[8.0] "A really good episode. The card delivered, especially the main-event while the segments were cool as well, maybe not the Strickland and Lee one, that was just odd, you know."

[7.0] "Great opening promo by Starks until JAS interrupted, Jericho throwing a fireball in Andretti's face later on was also meh. Best of 7 is the same as it's been, odd that the first "serious" match of the series after adding No DQs was basically a comedy match, but it was okay. Gunns winning was a welcome surprise that makes sense with FTR working "injured" from the dog collar match. What a dreadful segment with Swerve, Lee, and company, I wish they would've explained who the hell the 2nd attacker that wasn't Parker Boudreaux was, also a cinderblock attack? Fortunately the main event washed the bad taste out of my mouth with one of AEW's best TV matches of the year (and one of their best women's matches ever). Everything else was either fine or not really noteworthy, but overall a solid episode."

[7.0] "If the main event was very good with a very determined Jamie Hayter and a credible Hikaru Shida (8/10), the rest of the show was sometimes disappointing. The 5th match between The Elite and Death Triangle brought the necessary variety in this long rivalry (8/10). On the other hand, Mox vs D. Martin was quite poor in terms of action and storyline (6/10). The Gunn brothers' push was not interesting but the FTR case in AEW is starting to worry (5/10). The R. Ross/Swerve/K.Lee segment was embarrassing. And overall, the promos aren't catastrophic but they would benefit from stopping mentioning male attributes to evoke supposed superiority, it's tiresome and sexist. 7/10 3* 1/4"

[7.0] "Pretty good episode. Great promo from Ricky and the beginnings of what looks like a push for Action Andretti, which I'm thankful for as this MCW graduate becoming a star is now a matter of pride for me as a Marylander. Elite/Death Triangle match was not at all what I expected but was a fun time. Hook gets a squash match for no discernable reason. Mox and Darius Martin have a fine enough match, not really a banger for either but does what it needs do. The Gunns taking on FTr is similarly fine, the Gunns winning is at least a surprise but on the back of the incredible match against the Briscoes that preceded it in this storyline this is a pretty nothing followup. Swerve debuts a new faction in a segment that is terrible but in a deeply hilarious and memorable way - I don't really mind. The pairing of him, Rick Ross, Parker Boudreau, and what appears to be mid-2010s one hit wonder white rapper Stitches is... interesting. We'll see where it goes. It all ends with a main event between Jamie Hayter and Hikaru Shida that I had to be dragged kicking and screaming into thinking was really good. I'm not really into most of the upper carders in AEW's women's division but this is the kind of match that makes me question my lack of belief, because it was a scorcher. Great end to a show that was kinda wonky in terms of substance, particularly for a special episode, but overall was a fairly enjoyable holiday romp."

[8.0] "Interestingly, AEW started promoting new young stars at the end of the year, I hope for many 23 will be a breakthrough and we will get new stories and dramas. This episode characterizes success, there were great promos, for example from JAS and Ricky. There were also debuts, in this case of a whole new group headed by Swerve. There were also good videos, with congratulations to Joe and Hobbs' life difficulties. There was also hope, in the face of the women's match, which shows that the once weak division can flare up. This is a first-class Christmas episode and the year really ends perfectly giving us various emotions. Wow!"

[8.0] "A really good show. Banger opening exchange between JAS and Ricky and Andretti too. I feel like I'm the only one in the IWC who isn't immediately shitting all over the idea of Ricky Starks vs Jericho. Y'all weird lol. What do you have against the old Talent putting over young Talent? Trios was great with a lot of fun hardcore spots. Great Bryan promo and looking forward to Ethan v Bryan. Mox v Darius was fun, ok FTR v Gunn's match. Swerve faction might be a head scratcher but the segment where they're created was great. That cement stomp was awesome. And the women killed it in the main event put it on one of the best matches of the year. Shida and Hayter deserve all their flowers."

