[8.0] "An iconic episode of RAW that shows the clear shift in an edgier direction. The first 3/4 of the episode holds up well, building tension with the matches there just to serve as a backdrop to further the Pillman/Austin angle. But the episode held up better in my mind. The climactic home invasion and iconic shot of Pillman with a gun happen about three quarters of the way through the episode. Instead of ending on a thrilling cliff hanger as I remember, we spend the next 20 minutes talking with Kerwin from the production truck and trying to get a non-update on the resolution. It's a landmark moment for the company, but also shows that they were still finding their footing on how to tell the most compelling stories."

[8.0] "Essential viewing for the Pillman/Austin angle. The matches are completely irrelevant and are just there as a platform for the announces to further the angle. The way everything else on the show is used to build up that one storyline is masterfully done and makes it worth watching the whole thing in its entirety."

[9.0] "Very good episode. Matches weren't much but the Austin-Hart Segment and Sid-Michaels-Camp Cornette segments were both great, And the Pillman got a gun segment was amazing and felt very real. This episode was smooth and was one of the best Raws of 96."

[7.0] "The best part of the episode is the angle with Brian Pillman and Stone Cold Steve Austin. It's mature and interesting, way better than most of the feuds seen before. Also Shawn Michaels and Sycho Sid has an interesting confrontation in the ring where they are allies but also rivals. Nothing good from the three matches, but there is the first appearence of The Rock."

[6.0] "This episode is most notable for Pillman's Got a Gun, and actually delivers on that angle in an interesting fashion. Everything else on this show was just filler to kill time between those Austin/Pillman vignettes. This show also has a strike against it for including Fake Razor. The true hidden gem from this episode of Raw, however, is Sid vs. Marlena playing Karate Fighters."

[10.0] "This episode of Raw is a 10 in my opinion, due to the fact it was probably the most controversial pro-wrestling show to date. "Pilman got a gun" as it is called had a then fast rising stone cold Steve Austin breaking into Brian Pilmans house after promising to show up the week before. It is a must see for all fans. This episode caused some heat for the USA network as well as the WWF. This episode showed the true direction the WWF was heading. It was also the first time Rocky Maivia (The Rock( was on Minday Night Raw."
