[6.0] "Very fun show that started with a decent tag match the funks looked great and hogan and jyd didnt look bad either. The ending was kinda funny classic 80s wwf. Then we got the battle of the big boys which was somthing i guess. Adrian adonis vs paul orndoff was fine adrian looked great. Decent main event aswell. Overall a decent show."

[4.0] "A bad SNME. None of the matches were good, even though there was plenty to do with the fallout from Wrestlemania 2. You can feel that the crowd is invested and that the wrestlers are starting to be well identified, but the quality of the wrestling was pretty low overall. There wasn't much of note outside the matches, apart from a few short video sequences to set the scene and that shocking Jake Roberts attack on Ricky Steamboat (poor snake btw). In addition, the absence of Jesse Ventura is regrettable and Henan sometimes goes a little too far in his role as heel with his comments on Haiti Kid in particular. In-ring quality: 1.75/5. Non-match angles and segments: 0.25/3. Bonus/Malus: none. Total: 4/10. Show seen on WWE Network."

[6.0] "A pretty solid SNME episode with some decent wrestling. In the opener, Hogan continued his feud with the Funks by teaming with JYD in what felt like a big-time TV main event and was pretty decent overall. Orndorff vs Adonis was also good with some fun character work and selling from Adonis. The Bulldogs had their first title defense against Sheik and Volkoff, and while it certainly wasn't as good as their previous matches against the Dream Team, they got a decent match out of them considering how much the heels were slowing down by this point. Bundy vs Elmer was short enough to be inoffensive, with Bundy getting some heat back from his Mania 2 loss to Hogan with an emphatic win over a similarly-sized opponent. Roberts vs Steamboat never actually got started as Jake attacked Steamboat before the bell, DDT'd him on the floor and put the snake on him, but it was a well-executed angle. Kind of a sneaky-good episode overall."

[5.0] "This was a fine episode, but not really one worth watching. The best part of this show in my opinion was the no contest between Ricky Steamboat and Jake the Snake because Jake attacked Ricky brutally before the match even started; the infamous DDT on the concrete moment. King Kong Bundy vs Uncle Elmer was my least favourite thing on this show; with Bundy having my least favourite performance of the show. Adrian Adonis had my favourite performance here; doing some good character work and having a decent little match with Paul Orndorff."

[3.0] "This was the first main event after minia 2 so it did not have a very good base to go off of Hogan and the jyd vs the funks. This match was not the worst thenks to the funks by wich i mean tarry cos dory jr. Could not care less.also the haiti kid needs to go away (4/10) Bundy and elmer had a match. Could have been worse. Was still bad (2/10) Adoins and orndorff had a match that had alot of heat tho vince was so bad that it hurt the match for me (4/10) The jake the snake vs steamboat match was more of an angal and i liked it. The tag belt match was fine with the best part ofc being the sheiks suplexes wich are the only thing he can do by this point but they look real good on dayve boy who is selling realy well in this match (5/10). Over all i would give tgis show a 3 as none of the matches ware that good and nothing else about it realy hit home. The mvp was jake the snake for his over all job to build up the fued with steamboat."

The Funks/Hogan tag match was super fun and definitely worth your time. Orndorff/Adonis and the tag title match were both very solid too, although the latter may be a little disappointing. The Steamboat/Roberts angle was fucking amazing, featuring possibly the best DDT delivered on wrestling television. Recommended show."

Dave Boy Smith/Dynamite Kid vs. Nikolai Vokoff and Iron Sheik - 8/10 Pretty solid supercard that doesn't have any great matches or poor matches."

[8.0] "Like many events from this era, I find this to be somewhat underrated. I would recommend both the Funk tag match and the Orndorff/Adonis match as being pretty good, the first for Terry Funk's crazy bumping and the second for a shocking amount of energy and just a generally fun match, problematic gimmick aside. I thought I would like the main event more, but it's a little disappointing. The Roberts/Steamboat angle is really good though. Heenan is also very fun on commentary, one of the first times he got a chance to take that role."

[4.0] "There's something ungainly about these cards. Hulkamania (ewww) is in full effect and it's fun for a bit to see the heel Funk's sell for the babyface dominance. What irks me is that it is JYD's feud, and his time to get the duke... but of course, it's all Hogan. Then WWF had the nerve to play JYD's music - eghhh... Bundy/Elmer felt anachronistic, too late '85. Adorable is a silly yet colorful gimmick but twelve minutes of silly in-ring time without a clear decision feels like a rip-off. I appreciated the no-contest between Snake/Dragon because it properly sets up a feud... moves Steamboat from Muraco/Fuji to an incoming heel with great enigmatic, dark appeal. The tag title match is a joke and does nothing to give the new champs any momentum as they're physically dominated throughout the entire contest. Unlike other SNME's there's no dynamic vignettes. Thumbs down"

Adonis vs Orndorff is another terrible Adonis match (the gimmick is stupid). Roberts vs Steamboat doesn't even start, and Hulk Hogan has the opening tag team match. Nothing that I would recommend."
