| 1 | 30.05.2023 | Dkex | 8.0 | Die Show eröffnet mit einer guten In-Ring Promo von Morrissey, die von Bryan Myers unterbrochen wird. Das war ein echt unterhaltsamer Start in die Show. Hätte nie gedacht, dass ich mich mal für eine Fehde zwischen den Beiden interessieren würde. Den Opener fand ich dann auch recht ordentlich. Nigtingale hat einen guten Eindruck hinterlassen. Das Interview mit Mickie James wurde natürlich von Green und Co. unterbrochen und endet in einem kurzen Brawl/Beatdown. Das war absolut okay, die Story wird konsequent weitergeführt. Im Anschluss wird Tasha Steelz interviewed und wird dann per Videobotschaft von Rosemary unterbrochen. Bisher ist die Show vor allem abseits des Rings wirklich unterhaltsam. Im Ring gibt es dann Gresham vs. Romero, ein gutes, unterhaltsames Match zwischen zwei Wrestling Veteranen. Das Hypevideo für Moose vs. Alexander war dann richtig stark und macht so richtig Lust auf das große Aufeinandertreffen, viel besser hätte das Video nicht sein können. Das kurze Backstage Segment zwischen Ace Austin und Mike Bailey war okay und soll weiter Interesse schüren, ob Bailey auf Austins Seite steht oder nicht. Shelley vs. Maclin war dann ein weiteres gutes Match, tolle Leistung von Beiden. Es wird ein Rückblick gezeigt auf BTI, wo Kaleb "entsorgt" wird und nicht mehr Part von the Influence ist. Das mündet dann ein ein Segment zwischen Madison Rayne und Gisele Shaw, und die ganze Storyline um den Knockouts Tag Title spinnt sich weiter, kann man so machen. Dann gab es nochmal ein Hypevideo für Moose vs. Alexander, dieses Mal mehr aus der Perspektive von Moose, war ebenfalls stark. Im Anschluss hält Honor no More, eine ordentliche In-Ring Promo. Natürlich wurde die vom Bullet Club unterbrochen und das war dann auch durchaus okay, das Segment verlor aber an Qualität. Nach einem kurzen Brawl geht es fließend über in das Match von JONAH vs. PCO. Das war dann überraschend gut, vor allem von PCO hätte ich das so nicht erwartet. Der Aftermath war dann auch absolut in Ordnung. In der Summe war die Show dann tatsächlich recht stark, obwohl jetzt kein Match wirklich ganz große Klasse war. Aber dafür gab es kein einziges Lowlight und dazu war Impact abseits des Rings richtig überzeugend. |

Purrazzo's open challenge was pretty solid, Gresham and Romero have a superb chemistry, same for Shelley and Sabin, the highlight of the night. JONAH vs. PCO II was another slapper. A killer card. |

And much more. There were only 4 fights waiting for us, but each one was performed with dignity, there were also behind-the-scenes promo videos and the emergence of new confrontations. I am happy with such an episode, it was easy and interesting to watch, now in the current reality this is the most important thing. The Honor No More vs Bullet Club is generally an application for something very interesting. Here, of course, I give the sympathy of the Jay White group. |

Morrisey's promo was authentic, I loved it and I was proud that he managed to do so well thanks to the crowd's love and Impact's trust. I thought the Major Players meeting afterwards was ideal, the best idea to have them both doing something and it makes perfect sense to tie in with the work they're doing in GCW, NWA and other companies. The level in ring was remarkable, few high quality matches, you can tell that Impact is wanting to put quality over quantity. The promos of Josh and Moose were a bit long, but it's appreciated that they wanted to work the production at such a high level. A great show. |

Leider wurde Moose vs. Alexander nur durch ein Videopaket fortgeführt. Auch die anderen Segmente konnten diese Woche nicht so wirklich überzeugen. Gerade W. Morrissey und Brian Myers finde ich persönlich sehr langweilig. Insgesamt aber eine gute Show die vor allem durch die Matches überzeugen konnte. |

That meant less matches but the matches themselves were given time and were generally of a higher quality than usual, especially in the midcard. The Honor No More vs Bullet Club stuff maybe went a bit long for me, especially before BC entered, but everything else was pretty entertaining and they have me looking forward to Rebellion. I think this was maybe Morrissey's first clear face promo since turning face a while back and it was an emotional one. A good episode which mostly did well with its time. |
