[8.0] "The opener was another fun match where Darby & Sting busted their bodies off in a hardcore brawl with a pleasantly surprising cameo of The Great Muta fitting the atmosphere perfectly & leading the faces to victory. Action Bronson gave a really solid showing alongside Hook in a cooldown yet crowd pleasing match while Wardlow & Joe made super short work out of Nese & Woods. Jack Perry had his hallmark singles showdown against one of the best to do so in Fenix. Both men were absolutely firing cannon shots at each other presenting a blistering contest whereas the post-match assault from Christian & Luchasaurus made a good story progress. Kingston & Guevara almost settled their bad blood in a stiff, packed fight but had their tensions rise even higher with the result. Jade had another quick work with Diamante this time which could be completely forgettable due to the lack of a decent build to it. The battle royal was fun with a pretty good choice of a winner that has me very interested in the way of handling the title program. The main event was a great foundational match for both men proving that they're beyond 4-minute athletes using common weapons in uncommon ways as well as boiling out their anger in a strong brawl. This show was a grand success completing the Grand Slam week for AEW on a high note and eventually felt better than last year as well. The matches were of different tastes providing different winners hence giving an entertaining specialized edition of Rampage. 8.5 out of 10 points!"
[7.0] "Not a fan of the 2-hour Rampage, felt like a B-episode of Dynamite. Nevertheless, the card quite well delivered, especially Fenix vs. Perry as well as the Lighst Out. Some storytellings have advanced, moreover. Action Bronson had a good time too."
[6.0] "The opening match and the main event were very entertaining, but I think they was let down by most of the matches, which were fine but nothing special. It felt padded, and didn't feel worth having it be 2 hours."
[8.0] "I thought that was a great episode of Rampage. One thing that stood out to me was the number of "Star Power" that was on this episode. Most episodes of Rampage feature an AEW talent against some new wrestler or someone like that, which can sometimes be predictable. The match quality was very strong in this episode as well. Match of the night was Jungle Boy v. Rey Fenix 8/10"
[9.0] "Liked this nearly as much as Dynamite, a really strong show. The Darby tag and the main event were both awesome and I really liked the Kingston/Sammy fight, the finish didn't bother me a bit either. I was not into Fenix/Jungle Boy, which seemed overly long and not really my style but overall a very good show."
[8.0] "I thought it was a great show, but the truth is that the fights were not the highlight of the show either, but well, anyway, a good way to continue the show."
[8.0] "Solid conclusion to GRANDSLAM week. One of the finest episodes of AEW RAMPAGE I can recall in recent memory, for sure this calendar year. This RAMPAGE featured some of your favorites from the AEW roster as it felt like an important episode. This did not feel like a throw away episode by any stretch which is good. A pretty good card from top to bottom. If it wasn't for some of the hiccups I saw in a few areas, my rating would've easily got to a 9 but I'm staying firm at an 8 for this week. Tony Khan and crew are really finding their stride as of late in solid RAMPAGE matchups. Keep it up boys!"
[7.0] "Grand Slam 2022 is over and I have more pleasant feelings from this show. Of course, not without problems, but Rampage will also be remembered for its matches and events. Sting and Great Muta are back in the same ring and it seems a big match will take place between them in NOAH. Jungle Boy continues the hard way without having any advantage over Christian. Eddie Kingston has to do something with his mental behavior, otherwise he will be overplayed by everyone. Adam Page vs Moxley, but this is very interesting. Starks/Hobbs I think will meet again in some cage to find out who is really better!"
[5.0] "Sting and Darbie v House of black, Eddie v. Sammie and especially Powerhouse vs Starks were great, Everything else was kinda meh. Hook match was decent too Failry down the middle for me"
[3.0] "This event was an almost total waste of time, The only good things were the opener, Jungle Boy vs Fenix and the promo post match of Christian. The rest of the show was absolute TRASH. 8 Minutes of match....5 MINUTES OF MATCH, 2 MINUTES OF MATCH, WHY NOT JUST DELIVER A FEW MATCHES WITH GOOD TIME? Hell even the battle royal couldn't survive this shit of show because they cut it and we couldn't see the end. Page win? good for him, the main event wasn't at the level of a good main event for a good show, anyways this was bullshit. 3/10 for this show."
[6.0] "It was alright. It wasn't as great as you would expect from a Grand Slam Rampage. Kinda strange cause Wardlow and Samoa Joe squashing Tony Nese and Josh Woods was my favorite match. Cool seeing the Great Muta though."
