[5.0] "A better idea than execution. Almost the entire card besides the two last matches were complete filler with low-to-zero stakes. The only filler match I actually enjoyed was Okada, Yano & Muta vs. United Empire, the rest I couldn't care less about. Ospreay had another fine title defense and the main event had solid action with a lot of small-to-medium sized botches peppered in and I wasn't really invested at any moment. The english commentery was absolute dogshit as usual."
[6.0] "Fun concept! [YLs vs LA Dojo] - 3 stars. [Rumble] - 2.25 stars (Worst of the Night). [CHAOS vs HoT] - 2.75 stars. [Queen's Quest vs DDM] - 3 stars. [Syuri/Lawlor vs Giulia/ZSJ] - 3.5 stars. [Black Desire/SZKGN vs meltear/SZKGN] - 3.75 stars. [Tanahashi/Hayashishita vs Goto/Maika] - 3.5 stars. [LiJ vs UE] - 3 stars. [CHAOS/Muta vs UE] - 2.25 stars. [Ospreay vs Umino] - 4 stars (Match of the Night). [Iwatani vs KAIRI] - 3.75 stars. Average match rating: 3.16 of 5 stars (or 6.32 of 10). Rounded to 6 for Cagematch."
[9.0] "Truly historic show and clearly overdelivered on all expectations. All mixed tags were a ton of fun to watch with some incredible moments as well, and two great title matches at the end too. Mayu and KAIRI was a fantastic match with so much emotion and great storytelling. Plus Omega is coming back for the Dome."
[9.0] "Truly a great crossover event, it was very entertaining throughout, and both companies put on good showings. The intergender tag matches were a lot of fun and the main event between KAIRI and Mayu is among the best of the year. [8.5/10]"
[7.0] "The mixed tags were decent and the rest of the undercard wasn't much happening but this boiled down to the top two matches and the Omega angle and they delivered big. The main in particular was fantastic."
[8.0] "It was an interesting crossover with its own unique combinations and I'm obviously glad that the universe has connected and now NJPW is closer to its sisters. We were able to witness the first IWGP Women's champion in history, and of course there was the loudest announcement with the return of Omega, who is hunting for the US championship, and we also saw a lot of wrestling and cute sequences between men and women. This is a really nice story and a beautiful moment for Japan! My respect and like!"
[7.0] "I was expecting something like the Noah crossover show but a little better because of the big singles matches, and I think that's what this was. The top two matches, especially the main event, were good. I think the tag matches suffered a little from "We're just as tough as the men" syndrome, and that got in the way of just plain old fun. Not many of the mixed team members actually looked like they were having fun teaming together. Most actually looked somewhat bothered by the fact. I think with this kind of thing you can lean into the fun or try for a great match. The mixed tag matches didn't really pull in either direction (except maybe Meltear/Black Desire/Suzuki Gun) and really, aside from the novelty value, weren't much different from your regular undercard tag matches. Still an interesting show but it did feel long to me and I wish it had been a little more fun. More team work, maybe bigger mixed entrances, people looking like they're excited to be tagging together and that kind of thing. Maybe trimming some of those 6/8/10 man tag matches would have helped as well."
"very entertaining show that moves at a brisk pace with a knockout performance by all 4 of the final performers. the start and end of the card were by far the most entertaining with the middle dragging a lot"
[7.0] "The undercard is average to good. The 8 man / woman mixed Tag and Zack Sabre Jr mixed Tag worth it. The final two matches are good. Perhaps the best Women's match I've ever seen 4.75"
[9.0] "As one of my friends rightly noted, the only problem of the show is too many purely male tag matches that could be replaced with mixed tag teams with top Stardom wrestlers like Natsuko Tora, Hazuki and Mirai who weren't on the main card. All of the mixed matches were good, and the last two did not disappoint."
[9.0] "A lot of good, fun matches, two fantastic singles title bouts, the announcement of Ospreay vs Omega, and the history-making crowning of an inaugural champion made this a must-see show. This could be a show that people will refer back to decades from now due to its importance."
[9.0] "Such a great show to watch, over 5 hours and it was all worth it. The best thing was that there was almost no shenanigans that could be found much expect for the Oedo Tai/Suzuki-Gun/Meltear match. Just that one match. Not throughout the entire show, thus making the PPV easy to watch and not hard to watch. Job well done for that."
[10.0] "Home run in every sense of the word. This show is 5 and 1/2 hours total on NJPW World - it flies by. Compared to AEW's Full Gear which felt like a long chore to get through. The NJPW wrestlers went out of their way to shine the spotlight on Stardom and deservedly so. Oedo Tai/Suzuki Gun was my favorite match. So entertaining - a great fun show -"
[10.0] "Out of all the great joshi show this year, and the great crossover shows this year this stands among them not in terms of match quality, but most importantly, fun"
[9.0] "I think that this show delivered where it really needed to and that was in the showcase matches and the two title matches. I think that a bit more actual crossing over and intergender matches would improve this concept a lot more."
[9.0] "Insanely enjoyable show. The mixed tags were a hell of a lot of fun, with interactions like Maika vs Tanahashi and Natsupoi vs Despy really standing out. What really elevates it to a top tier show is the final two matches. Shota Umino's return match showed both how much faith New Japan has in him and how much he's grown over the past few years. Then the main event was the best match from an incredibly stacked weekend. Mayu and Kairi put on legendary performances."
[9.0] "This was a damn near perfect show that closed with one of the best matches of the year. The chemistry between Stardom and New Japan wrestlers was perfect, they all did their best to showcase themselves and their rivals. The restrictions to intergender spots were lame but they weren't as annoying as I thought they would be. All in all, the crossover matches were all fun in their own way and each company carried their weight with their side of the card. However, it was Stardom that stole the show in the end with that killer main event."
[8.0] "This was the first NJPW show I've seen in a long while and while it was really long, it was pretty good. Almost all of the non-title matches were in the 9-10 minute range, only two of them were longer than that and one of them was the rumble match. The mixed tags were fun, the NJPW only matches were fine. I haven't seen Shota wrestle in years but I really liked what I saw from him tonight. He did really well down the stretch, his moveset looks good and the stuff between him and Red Shoes stood out. The final minutes were excellent and that aftermath was spectacular. The main event topped that in my opinion, with Kairi and Mayu engaging in a phenomenal war that was a bit slow in the first half, but really picked up in the second. They blasted each other with big shots, there were some very memorable moments and the ending result surprised me. The aftermath, where Kairi got two challengers for the near future was cool. I don't know if I'll ever be an ardent NJPW follower again but whenever they do combo shows with Stardom, I'll definitely try to watch because this show delivered what I wanted from it, especially the main event and the surprise before it."
