[5.0] "Eight Man Tag Team Match: Nothing worthy to see. Sad this is the opener for this kind of event. Being so close to the end of the tournament, one will expect a better showing. But it wasn't. Inadequate totally. [*]; Royce Isaacs & Tom Lawlor VS Bad Dude Tito & JONAH: On the other hand, this was better. I know we had already saw JONAH VS Lawlor, but every time they try to bring new things, which is great. Satisfactory collide. [***]; Lance Archer, TAKA Michinoku & Zack Sabre Jr. VS BUSHI, SANADA & Tetsuya Naito: This one lacked of some more time to be good. The interactions were adequate, and let some dream matches over the table. Adequate one that could be even more. [**]; Hirooki Goto, Kazuchika Okada & Tomohiro Ishii VS Dick Togo, EVIL & SHO: Satisfactory to close the filler part. It was obvious who was going to get the pin. Even that, both teams made good interactions and bring a solid match. [***1/4]; KENTA VS Aaron Henare; Okey match, since Kenta could show all his strenght and savageess to bring down Henare. I was hoping to see a surprise here, but it didn't happened. Even that, a satsfactory match. [***1/4]; Toru Yano VS Jeff Cobb: Funny and pretty quick to enjoy. The Yano moves were special with some classics of his sheety style. Enjoyable match, satisfactory match. [***]; G1 Climax 2022 Block D Match: Ok match, thank you so much Shingo for trying to elevate the quality of this battle. Yujiro did almost nothing for it, in fact was the Ultimo Dragon who showed better skills. Just an adequate match for this reason. [**]; YOSHI-HASHI VS Will Ospreay: Ospreay just survived to the Head-Hunter, what a wonderful match. Their inteactions were brilliant, with a gigantic YOSHI-HASHI who almost stole the head of the champ. Good match, pretty enjoyable. [****1/2]; Taichi VS Jay White: Good way to end the event. Maybe their interactions at the beggining were too slow to keep me interested on it, but lastly, as usually Taichi does, the intensity was increased, with almost a win from the Suzuki-gun member. Satisfactory match, pretty satisfactory. [***3/4]; Okey overall event, the only truly remarkable match of the event was Ospreay VS the Head-Hunter, any of the other can be ignored. A little bit more than an adequate grade. [**1/2]"
[6.0] "Jay White, as a champion, is still incomparable and successful on all fronts. Will Ospreay was on the verge of defeat, but was able to defend sovereignty and the chances are returning. Toru Yano has become more liked in comedy matches, especially when he deservedly loses in them. A normal tournament day in which there are pros and cons."
[7.0] "I thought that was a good overall night of G1 action. The best match of the night for me was the Ospreay v. YOSHI-HASHI match. Worst match of the night was Yujiro v. Shingo Takagi."
[6.0] "I like Yano sometimes but he shouldn't be anymore of these tournaments, his matches are the worst. Everything else was pretty good and Yujiro had a decent match. The biggest surprise was Jay White vs Taichi having a banger."
[5.0] "Being so close to the end, it shouldn't have had a card so weak. Add to that a dead crowd, three of the five tournament matches being pretty average, and the fact that David Finlay is just not good at commentary, and you have one of the low points of the G1."
