[5.0] "Rules/Bear was a basic, nondescript opener, and the constant barrage of racist joke on commentary was simply appalling. Vampyre/Matthews had some neat ideas and a fast pace, but the execution was very sloppy and confusing at time, making the finish look very lame and artificial. Skullduggery/Johnson was a pretty awful squash match, with a cheap ugly jobber costume being the foil for the hot newcomer who proved to be woefully limited and inept, the layout of the match showing his limited repertoire and the finish being possibly the lamest clean pinfall I have ever seen. Sanchez/York had a lot more experiences and seasoned workers, when they got going it was very nice to see, but sadly they chose to have a match with a lot of stalling and restholds, really limiting themselves and their workrate potential. Rose/Daniels was too basic and monotone to be good, but they but showed glimpses of personality that makes you want to get more of them and see what they can do in more substantial matches. Voltage/Noxious felt like the height of local amateurism, with both guys being quite imprecise through their frenetic pace. Gillespie/Mest started with formidable energy and grit, but quickly devolved into a lazy mess of cheap tactics and lame schtick, leading to a weird non-ending. That being said, another match started in parallels, which feels quite original and fresh, with Crimson/Cremator having what amounts to a pretty standard hardcore brawl, but one that the fans appreciate and that adds a bit of an edge to the new promotion, even if that division feels quite restrained. Quackenbush/Idol was a great main event, with some of the cleanest action of the night, a good back-and-forth suspense and the triumpg of Mike Quackenbush, who now starts the run that defines him as the absolute ace of FWA. This certainly was a mixed bag, with a lot of talented injection to the roster, but also very careless booking that leaves a lot of frustrating loose ends, sloppy staff work that made them look awfully cheap-rent, shaky performances that were more than little sloppy wrestling, but thankfully there was enough decent wrestling, and a well-executed fun main event that made sure this was a decently good event that gives them tool to be better in the future."
