[5.0] "As it's just a one match show, it's the same review as on the matchguide. It was fine for what it was. It was an average encounter with basic spots, but it was enough entertaining. Hammermeier looked fine, with some decent punches and forearms, but he best in the match was Matt Lee. He made the match most interesting as the heel and with some decent moves, such as the armdrags into a celebration at the start or when he went to the floor teasing he was leaving, just to force his opponent to follow him and then brawl on the merch table. It was pretty basic and the ending was kind of lame with Matt Lee falling to the mat out of nowhere allowing Hammermeir to hit an elbow drop for the win."

[5.0] "Since this was a one match show I'm just gonna use the same review for the show and the match. This was the first DPW Spark; which was made to be a free taster type show after they decided to make a subscription service to help produce more revenue to run more and bigger shows. This first Spark was fine. The match here between Jakob Hammermeier and Matt Lee (Now known as Daddy Magic) was alright but maybe a little too goofy for me at times. I did get a kick out of Matt Lee here though. Hammermeier had a really lame finish; this was actually my first time seeing the guy and this was apparently his first singles match in years. Hammermeier goes over in his hometown."

[5.0] "Interesting mini-show, don't know if it's really important for storylines or just talent showcase, I guess time will tell? The match was pretty good, but had some miscommunications which seem to blight many of DPW's otherwise very good matches."

[7.0] "Solid 15 minute show, I really like 1 match shows, they're really easy to take in and gives the fans some extra content. The match itself was fine and the crowd was engaged."

[5.0] "Looks like Spark is a pre-show instalment for Fire, similar to Impact's BTI. I'm fine with this angle of adding a match that might be a sleeper. Here, we had Matt Lee of AEW's 2point0 taking on Jakob who is pretty much known for his character and basic wrestling backup. That was a solid match actually with the crowd involving very well for Lee."
