"I was expecting to see some historical stuff for this 500th edition and even some old-timers from the yellow and black brand, but it's not the case"

[6.0] "A good episode before the ppv, of course, there was not enough face-to-face showdown between Bron and Dolph. In general, wrestling was at a pleasant level, short fights for an understandable reason were of such timing - everything is logical. Cameron Grimes is walking towards a dream. And we are waiting for ppv."

[6.0] "Pros: the Six man tag was a fun fast paced opener, The hyped packages a promos for the NXT title and the Womens title were pretty good. The Main Event was one of the best matches since 2.0 started, as expected with Roddy, A-Kid and Grimes in the ring. The show kept stories moving and hyped up stand and deliver Cons: The Undercard was unremarkable, at least one of those matches could've been cut to give the rest of them a bit more time, the Persia/Indi feud is not for me at all same with the "trendy" commentary Overall: A solid go home show but with a lot of skippable stuff"

[5.0] "The video packages and interviews, particularly Ziggler and the female champs, previewing Saturday's big show were much-more effective than the hokum on Raw. No match outside the opener tickled my fancy...I'm at a 5.5; the current rating is 5.82, so I'll round-down."

[7.0] "The opener was a solid, fun tag match that had the chaotic nature which was expected and the winners being right for me so as to protect the champs as well as saving the best from Knight vs. WALTER. Ivy is improving so well and the match she had here was a good example and I could see her as a future champ by this year. DZ's package was presented very well while Brooks & Jensen had a really solid bout against LDF thereby cementing their style of wrestling which suits them pretty fine. Toxic Attraction had a decent promo ending with a far-eye predicted reunion in Dakota & Raquel. Von Wagner & Joe Gacy have become the least interesting acts of this era & they proved it again here. Bron's package was greatly done while Nikkita is growing on me slowly as a star. But I have to take back the words I said on Lash Legend - she resembles Naomi & Bianca but in the dumbest way possible. The main event was high-octane and a great dose of action that had ample time of breathing room for every spots. Grimes was the wise choice for the winner as he had a effective story unlike the other two to be at Stand & Deliver. This episode was a solid go-home show towards Stand & Deliver where the build was done right and the low points were short which led to them being outnumbered by the positives."

[7.0] "NXT isn't quite as good as the old Black and Gold, but it's definitely back to being the best WWE brand. A couple of the short matches were poor, but that's to be expected on a developmental show, and for the most part the segments and wrestling were good, and they somewhat toned down the unrelenting horniness from the last few episodes. I might be slightly overrating this, but it's the first time I've truly enjoyed a WWE show for a few weeks. Also, unlike the main roster shows, it did a good job of building up to the big event at the weekend."

Big character moments and story progression. An amazing feel good emotional moment. Lots of intrigue for future stories. Incredible hype packages for Ziggler, Cora, and Bron. I just don't get how people are rating this so low. it baffles me a lot."

[4.0] "The GOOD: Solid opening match, Tommaso Champa promo, the videos for Bron Breakker and Dolph Ziggler, the main event triple threat... The BAD: All other matches were short and bland if not just bad, the segments were badly written and sounded like trashy reality TV, I don't understand why Dakota Kai and Raquel González would get back together after all they have done to each other it's just a lazy way to get them back together with them having no reason to trust each other. Overall not good at all. There were flashes of ok moments but they were short-lived and the only thing really worth a watch from the show is the main event other than that, skip this week."

Penta Suzuki wrote on 30.03.2022:
[2.0] "The main event was pretty good, LDF put in a great performance and the Dolph video package was decent, but there were far, far too many bad matches and segments, which made this a really poor episode. Nile vs Stratton was rough, especially the pinning transitions. Wagner vs Hayward was an all-time stinker of a match... as an overall package, Wagner must be one of the worst in all of NXT. Kushida was made to look like a joke, again. Gacy vs Anthony was a short but sloppy waste of time. Indi and Persia had another painful, badly acted segment. Mandy Rose cut a diabolical promo, showing again that she is even worse on the mic than she is in the ring. Raquel and Dakota reuniting with a loving hug is completely dumb and unearned. There was also a bad promo from Lash Legend following a not particularly impressive Nikkita Lyons squash match. Overall, not an enjoyable episode."

[7.0] "I'll give an extra point for both the opener and the main event, and for the big reunion of Big Trouble (Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez), but this episode was largely average otherwise, largely playing it safe ahead of Stand and Deliver on Saturday."
Danny Red wrote on 30.03.2022:
[7.0] "Kinda bloated show, although I'll give it a pass with a good rating since it put final details on the upcoming matches at Stand & Deliver and also kept developing some of the most important characters in the show that are not on the Saturday's special event. In that sense, yes, it's was kinda bloated, but at least that had a concrete purpose. Some things that I don't find interesting are Von Wagner and Joe Gacy's characters and whatever they do; highlights from the show include opener and main event matches, and also promos of S&D matches shown throughout the show (promos from Io and Kaylee, Ciampa, Ziggler, and Bron Breakker)."

[5.0] "Kind of a mid tier episode. LA Knight and MSK should have won the six man tag at the beginning because I'm pretty sure LA Knight is gonna lose to Gunther at Stand & Deliver. My favorite match on the show was Joe Gacy vs. Draco Anthony. Nikkita Lyons looked fantastic too."
