[7.0] "A low 7, MOTN was the main event but it was good in terms of the expected caliber from a G1 perspective. It was still a good match, the next best match was by a distance SANADA/YH. Everything else failed spectacularly to impress in any way. The rest was solid at best and don't get me started on Evil/Goto which was the same old story as has been since that ill-fated NJ cup final of 2020."
[6.0] "Takahashi vs. Oiwa - **; Tonga vs. Taichi - ***1/4; SANADA vs. YOSHI-HASHI - ***1/2; Okada vs. Owens - ***1/4; EVIL vs. Goto - **; Cobb vs. Tanahashi - ***1/2."
[6.0] "A completely skippable night of the G1 - not a single match notable enough for a re-watch unless you are a diehard completionist. [Hiromu vs Oiwa] - 3 ¼ stars. [Taichi vs Tama] - 2 stars. [SANADA vs YOSHI-HASHI] - 3 ¼ stars. [Okada vs Chase] - 3 stars. [EVIL vs Goto] - 2 ¼ stars (Worst of the Night). [Tanahashi vs Cobb] - 3 ½ stars (Match of the Night). Average match rating: 2.88 of 5 stars (or 5.76 of 10). Rounded to 6 for Cagematch."
[6.0] "Nearly gave this one a 5. Nothing on this outright sucked, but for a G1, Goto-EVIL was obviously out of place; the whole blatant EVIL cheating is terribly played out at this point. The first three tournament matches were fine. Tana-Cobb was the highlight, and it's at 3 3/4 for me."
[5.0] "Just below satsifactory for me because, other than the main event, this card felt like a series of uninteresting match-ups which either went too long or felt like they did. There's nothing that bad about them, they just felt like average matches which went on just long enough to become a bit boring. The main event is clear match of the night but kind of a "generic good match".and not one of the tournament's best. Definitely not strong enough to save the card for me, so I came away thinking this was all pretty skippable."
[7.0] "Good day, nothing bad but nothing noteworthy either, best match is the main event. While the main event was good, I'm not sure if I'd say it was absolutely must watch. I'd put this night somewhere in the middle of G1 cards this year."
