[5.0] "Three strong matches in Steiners vs Vader and Hughes; Windham, Rhodes, and Simmons vs Dangerous Alliance; and Steamboat and Sting vs Dangerous Alliance couldn't entirely make up for a flabby middle of an undercard."

[7.0] "Good matches from top to bottom if you disregard the squashes which was honestly shocking to me after the fiasco that was the BattleBowl. I liked the opener and the Van Hammer vs Cactus brawl the most. There was a bit of a lack of stakes here, especially for a "Clash of the Champions" show because none of the titles were on the line. Still, things are looking up for WCW at this time."

[6.0] "The big matches delivered, but the show was weighed down by a lot of filler - including squash matches featuring guys no one really cared about. It started strong with two very solid tag team bouts, but then we had to sit through a string of WCW experiments, complete with goofy gimmicks desperately trying to get over, plus a disappointing Falls Count Anywhere Match where Foley once again seemed determined to kill himself. Thankfully, things picked up near the end - the 6-man tag and the main event were loaded with star power, and both the atmosphere and in-ring work were genuinely fun to watch. Overall, a pretty good Clash, though you could easily chop out the entire middle portion without losing much."

[7.0] "Really fun event here. The bad stuff was kept so short that it didn't impact my enjoyment and everything else was really good work. So refreshing to see good wrestling up and down the card from everyone of note. The last two matches could have been even better had they got a bit more time. The Kip Allen Frey reign was a short one but the guy really wanted to see good wrestling and we get it immediately, with the company rightly trying to forget 1991 in a hurry."

[5.0] "Nach dem letztjährigen Starrcade ist alles ein Schritt nach vorn und so auch Clash Of The Champions im neuen Jahr, jedoch ohne erhofften Höhepunkt. Clash Of The Champions kam ohne einen solchen aus und glich das stattdessen mit einer qualitativ behäbigen Matchcard aus, obgleich Ausreißer nach unten vorprogrammiert waren. News vs. Page und Rich vs. Vegas zählten zu diesen, *1/2 bzw. DUD im Fall von Vinnie Vegas' Debütkampf. Im ersten Match ging's kaum uninteressanter mit zwei so identifikationslosen Charakteren, im zweiten squasht ein neu-reicher Big Boss Man-Verschnitt Thomas Rich per Snake Eyes. Nur knapp darüber setzten sich B. Badd vs. Morton, das Falls Count Anywhere Match und Armstrong & Big Josh vs. Fabulous Freebirds ab, ** je bzw. *3/4 im Fall vom letztgenannten. Im erstgenannten verlief das Match zu keinem beider Vorteil, weshalb das massiv unter meinen Erwartungen verblieb, Cactus Jack hingegen nutze die ihm gegebene Stipulation zum eigenen Vorteil aus, wodurch Van Hammer zu seinem besten Match bis dato kam, das Tag Match wiederum führte zu nichts, wozu das zusätzlich noch recht unkoordiniert aussah. Erwähnenswert Abdullah The Butcher's Angriff auf Cactus, das natürlich logisch im Rahmen beider Rivalität gewesen ist, damit jedoch ein Match bei einer House Show im Omni Coliseum heiß zu machen ist mir persönlich weltenfremd, mit ausgeweitetem PPV-Plan ist das unverständlich meiner Meinung nach. Gleichermaßen kaum Ramifikationen zum künftigen PPV-Aufguss besaß das Opening Doppel und trotz dessen nicht zurückhalten, **3/4 je. Im Eröffnungskampf bumpte sich Mr. Hughes von Belly-To-Belly Suplex zu Backbody Drop und das ohne Vorwarnung, kompakt gehalten und den Statuen der vier Männer entsprechend, darauffolgenden ein genauso unterhaltsames Two-on-Two der leichter beleibteren, Marcus Alexander Bagwell nach seinem Outing im Dezember erneut behäbig und allem Anschein demnach ein fähiger Neuling der Promotion. Zwischen all dem anzusiedeln - und dementsprechend dem vorherigen Duo den Platz an der Sonne überlassend - Paul E. Dangerously's Dangerous Alliance Hauptkampfdoppelpack, **1/2 je. Ringerisch in beiden Fällen in Ordnung, Begeisterung hat man jedoch in keinem von beiden erzeugen können und tat stattdessen eher Potenzial liegen lassen."

[7.0] "This was a major improvement from Starrcade. It's nothing complicated, just a load of fun wrestling. Nothing overstays its welcome, all the matches hover around 10 minutes or under, and everything feels lively and energetic. It comes across as the most effort the wrestlers have put into a WCW show in quite a while, as a lot of the other early 90s events felt lethargic and like the majority of the wrestlers were simply coasting. This was a punchy night of action that was a breeze to watch - the time flew by."

[7.0] "This was another very fun Clash. Starting with the last Clash up to where I am currently in my watch-through in June '93 has been a stretch of really good Clash shows. My favourite match of the night was the main event, and my least favourite was the Freebirds vs Brad Armstrong & Big Josh. Most the matches I liked, it was mostly the ones that went less than five minutes that didn't feel needed. Didn't enjoy PN News on this show. WCW in '92 was an interesting time; they had some shitty angles and people on the roster while also having a low-key stacked roster and doing some fun things like the Dangerous Alliance."

