less Yuta's interruption wasn't very interesting, though. The Elite vs Death Triangle was pretty good, and definitely better than their last few matches. The stipulation allowed for more creativity than usual, and even their standard in-ring spots and sequences felt a bit more creative and energetic than usual. Many moments were still pretty contrived, but the spectacular athleticism remained pretty fun. ***1/4 - ***1/2. The Acclaimed's music video 'diss' on Jarrett was really funny and had some great lines. Ruby & Willow vs Anna & Tay was a bit too sloppy, but their were some moments of okay energy that stopped it being outright bad. I'm unsure why they went 50/50 and traded near falls for so long, though. **1/4. Starks' backstage promo attacking Jericho was really strong and engaging as expected. Joe vs Wardlow was quite a good bruiser-vs-powerhouse match with nice psychology. All their strikes and power moves were good. Joe's leg-targeting was also really good, as was Wardlow's selling. This made the match enjoyably more story-focussed, with Wardlow's athletic comeback being very impressive (especially as he still sold the leg). Joe's beatdown offence remained really good, and Wardlow didn't look weak in defeat, given Joe's intelligent leg-targeting. ***1/4. Joe's post-match attack and Darby's save were both pretty cool. I'm definitely excited for another Darby-vs-Joe match."

[9.0] "A great wrestling show, with solid matches, and good interviews. The highlights for me were the falls count anywhere match, Anna Jay AS in the ring, the promo by Ricky Starks and Swerve Strickland. Also, Hook's interaction with Morrisey. Claudio's intensity was a sight to see too. Wardlow's spirit, and ability to get the crowd on his side even though Samoa Joe is so popular, was very impressive. I am a Wardlow mark, and worry about Joe's popularity making Wardlow the heel, but this is a master class by Samoa Joe in being a professional wrestler."

[9.0] "The 2 stand out matches were BCC vs. Top Flight & The Elite vs. Death Triangle. The Stand out promo segment was The Acclaimed's Diss Track on Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal (They called Jeff Jarrett carny, as I have, he is a joke, he should not be on television, he kills ratings. That is all true. Jay Lethal is ROH's Top Star of the bad years, LOL, your greatest acclaim to fame is imitating other dudes, but you're a 20 year veteran, and no one is imitating you, LOL. This is all true). Ethan Page is pretty attention span killing for me, but Bryan Danielson is such a master, that he made that match good. The Women's tag team match was hella boring, so I skipped to the end after a while. I don't see any talent there (Willow Nightingale doesn't have any other interesting opponents except for Jamie Hayter). Joe & Wardlow was pretty good. Wardlow should not win the TNT Title back, because I thought his title reign was a flop. So don't revisit that. Joe's title reign feels like a hit, however."

[6.0] "frustrating! again! but possibly just for me. to wander the card up and down, bryan again carries someone far beneath him to something great in the opener. real mean spirited performance in the best match of the show. ethan page doesn't get it. a "movesz" guy in a power guy's body who can't hold a crowd or sell interestingly or structure his work to make anything he does feel impactful. this worked a little bit better because he isn't too bad at big vs little matchups, but he still did a whole bunch of annoying things (aimless heat segments, awkward inside-outside cutters, etc.). whatever. enough about that. BCC/Top Flight was a lot of fun. claudio looked the most mean hes been in a long time and for an actual reason this time. Hook squash was again killer with the best angle in a long time right after. Big Bill/HOOK is something i didn't know i needed. that'll rule. another uninspired Elite/Death Triangle match that started with something absolutely none of them are good at, the walk and brawl. this is like the 2nd time theyve tried to change things up in this exact way with a walk and brawl and they just aren't good at it. they tried filling it with some dives off of some bleachers or something, but it never actually felt dangerous or manic enough just because of how clunky they both were and even though nick's was a bit better, him doing a perfect tope con hilo and coming down on the floor injured ankle first without even feigning selling it was incredibly frustrating. guess he's better? anyways, devolved into more of their highspot stuff which all of these matches turn into. bafflingly, never felt truly manic the way they wanted to. cannot wait for that to end. thought there was some solid stuff in the women's tag specifically from ruby soho, one of the better talents in the company. there was also a whole lot of bad stuff from tay melo, who pinned ruby soho. nice one, guys. joe/wardlow main event had a good angle, but i didn't really love it. feels like there was a big energy dump somewhere on the card (last 2 matches cough cough) that hit this like a truck. poor people on rampage. wardlow is great, probably shouldn't be hitting big springboard crossbodies on a hurt leg though. he does a couple questionable things, but sells the leg after. not something i love, but isn't all that atrocious. Joe's resurgence run has been stellar and he looked great again here. Dying to see him wrestle Darby again. another good first hour, bad second hour deal. A 6 is generous. hope they take it in a smarter direction next week."

The stretch from the opener to the Falls Count Anywhere match is excellent TV, you won't find anything of that caliber any other place. The women's tag was solid with a lousy finish. Anna Jay has not improved since she debuted on AEW and looked like a deer in headlights. The finsih was done with bad timing and sloppy execution. The main event was good with the injury angle not bothering me that much. Joe winning is the right decision, he hasn't looked this good and dominant since that short stretch in 2017's WWE and Wardlow needs to be re-heated. Awesome crowd for like the fourth week in a row. 9.5/10."
