[9.0] "A good chunk of the undercard was mostly filler with a good amount of solid to whatever matches, but the WWE Women's World Title triple threat is incredible and Rhodes Vs Rollins 3 HIAC is absolutely phenomenal. Overall Hell In A Cell (2022) is a fantastic show."

[7.0] "A good PPV held up primarily by its bookends. The mid card is really weird on here; remnants of a lot of the half-executed ideas from Vince's last run with a grip on the company (I still, for the life of me, don't remember Rhea and Liv being a tag team, even though little things like this constantly remind me of it, and I watched the product at the time) and the booking of it was baffling then and still is in hindsight. (Ezekiel losing here, despite being at least moderately over at one point, ultimately led to his (Elias's) exit from the company. The botched Happy Corbin/Madcap Moss storyline also doesn't really hold up either, and the less said about the Omos/Lashley feud, the better.) Still a fun PPV that will probably get lots of rematches at the beginning and end."

[8.0] "Rhodes vs. Rollins III is an easy pick for match of the night, with Rhodes' working through his legitimate injury certain to serve as a defining performance of his current WWE run. BelAir vs. Asuka vs. Lynch was an excellent opener, Judgment Day vs. AJ/Balor/Morgan was a solid mixed tag that helped establish the Judgment Day stable following its WrestleMania formation; Owens vs. Ezekiel was a good performance from the former that will largely blow off a silly but fun filler storyline, and the rest was at least decent. A really good watch."

[8.0] "The opener was an action-packed barnburner between three of the best women WWE has to offer currently. Bianca winning cemented her place in the roster as the top tier woman. Lashley completed his story with Omos & MVP through a solid handicap match that had decent offense & good pacing. Zeke & Owens had a pretty good back-and-forth contest with a surprising result while the six-person tag was another barnburner that showcased the best out of everyone. Moss & Corbin might not have the most interesting characters but their match here was another pleasant surprise. Theory almost survived against Mustafa who was the better performer & had all the tools to dethrone the champion. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. The main event has found a special place in my heart just for the gutsy gladiator transformation by Cody Rhodes and I wish this is the last time in any part of pro wrestling where a wrestler with a gruesome injury like that is cleared to wrestle. This show had the most recent format captured by WWE as of late - lack of a really good build towards it but outsmarts the hype and delivers a strong show in overall. All the matches received ample time to deliver as per expectations."

[6.0] "Decent enough show. Opener was great and main event was spectacular. But there is nothing in between those worth rewatching. Lots of just decent matches that were kinda pointless. Nothing outright bad besides the handicap match, but nothing that good either. Cody Rollins is probably my wwe moty tho."

[8.0] "WWE can do it when they want. Just a wonderful show on all fronts, from emotions to wrestling. Cody Rhodes is the main star of the show and he was really able to impress everyone, even his haters. Certainly one of the most memorable matches of our time with new heroes and villains of his time. I am glad that the show turned out to be good from the wrestling side and the results were adequate. In general, the overall impression is close to the top and even the worst matches on the show looked good. I'm glad that everything turned out so perfectly for the company. The efforts were justified."

[5.0] "A very mediocre show, where the biggest matches were all quite disappointing and the lesser matches were mostly pointless time-wasters. Bianca vs Asuka vs Becky was a fine opener. It followed the standard 3-way formula with a 3rd wrestler always being thrown out and then running back in for their next planned spot, and they had quite a lot of artificial-looking exchanges because they never did a great job hiding their set-ups. They had a few cool and creative ideas, but most of their interactions were merely decent, and their chemistry was never especially great. Asuka was the best wrestler, so of course she was the one to eat the pin. ***. MVP & Omos vs Lashley was very lame. Omos was a generic monster with limited athleticism and zero creativity. MVP had absolutely nothing to his offence. Lashley's offence was fine but definitely not nearly as explosive as he presents himself, since none of his big moves looked convincing. His face-in-peril segment and comeback were both very underwhelming. *3/4. Owens vs Ezekiel had an embarrassing excuse of a story, but the match here was fine. Owens' despicable and deranged heel character work was okay, and his offence was decently impactful and creative. Ezekiel had a few good knee strikes and athletic displays, but most of his offence was very basic. **1/2. The 6-man Mixed Tag match was quite good and my MOTN. Each of the 6 wrestlers had a distinct style, smooth movements, and mostly convincing offence. Rhea and Liv had some decently creative exchanges, while AJ and Balor had some impressively athletic attacks. Priest and Edge were less impressive but still decent. The rapid run-on exchanges at the end were all pretty good, ensuring the match finished well. ***1/4. Corbin vs Moss was a very low-effort brawl with generic weapon attacks the majority of the time. Their one or two actual wrestling exchanges/spots were fine, but definitely nothing too impressive. **. Theory vs Ali had a bunch of okay low-level exchanges that highlighted their athletic abilities, though their lack of any real intensity or creativity, plus their equal lack of meaningful character work, meant that this was merely fine at best. **3/4. Cody vs Rollins was just fine. It suffered from the issue almost all hardcore-based matches suffer from, where the majority of the weapon attacks and prop spots looked very underwhelming. It also suffered from the issue all modern Rollins matches suffer from, where Rollins was absurdly goofy with his facial expressions, screams, dialogue, etc., all which took me out of the match. After a series of underwhelming wrestling exchanges and heaps of generic hardcore spots, they then had a bunch of finisher spam, no-selling, and near-fall spam, none of which was especially interesting. **1/2"

Cody and Seth worked around the limitations of a torn pec and told a great story. The amount of ads and video packages turn a short enjoyable ppv into a boring slog."

