[4.0] "There wasn't much to this one other than Orndorff, Dirty White Boy promo, and some squash matches. Just a boring Jim Cornette-booked episode for "Wrestling the way it used to be, just the way you want it'. Not even close, Corny."
[7.0] "I liked this show a lot. The show starts with Horowitz cutting a good promo on Brian Lee. Then we have a match between this two. It was good, Brian Lee looks strong in victory. Horowitz is really good. Then Brian Lee cuts a promo on Dirty White Boy, it was cool, he is getting better. BMW vs Tommy Angel was a good match. But the next segment was even better. Ron Wright is marvelous on the mic, I could listen to him for hours. It was really fun how he faked a heart attack so DMW didn't have to face Brian Lee. Great segment. The Batten Twins won a squash match, they are a good midcard babyface team. Cornette and Heavenly Bodies promo was fantastic, really entertaining, building up a future match with the Fantastics. Cornette is gold on the mic. Tim Horner and Buddy Landel segment was fun and intense, continue their rivalry. Jimmy Golden vs Ben Jordan was a nice squash, Golden looks strong. The main event was fine, Paul Orndorff storyline continues, it's really interesting."
[6.0] "Lee vs. Horowitz: Solid opener that continue to make Brian Lee looks strong. (**) / DWB vs. Angel: Another solid competitive squash. (*¾) / Batten Twins vs. Cazana & Sandlin: Fine for what it was. Build The Battens up as a credible challenger for the tag title, I gotta say they looks more aggressive than usual. (*¾) / Golden vs. Jordan: A squash too short to be good. (*¼) / Dynomite vs. Orndorff: Solidly fun main event. (**½) / Overall: Another episode, yet another solid show. Matches quality was very poor but this felt like a completely refresh show after Volunteer Slam SuperCard. Well laid stuff setting up for future episodes."
[7.0] "An angle-heavy, yet particularly enjoyable hour of Smoky Mountain Wrestling. Paul Orndorff continues to be a very compelling character, and Brian Lee, while kind of the shits, is definitely a suitable inaugural babyface champion given the time and place. No standout matches, most of them short and rudimentary (the usual in early SMW), though good as a television product."
