[9.0] "A full tournament show isn't always my cup of tea, but this one really delivered. From the start to the finish. The first two were really show-stealer worthy wheras Lindaman and Desperado tored the house down."

[6.0] "I hate pointless tag matches on *all* NJPW shows, so I was thankful to not have any on this BOSJ block show, but I'm not sure having 10 block matches on 1 show is the best alternative, since it definitely became a bit of a slog to sit through so many singles matches one after the other. This was still an alright show, though, with the few mediocre matches not being too bad and still being balanced out by the greater number of pretty good matches, though I wish we got at least 1 truly great match out of these 10. Akira vs Zayne was good. Akira was definitely the star with his smooth and energetic stunts and bumps. Zayne had a few cool stunts but was sloppy and underwhelming at points. Good chemistry and some fun counters. ***1/4. TJP vs Titan had very impressively smooth and creative exchange. Lots of fun, non-stop spots. ***1/4 - ***1/2. Taguchi vs Connors had some decent low-level exchanges, but then they leaned quite heavily into the comedy route with the glute attacks, and Connors' offence still wasn't very interesting. **1/2. Bushi vs Yuta was another fine match. Yuta's babyface-selling was decent and he had some fiery comebacks, but both he and Bushi had rather bland and mediocre offences. **1/2. Yoh vs Austin was good. Austin impressed with his flashy attacks and slick movements. Yoh was just Yoh: occasionally impressive but mostly just acceptable. Their chemistry was good, leading to a few cool exchanges and spots. ***1/4. ELP vs Douki deserved longed but was good for its time. Lots of slick and fast-paced exchanges and some creative individual spots as. ELP's heel work remained very entertaining. Douki's possum-play for the sneaky roll-up pin was great. ***1/4. Eagles vs Wato was pretty good and seems unfairly underrated on here. Eagles' offence was obviously more polished and convincing, but Wato's was still pretty good. Their chemistry was mostly really good, and they hit a few pretty creative spots and some impressively smooth counters. ***1/4 - ***1/2. Hiromu vs Kanemaru was less of a match and more of an angle to play into the rest of the tournament, as Kanemaru just tore Hiromu's leg apart until Hiromu submitted. Very basic and short, but pretty effective. **1/2. Ishimori vs Sho was part slog and part dumb fun. They had heaps of lame light-hearted spots, low-effort brawling, and illegal attacks. but then they had a few impressively smooth exchanges and fun near falls. Not good but not overly bad. **1/2. Desperado vs Lindaman was probably MOTN tied with Titan vs TJP. Both guys impressed, with Lindaman's athleticism and physicality looking really good up against Desperado's explosiveness and aggression. They had some decently creative exchanges, and they told a decent dual limb-targeting story as Desperado went after the leg and Lindaman went after the arm. They both could have sold better in the long-term, but their fast-paced counters and exchanges at the end were pretty exciting. ***1/4 - ***1/2"

[8.0] "A pretty well-paced show, using three less-serious matches to break up the barrage of singles matches. The serious matches were all pretty good as well. The strongest day of the tournament so far and very successful for me because it served to increase my investment overall. The highest points may not have been the highest possible, but the pacing of this show is what made it enjoyable for me."

[9.0] "Really great show, not a bad match, although the most underwhelming was probably Taiji v SHO due to all the cheating shenanigans. Two excellent matches in DOUKI v ELP (which is my personal favorite of the night) and Despy v Lindaman. Definitely recommend this show, no filler all good to great stuff."

[8.0] "Easily the best top-to-bottom of the tournament so far. Every match was entertaining, and multiple made their case for match of the night. Lots of great matches. 8/10"

[8.0] "Now beggining the A-B block matches in one show; Francesco Akira VS Alex Zayne: Good opener for the show, with a surprise winner at the end. Zayne sometimes felt a bit slower than Francesco, and that affected various moves they tried to execute. But at the end put a very decent bout. [***1/2]; TJP VS Titan: First win for Titan in this tournament, with a very satisfactory match against TJP. Using the same formula as before, but now getting the victory. Satisfactory match. [***1/4]; Ryusuke Taguchi VS Clark Connors: Weird but interesting match. They tried to so something fun, to put some different things over the tournament, but didn't quite work as expected. The moves were okey. so it's a satisfactory match. [***]: BUSHI VS Wheeler Yuta: Very quick match, with a sure winner. The moves were not very awesome, although there were some interesting things. More than a satisfactory match. [***1/4]; YOH VS Ace Austin: Same as the previous one, good and interesting action that doesn't overpasses the own expectations over the match. Satisfactory enough match. [***]; El Phantasmo VS DOUKI: Until the moment, one of the best matches of the event. Really good movements, charisma, and a very authenthic end. Really surprising match. [****]; Robbie Eagles VS Master Wato: Another really entertaining match, with the prevalence of half of the IWGP Junior Heavyweight champions. Pretty intense, and with a very savage Eagles. Good fight. [****]; Yoshinobu Kanemaru VS Hiromu Takahashi: Really dominant showing from Kanemaru, making all the sheenanigans and dirty play to get the victory over Tahakashi, who surely will be injured for the next matches of the tournament. This is a side of Kanemaru I was really hoping to see a long time ago. [***3/4]; Taiji Ishimori VS SHO: Entertaining but a little bit boring match. Mosf of it both of the wrestlers didn't surpase the expecations of the dirty game, full of low blows, poke eyes, and finally interactions with some weapons. Almost a satisfactory match. [***]; El Desperado VS El Lindaman: A very solid main event to close this event, with a very very surprising winner. Lindaman put all his effort to escape from the Pinche Loco and try to make the pinfall over El Desperado. Good match. [****]; A really good night of combined A-B block action, making the tournament more and more interesting with this plot twist over who will be the winner of each block. Really loving what New Japan are doing this year. [****1/4]"

[7.0] "The joint tournament day did not benefit many matches, I am sure that some matches got more timing. I would give higher grades on average. There were unexpected results on the show and the energy of the audience was felt. I love such tournaments and I am pleased that the juniors have such a wonderful tournament and such cool representatives from all over the world."

Otherwise this was just very good, Despy is again showing how good he is, Douki even stood out to me in his match."

[8.0] "Despy has been the best wrestler of the tournament and he continued his great form here with another star of the tourney in El Lindaman, Ishimori vs SHO actually made good use of HOT shenanigans. Titan had another strong showing and there were a bunch of good finishes on this show."

[9.0] "Incredibly solid card in the first night of the tournament without filler. After a kind of slow start, particularly on the A Block, things really went up a notch on Night 7. Ace Austin, Phantasmo, DOUKI, and El Lindaman were the ones who looked better. It was definitely a right move from NJPW to make this a free event."
