[3.0] "This PPV is honestly just okay, which is the unfortunate standard for recent events from the NWA. Since their return to the pandemic, the NWA PPVs havent been nothing spectaculars, but their main events would usually saves the show and make them generally pretty good. NWA 73 was okay, but the main event between Aldis and Murdoch tied the bow to a neat storyline and was all around a really good match. The 2022 edition of Crockett Cup was also pretty good, but what made it really great was the double main events of Aldis/Cardona and The Briscoes/The Commonwealth Connection (Doug Williams and Harry Smith). And all of this is without mentioning the great showings of Kamille and Homicide in each of the PPVs. This third edition of Hard Times isnt so different and continue the streak of mildly okay events. As such, nothing really stands out as being particularly bad aside from the Question Mark vs the Question Mark, which was terrible, but also really fun and for the life of me, I cannot hate on Aaron Stevens. Im not a fan of bringing back the Question Mark gimmick (I dont feel you can really replace Jocephus really fun work as the original one), but everyone involved seemed to have enjoyed themselves so whatever. Homicide usually has the best matches in each NWA PPV and this one against the talented Kerry Morton isnt exception. Davey Richards/Colby Corino was short and sweet and all around a really fun match. The world tag match was also pretty good as well. The Voodoo casket match had a cool gimmick and both wrestlers did a really fine job to open the show. Pretty much everything else was just well okay, aside from two matches: EC3/Latimer and the main event. Regarding the first, well, I understand EC3s gimmick. I understand what hes trying to do, and I do sincerely appreciate his creativeness and his attempt at doing things differently. But its not working, and the finish was weird and awful. Fortunately for it, the main event quickly stole the show for being completely awful. Tyrus is just not working as anything, really. Hes awful. Cardona and Murdoch tried to make something out of it, but the match was just awful in any shape or form. The event happened months ago already, and I still cannot wrap my head around why one would unironically put one of the most prestigious title in wrestling history on the worst wrestler currently working. The main event alone dragged what was a pretty okay PPV, to what will probably be the first chapter in the fall of this promotion. Its unfortunate, but it is what it is: hard times."
