[7.0] "Ryohei Oiwa & Yuto Nakashima VS SHO & Yujiro Takahashi: Wow, pretty nice inicial match. Both Young lions looked very good against House of Torture, whose clearly got the final pin. It is good to see YOH and Yujiro making different things than just cheating. Satisfactory match. [***1/2]; Tomohiro Ishii & Toru Yano VS Bad Dude Tito & JONAH: Another good match. Showing both the strength of the New Japan Strong guys and the cheatiest style of Yano. Ishii looked good too. As a whole, a satisfactory match. [***]; Aaron Henare, Jeff Cobb & Will Ospreay VS Jado, Tama Tonga & Hirooki Goto: Well, another satisfactory bout. Even Jado looked good in this match. For sure Ospreay will be in the finals, there is no doubt about that. United Empire made a pretty nice job here, as always. Satisfactory match. [***]; Kazuchika Okada, YOSHI-HASHI & Hiroshi Tanahashi VS Taichi, TAKA Michinoku & Zack Sabre Jr.: Another pretty nice intense match. Both teams did really good, showed some solid interactions and gave a preview of the next matches that we should be checking on. Satisfactory match. [***1/4]; Eight Man Tag Team Match: Nice match, maybe it could be better, but as always, it's ok for a filler match. LIJ always make good performances and this was not the exception, maybe their complementary part was not as good. Anyway, adequate match. [**1/2]; Chase Owens VS Great-O-Khan: Actually it wasn't so bad. Their beggining was pretty intense, and Chase looked really nice by trying to steal the match from O-Khan. He's not the best wrestler on the ring, but their powerful aura makes me see him as a truly threat to any wrestler on the company. Nice match, pretty satisfactory. [***1/2]; KENTA VS EVIL: Well, it went pretty predictable, although there were some nice exchanges between this two. Nothing much to say. Adequate. [**]; Lance Archer VS Tom Lawlor: Really solid match. New Japan it's making a hard work promoting the strenght of their Strong guys. Lawlor looked awesome, almost achieved the final pin. Archer sold this match in such a coll way, contratulations to him. Very satisfactory match. [***3/4]; Juice Robinson VS David Finlay: Most of this match success was due to the great story these two wrestlers showed during the battle. The work over the hands, referre's distractions, the intend of the finishers. Finlay as the underdog and Juice as the dominatior, great characterization. The end was pure gold, really nice. Good match. [****1/2]; Another G1 night. There were some interesting matches that I would strongly reccomend, Lawlor VS Archer and the main event of course, the rest ot it was pretty meh. Satisfactory grande for a satisfactory event. [***1/2]"

[5.0] "G1 Climax has such a great status and obviously this is not what we expect from the main tournament in the world. Somehow it is too weak and there is no desire to allocate anything. All fighters are either normal in the ring or very weak. Where are our favorite wrestling shows?"

[3.0] "This was really just a one match show, the tag team matches were okay, Chase Owens vs Great O-Khan *3/4, EVIL vs KENTA not even worth watching- DUD, Lance Archer vs Tom Lawlor *3/4, David Finlay vs Juice Robinson was the only match worth watching- ****3/4"

[4.0] "A very lackluster showing from the G1. It's only saving grace was its main event which was feuled by Finlay's hatred for Robinson's since he betrayed him for bullet club. So far this has been the worst but hopefully it will get back on the right path."

[7.0] "I thought that was a good card. The undercard was decent, and the main event was excellent. Only match that left me unsatisfied was EVIL v. KENTA. 7/10"

[6.0] "I agree with the comparisons to day 3. A pretty rough undercard followed by a strong main event. Was honestly surprised tho just how solid the main event was. Some really strong storytelling and psychology. Also, I cannot tell a lie, I kinda enjoyed Kenta's book spot. But other than that, yeh, it's a wash."

[4.0] "Similar to day 3 of the 2022 G1 Climax, this day was pretty bad apart from the main-event, so you can watch that if that match interests you enough on paper, but you're better off skipping everything else. The main-event should have been far better anyways, considering how disappointing those first 3 block matches that I sat through were. Chase vs O-Khan was two dorks having a dorky match. O-Khan is just a stupid gimmick with minimal in-ring skills, while Chase is a wannabe generic 'work-rate' indy wrestler but without any of the athleticism or polished technique that those sorts of wrestlers at least usually have, plus with an atrocious look. So, neither guy did anything remotely interesting, and they just had lots of pretty weak-looking and lethargic exchanges and spots, though at least they worked at an okay pace. **1/4. Kenta vs Evil involved lots of generic Bullet Club/House of Torture shenanigans, plus lots of totally boring 'anti-wrestling' brawl exchanges, all as expected. This was occasionally mildly entertaining for just how trashy it was, but it was mostly just goofily overbooked. *1/2. Archer vs Lawlor was very mediocre. Archer's monstrous beatdown work was decent, especially when it came to his strength-displays and more impactful strikes, though those weren't as frequent as they should have been. Lawlor's submissions and general grappling all looked decent, though the rest of his offence often looked pretty middling, and his selling wasn't very compelling. Their chemistry was fine, though at times they moved around and interacted with each other a bit too clumsily or slowly. Definitely not the best debut performance from Lawlor. **1/2. Juice vs Finlay was pretty good and by far MOTN. The structure was good, as the story followed Juice brutally working over Finlay's shoulder, with Finlay selling his shoulder extremely consistently while slowly putting together more and more significant attacks in his comeback before finally succeeding in putting his old friend and new rival away. I don't care much for these 2 as characters, but I can acknowledge that both performed their respective face and heel roles quite effectively, and their in-ring interactions were mostly all well-timed and accompanied by good impact and technique. I didn't think they had any truly great moments, but definitely lots of simply 'good' ones. ***1/4 - ***1/2"

[6.0] "Owens vs. O-Khan was surprisingly all about establishing Owens as a potential threat, EVIL vs. KENTA was all about BULLET CLUB bullshit (they were filling time until they did a fuck finish), Lawlor vs. Archer was a good introduction for Lawlor and he was impressive even in defeat, and Robinson vs. Finlay was a match of two halves - first was all about getting heat, second was all about Finlay kicking ass. By the end, it felt like this was an important win in Finlay's career."

[6.0] "Worst night of G1 action so far in the tournament. The undercard was fine, but Chase/GOK and EVIL/KENTA really dragged this show into the mud. Tom/Lance & David/Juice pulled it out a hair. The tournament rages on, KENTA is now 0-2 which puts him in a bad spot. The US Title storyline has progessed to a new unexpected level with David stealing Juice's fake US Title. And the individual G1 arcs are all in full swing at this point on each show."