"This definitely would have been better as regular Rampage with: Darby/Sting vs HOB, Jungleboy vs Rey Fenix, and Ricky Starks vs Powerhouse Hobbs as the entire show. We didn't need nor want a rumble match, all the other matches were ok"
[7.0] "There were some good matches (Jungle Boy vs. Rey Fenix and Ricky Starks vs. Powerhouse Hobbs) and an incredible moment for long time wrestling fans with The Great Muta showing up to save his old rival Sting, but they really shouldn't be taping pro wrestling shows well past midnight on a Wednesday night. A lot of the fans there were local, and had to leave early as they have work on Thursday morning, so the crowd thinned out throughout the taping, which wasn't fair on a lot of the guys on the show. I really wanted to love JB and Fenix, but they'd have got the reaction they deserved if it was on Dynamite, the fans were just too tired to react properly, I sure was. At the time, I wasn't sure about Eddie Kingston having his win overturned, but it played into the story with the first three matches on Dynamite, and Tony Khan ordering Paul Turner to be more strict and correct errors."
[7.0] "This was a good and fun episode of Friday Night Rampage, it hurts a bit that it was double the longer than usually, but still a nice dosis of rasslin."
[9.0] "This was a fantastic show, and it's easily up there with the best Rampages. The two hour runtime helped but so did putting on a lot of matches that the crowd was hot for. Most of the matches featured big feuds, ridiculous fun, great wrestling, or some combination of the three. The 1st hour was pretty much perfect from the surprise Great Muta appearance to the Jungle Boy/Fenix epic. Hour 2 was a little weaker with the TBS Title match and battle royal being a step down in quality and a few moments meant to leave the crowd upset rather than happy. However, the action was still good overall, and the comedown moments should serve the longer stories. The main event Lights Out match was great and showcased Hobbs and Starks in the kind of big match they should've had at All Out."
[9.0] "This was a very good show. Sting & Darby vs. House of Black was exactly what a 2022 Sting match should be. Jungle Boy and Rey Fenix tore the house down. The battle royal was fun. Other than the Jade match, everything else was above average. Overall, the best Rampage in a good while."
[9.0] "This was easily the best Rampage of the year (maybe ever). So many enjoyable matches, great angles, returns, debuts (MUTA HOLY SHIT! ) and I loved the PPV-style presentation for several of the wrestlers (such as Hook, Guevara and Starks). THE GREAT MUTA HAD A FACE-OFF WITH STING IN 2022! This show felt big-time and I actually enjoyed it more than the Dynamite Grand Slam. My favourite matches were HoB vs Darby/Sting, Jungle Boy/Fenix and Hobbs vs Starks II - but honestly everything was enjoyable and I had a great time watching this show. The Battle Royal was a lot of fun and I can't wait for the eventual Hangman vs RUSH match. I'm glad to see them continue to use Christian in some capacity while he's out injured. His heel character has been a real highlight, so I'm glad he's back on our screens. I was very disappointed with Hobbs and Starks' match at All Out - but tonight's match more than made up for it. The Starks vignette before the match was excellent and made him feel like such a big deal. Also crazy how loud they were considering this match went on at 12:30am. Hopefully both men are slated for bigger and better things."
[8.0] "the most fun i? ve had with a rampage this year. nothing bad at all, some genuinely great stuff. opener, jungle boy fenix, main event all worth going out of your way to see. crowd was understandably dull at times, but they popped for all the big moments. only real complaint is the kingston guevara ending was really dumb and the battle royal sucked lol. Sting/Darby vs HoB (****), WarJoe vs Nese/Woods (***) Jungle Boy Vs Fenix (****1/4) , Kingston vs Guevara (***) Battle Royal (**1/4) , Starks vs Hobbs (***1/2). jade diamante was a squash but jade looks smoother by the day. the action bronson match was also pretty fun too. just all around great stuff."
[8.0] "Great show full of fun matches. I came away from this thinking every match was entertaining, with the slight exception of Cargill vs Diamante, which was at least short. Other than that, a hot crowd and plenty of fun made for a great show."
[8.0] "This was a great follow up to the Dynamite Grand Slam. A LOT of matches and they ranged from good to awesome. While nothing reached the peak of Dynamite, everything was pretty consistent and fun. The two hours flew by as well. Great stuff - I hope TK continues to stack up Rampages a bit more."
"Enjoyable watch of a show. I do hope that the next TV deal is the push to make Rampage live full-time, as that's the next boost to get them to that sweet spot of 600k consistently. A show this long in New York City on a weeknight is a tough ask."