[8.0] "Starks being the next victim of Jericho is a bummer, but I did enjoy the segment he had with Jericho overall. I liked the trios match more than last week, but these guys trying to have a different match is hilarious because it ends up just being the same match every time. The promo work on this show was strong from Danielson, MJF Mox, and Stokley. That Lee/Swerve segment was terrible but Rick Ross was hilarious during it. Mox, FTR had fine matches to me, but I loved the main event Hayter title reign is off to a great start. Overall a good show"

[8.0] "First match was very good, the main event was great, there was many good promos on this show especially the Ricky Starks one (what a surprise), the 2 other matches were not that good but both matches served some storyline purpose so it's more than fine for me, and they were not bad matches at all just some nothing happening tv match"
Sagasta 87 wrote on 22.12.2022:
"This show felt pretty weak, Ricky's promo was great and I'm really interested to see what he does with the JAS, the opener was good, but for me a bit confusing, Danielson's promo is very good but Page's participation made me It seems out of place although justifiable in the story, the Hook match is unnecessary and does not add anything new, the Moxley and Darius match is correct but does not add up, the FTR vs Gunns understandable for the story but it felt disappointing, the Keith segment and Swerve is also below expectations, especially due to the participation of the host, which I think spoils everything, and the main event is impeccable and highly recommended."

[8.0] "Really good episode with the typical AEW Dynamite formula that 2 matches always stand out, along with at least one promo segment that stands out (Ricky Starks/JAS). I completely skipped the Rick Ross segment, because I cannot stand outside celebrities in pro wrestling. It never puts a smile on my face, but it does embarrass me and make me cringe."

[8.0] "Pretty good Dynamite. I think after FTR lost, it took out my sails a bit. But the main event between Hayter and Shida brought me back. I really enjoyed Penta with the Christmas Tree, the Books of Hobbs video, and Ricky Starks making fun of Chris Jericho."

[5.0] "Very promo heavy episode. Two halfway good matches pulled the nose up at the end but there are better episodes of Dynamite. The bizarre Rick Ross segment was positively psychedelic and felt very much like we've wandered deep into WCW 2000 territory. It was either so bad it's good or just a welcome change from what's normally on AEW tv that it felt refreshing. I can't wait for more Rick Ross honestly. FTR match is ok and the women's match was good but about twice as long as it needed to be with the first 8 or 9 minutes being quite boring."

HC7 wrote on 22.12.2022:
[6.0] "Weakest of the recent AEW shows in my opinion. Main event was pretty good, opener was good although not their best trios match. The Hook squash match was fine and so was the FTR-Gunns match. Moxley and Darius wasn? t really needed. Rick Ross segment wasn? t that good. Opening segment was good although I fear that fireballing Action Andretti and having him out for some weeks will now severely cool down his momentum and fan reception. Show was okay but nothing spectacular."

[8.0] "a very enjoyable dynamite overall, most of the stuff was good to great, Ricky starks, MJF and Danielson are a joy on the mic, the no dq 6 man was stupidly fun, the main event was fire, the moxley match was decent, the FTR one was naf, the Keith swerve angle didn't click, Hook continues to be over, it a fun little show"
kakkakikkare wrote on 22.12.2022:

[6.0] "A rollercoaster of the good mixed with the abysmal. Started on fire with Ricky and Jericho - that air fryer line had me rolling, and Ricky looks like a million bucks. Jericho is so good at putting people over when he's a heel. Happy to see some follow through with Action. The trios match was entertaining, if not exactly what I'd expected. MJF promo was great... And then the wobbles start. The Danielson segment went on too long, and the crowd starts acting out at this point once Ethan Page and Stoke try talking. (You raggedy bitch lol) Hook wins a squash and then looked like he gave zero shits about the Jack Perry backstage beatdown. And then before he's down the ramp Moxley's music is already hitting. I just can't care about another LOLMoxwins match. Slight upturn with the Hobbs video and the Gunns/FTR. And then... the Swerve/Lee segment is maybe the second worst segment I've seen on AEW. It was so egregious that it almost veered into being good. Crowd was surly as fuck, which really hurt anything Swerve was trying to say. Rick Ross was dropping f-bombs and just talking over everybody like a meme machine. And who the hell were the dudes who came out to beat up Lee? I know one of them from Dark but wtf? Ep ending strong with the ladies match."

[8.0] "Would be a 10/10 Dynamite if something was done more with the HOOK and Moxley matches and if the Swerve/Keith segment had been better. Not a fan of opening promos but the promos tonight were still great. And the first and last matches might be among my favorite trios and women? s matches of this year. Again, if certain stuff in the second hour hit better this might be my favorite Dynamite this year but like in the past, Dynamite has an eventful and awesome first hour and whether it? s timing or pacing or production issues, suffers at points in the second half. Doesn? t stop it from being a great show but does prevent episodes like this from feeling damn near perfect."