[10.0] "Bianca Belair VS Becky Lynch VS Asuka: It's not the most accurate comparison, but when you watch this level of women's wrestling, and then watch AEW, the difference between both is gigantic, this is the best women's wrestling of the world. What a fantastic match, what a star is Bianca Belair. Perfectly told story combined with stylish wrestling. [*****]; Two On One Handicap Match: Actually a pretty satisfactory match that kept me interested trough all the fight. Omos is still green, but this type of matches help him grow. Bobby and MVP were good, and with a nice finale. [***1/2]; Kevin Owens VS Ezekiel: I really liked every part of this match, since the building of the rivalry, until the end of the match. Very nice action inside the ring, this new Ezekiel with that intensity it's pretty good, and Owens, who is always great. And a great win for him, surely not an expected one. Good match. [****]; Mixed Six Man Tag Team Match: Another great match for these pretty good wrestlers. The intensity they kept trough all the match was awesome, the two teams looked spectacular, and maintains the reing of the Judgment Day. Blessed the day Edge came back to active wrestling. Very good match. [*****]; No Holds Barred Match: Another good match for this great event. Corbin has been consistently giving good matches at PPV's, and Madcap Moss looked great with this stipulation, it's good to see new stars in the near horizon of WWE. Good match. [****1/4]; Theory VS Mustafa Ali: This was maybe the lowest rated match of the card, but even that giving us a satisfactory match. A bit skippable, showing a surprising very strong Mustafa, with a winner Theory. Satisfactory match. [***]; Hell In A Cell Match: HUGE main event, one of the best Hell in a Cell matches olf the history. Both men gave everything to put a rude and psichologycal fight with a great end. All that work around the injured chest of Cody, the hammer, and the counter by counter of the finishers of everyone. Poetic win for Cody. Now he is ready to go for the Huge one, The World Championship. Great main event. [*****]; Very good event, there was full of great fights, great work for all the wrestlers, and a historic main event. I really hope this doesn't get worse on that Cody's injury. It's the first time in a while I feel WWE deserved a ten grade, great work. [*****]"

The main event was one of the most compelling matches I've watched in some time due to the circumstances surrounding it. Matches from best to worst: Cody/Seth *****, Bianca/Becky/Asuka ****1/2, mixed tag ***3/4, KO/Ezekiel ***1/4, Theory/Ali ***1/4, Madcap/Corbin ***, Lashley/Omos **1/2"

[8.0] "It's been roughly a year since I tuned into a WWE pay-per-view but the high rating and the ratings of some of the matches made me curious enough to check this out. The opener was fantastic, got good time and each woman got to shine before the fittingly chaotic ending. The mixed tag was also pretty good and got good time without being too long, while showcasing good tag team strategy even if it wasn't a full-out tag match. The main event is one of the most atmospheric and surreal matches you'll ever see due to Cody's injury. It was slow-built but fantastic, full of callbacks, great storytelling and a perfect ending. I skimmed through the rest of the show and didn't dislike any of it, but the three main matches were all really good or terrific. When a seven-match show has no bad matches, two that are an 8.5/10 or better and another that's really good, that's an 8/10 show. Considering how many of the top stars for WWE were unable to be on the card, and the fact that there were only 2 title matches and one HIAC match on the show, this is a home run success for WWE in my opinion."
Derek Joists wrote on 06.06.2022:
[7.0] "After last night's NXT event with 5 title matches, we got a main roster one with only two, and only one of them being a top level championship. That wasn't helped by most of the feuds being uninteresting. That said, several of the matches over-delivered making for a genuienely enjoyable show, and even injured Cody managed to put on the match of the night - with obviously a lot of help from Rollins. An enjoyable event overall, but Cody's injury was the only really memorable thing about the night."

[8.0] "This was an excellent PPV, one of WWE's best in recent months. The opener was incredible, as was the main event. The mid card was mainly filler, but the mixed tag and US title match were both very solid. Ezekiel and Owens was basic but good, the Corbin/Moss match was alright, and the weakest of the card, the handicap match, wasn't terrible at all. Hopefully some new stories begin after this show as we begin the road to Money in the Bank. Great show."

tsdenizen wrote on 06.06.2022:
[8.0] "Some mediocre fluff and a questionable ethical decision aside, this was easily the most compelling the fed's been in ages. It's the bookend matches: the triple threat women's title match absolutely slapped and how could it not with the talent involved. The main event was one of the craziest things I've ever seen for good and bad: it was disgusting and stupid but also riveting and beautiful. It was everything I both love and hate about this wonderful and wretched sport and once Cody's all healed I'll revisit it a billion times while praying nobody ever pulls this shit again. Rest was more or less fine. Mixed trios was pretty fun and nothing else offended, shockingly enough. Didn't hate any of it. WWE's show of the year so far and maybe my 5th favorite major show overall this year (1. Revolution, 2. Supercard of Honor, 3. Wrestling Dontaku, 4. Double or Nothing, 5. Hell in a Cell)."
