| 2 | 08.02.2025 | DanTalksRasslin | 4.0 | This was a Halloween episode of SNME and the Halloween vignettes that made up the majority of outside-the-ring content were a mixed bag; a lot of it just kind of felt like it was going on forever, but there was some entertainment to be had with Piper's insanity on full display, and this was the origin of the Iron Sheik-dressed-as-Batman meme. In terms of in-ring action, Terry Funk and JYD had a decent little TV match, and though even shorter and going to a double countout, Santana vs Savage for the IC Title was good while it lasted. There's also a battle of giants as Hogan and Andre team up against Studd and Bundy, which is a spectacle if nothing else, and Steamboat manages to get something out of Fuji in a match that's played up as a martial arts showcase of sorts. There's nothing must-see here, but it's a watchable episode if nothing else. |

This is followed by an embarrassing Halloween Pie Eating Contest. Piper's Pit with Uncle Elmer & Friends is pretty nasty, but goes off lightly for the hillbillies. The tag match that follows is also very loud and does a decent job of conveying the story between the heavy hitters. After that, things get awkward - a music clip of the WWF Superstars to a chant that's more reminiscent of 'Here Comes The Hotstepper' - even if it didn't hit the charts until much later. Santana & Savage give a first hint of the match quality to be expected with more time and story. This is followed by a Halloween sequence with Roddy Piper greeting some very disturbed-looking children. A Mister Fuji on the last meters of his active career is clearly defeated by an up-and-coming Steamboat in the WWF. A colorful Halloween issue, a little better than SNM #2 from the previous month. |

May favourite part of this show was Tito Santana vs Randy Savage for the IC Title; this is a little before Savage had beat Santana for the title. I did not enjoy the Pipers Pit on this show with the Hillbillies; but also the only Hillbilly I like is Jim. This show is a little noteworthy for having Jesse Ventura's first match in forever. The Halloween stuff is awful on this show, and gave a horrendous eating contest. These shows always sucked early on with the themes. |

Funk dose his best to get a good match out of the jyd buping like a boss and it almost works also this match sets up funk to have maches with pepole who matter (4/10). After this match and the flowing skit we get another pipers pit woth the hilbilys seting up a 6 man with the aginst piper orton and the body. what a waste of 3 good talents. So its hogan and andre aginst bundy and stud and the match is as boring as it sounds. Pleas let this fude end (3/10). Savge vs tito (or chiko as the body calls him) in a match that is good but wich ends verry fast with a none finish (5/10). Steamer vs fuji this match was ood as it was bilt as a kong fu match but honstly it was not that bad (4/10) Over all this was a show saved by the skits and piper (agin) So i shall give it a low 4 even tho its closer to like a 3.5 The mvp was funk for making jyd work a match that did not make me wana stop watching what a hero he is |

I honestly thought the Halloween theme was harmless good fun, and I got a good laugh out of it as well, particularly the Piper's one. The stuff in the ring was slightly better than the first two episodes, highlighted by a short but solid Savage/Tito bout, a fun Funk showcase and an energetic Hogan Andre tag match. Nice little show. |

| 24 | 27.11.2020 | Sebastian V | 6.0 | Erstmal zu den Matches und da beginnt es mit Terry Funk gegen JYD und das ist ein gutes Beispiel dafür, wie eine gute Story und ein guter Aufbau ein Match aufwerten kann. Eigentlich sind das etwas über 5 Minuten Wrestling auf Standardniveau aber durch die Story, die mir als jemandem der die Shows davor nicht gesehen hat auch gut erklärt wird, wird das ein solides Match und auch die Zuschauer sind im Match drin. Das Match danach ist ähnlich und für mich auch das MOTN. Auch hier ist es so, dass da nicht so viel wrestlerisch passiert aber die Stimmung kommt gut rüber, zudem hat man das hier mit dem DQ Finish ganz sinnvoll gemacht, sodass es dann auch solide ist. Santana gegen Savage ist dann danach ein Storymatch, Steamboat gegen Mr. Fuji ebenfalls. Beide Matches waren halt so naja und schwächer als die ersten beiden. Wrestlerisch war die Episode insgesamt damit nur okay aber die entscheidenden Dinge passieren hier auch abseits des Rings. Der Anfang mit Bobby Heenan ist schon ganz witzig und das ist der Startschuss für eine Rolle von Halloween bezogenen Spielen, welches schließlich im Weiterreichen des Kürbisses endet. Das Segment mit Roddy Piper und den Kindern, die an Halloween an seiner Tür klingeln hat mich zum Lachen gebracht. Apropos Roddy Piper: Das Darkmatch wurde insofern auch behandelt, als dass es ein Segment mit den Hillbillies und Piper im Ring gab, bei welchem sich Piper hervortat. Aus diesen Gründen muss man sagen, dass es insgesamt durch das Entertainment abseits vom Ring eine anständige, als Weekly durchaus unterhaltsame Show war, welche in meinen Augen 6 Punkte verdient. |

Pipers Pit mit den The Hillbillies als Gäste war auch herrlich lustig, und dann noch der Trick Or Threat in dem sicher für die Aufzeichnung gemieteten Haus. Roddy hier einfach klasse. Auch stark sein Superman Kostüm das er am Anfang der Folge trug. Der Spaß stand hier im Vordergrund, 6 Punkte. |

Tito Santana vs. Randy Savage - 7/10 Ricky Steamboat vs. Mr. Fuji - 7/10 I enjoy this for the same reasons I enjoyed Saturday Night's Main Event II although I think this event has higher quality matches as whole. The tag team match with Andre, Hogan, Studd and Bundy is epic. Savage, Steamboat, Funk and Piper round out the event and always provide entertainment. There weren't any bad matches but there weren't any great ones either. |

I'm sure the physical 'confrontation' during Piper/Elizabeth's failed pumpkin toss was a rib at Randy. In addition, that camera really oogled at the vibrant, if a bit too skinny, beauty. |

In Summe einfach eine klasse Show, die ich jedem WWF-Fan der damaligen Zeit nur empfehlen kann. |

Diese Ausgabe stand ganz im Zeichen Halloweens, daher gab es einen Wettbewerb zwischen den Heels und Faces der WWF, welcher typisch 80er WWF Style sehr zu unterhalten wusste. Höhepunkt der Ausgabe war allerdings ein Roddy Piper der wegen Halloween beinahe durchdrehte und Kindern ihre Süßigkeiten aus dem Beutel nahm, welche allerdings von den Kindern mit scharfen Gewürzen garniert wurden. Absolut großartig, dieses Segment muss jeder einmal gesehen haben. Auch erwähnenswert ist das Debüt des WWF Musik Albums mit dazugehörigem Video, welches einfach nur Trash vom allerfeinsten ist! |