[7.0] "This was the best Clash of the Champions card in quite a while. The opener was fire with The Steiners beating on big meaty guys. even Bagwell had a fun match. The final two matches were excellent and i enjoyed this whole show immensely."

[6.0] "This was a decent card, fun openers but a really rough mid card even if mostly very quick squashes. PN News with another truly awful rap. I did appreciate Vinnie Vegas in his fancy suit. The six man tag in the semi main makes this show worthwhile to check out and as usual with a Clash show it moves at a pace."

[8.0] "Yeah, this is definitely one of the best Clash ever produce by the WCW for sure. Just quality wrestling from start to finish, with the squashes doing no harm to the show whatsoever."

[5.0] "Tag Match im Opener heizt die Halle ganz gut ein, aber auch nicht mehr, s. Matchguide (**1/2). Brian&Bagwell/Taylor&Smothers sehr kurzweilig, schnelle Action, s. Matchguide (***). Badd/Morton dann einfach zu kurz und auch nicht besonders gut (*3/4). News/DDP zwar auch sehr kurz, macht aber dann doch noch etwas her, auch wenn die Technik hier nicht mitspielt (**1/4). Cactus/Hammer ist ein Brawl, der zwar nicht schlecht anfängt, dann aber doch sehr schnell an Qualität verliert, so dass sich das Positive und Negative fast aufhebt (**). Freebirds/Josh&Armstrong auch wieder sehr kurz gehalten, allerdings doch interessant gestaltet, Freebirds gefallen hier auch recht gut (**1/4). Ex-Oz Vinnie Vegas hat sein Debut gegen Rich, eigentlich eher zu kurz zum bewerten, aber da es auch optisch nicht so recht aussah (*1/4). Six Man Tag auch verhältnismäßig schnell gehalten und jeder Worker zeigt hier doch gute Arbeit, Intensität passt auch zur Story, macht das ganze Kurzweilig, unterhaltsam und trotzdem mit guter In-Ring Arbeit (***1/4). Main Event ähnlich gehalten wie das Match davor von der Story, allerdings doch etwas schwächer, die Faces zeigen öfter mal Heel-Work und einige Moves wirken sloppy (***). Insgesamt doch ein Event der ziemlich schnelle Matches für die damalige Zeit zeigt und durchaus auch gute Sachen zeigen kann, allerdings werden diese dann durch die ganzen zu kurzen Matches doch qualitativ wieder ausgelotet"

[7.0] "1. Steiners gegen Hughes & Vader ist in Ordnung. Überrascht hat mich Rick der Vader & Hughes nur so durch die Luft wirft. (2 1/2*) 2. Das TT Match war gut. (3*) 3. B. Badd gegen Morton war leider zu kurz geraten. Hier wäre sicher mehr drin gewesen. (2*) 4. P. N. News gegen DDP war nicht gut. Und die Regie spielt schon vor dem 3 Count als News noch auf die Seile klettert, seine Musik zum Sieg ab. (1 1/2*) 5. Van Hammer & Jack überraschen mit einen recht unterhaltsamen Brawl. (3*) 6. Das nächste TT Match war nicht gut. (1 3/4*) 7. Vegas gegen Rich war zu kurz, (o. W. ) 8. Six Man TT Match MotN. (3 1/4*) 9. ME war eine Spur schwächer als das vorige Match. (3 1/4*) Recht kurzweilig unterhaltsame Show. In den beiden ME hätte ich mir ein anderes Ergebnis gewünscht. Schade. Show kann man sich ansehen."

[6.0] "A decent enough Clash, with the primary focus on tag team action. The six-man semi-main was the best match of the night, but most of the other tag matches also delivered (except maybe the Freebirds-Big Josh/B. Armstrong match, which was too short to amount to much). The Cactus Jack-Van Hammer falls count anywhere match was also a pretty fun brawl with the fight going outside and into the rodeo ring next door. The other singles matches were all too rushed (the Vinnie Vegas match can at least be forgiven as it was a debut squash, and at least Nash had a better character here than Oz). Overall a good watch."

[8.0] "After the Starrcade/Lethal Lottery flop, this supershow is really great with most tag team matches in the card and good in-ring psychology. The only bad matches are the short ones. Team Windham vs The Dangerous Alliance is the best match, with other two tag team matches that come close to that high quality. Kevin Nash changed gimmick into something more suitable than Oz. Recommended."

[8.0] "Der Opener ist sehr stark (9/10) und auch die jungen Wilden dürfen ein ordentliches Feuerwerk abbrennen (9/10). Morton vs. B. Badd ist zwar ganz ansprechend, einige Aktionen, v. a. das Finish, sind aber reichlich missglückt (6/10). Page vs. PN News ist für ein Match zweier solcher Brocken ziemlich unterhaltsam (6/10). Cactus Jack vs. Van Hammer ist äußerst wild und mit der Falls-count-anywhere-Stipulation natürlich ganz auf Foley zugeschnitten, der bereits damals auf ganzer Linie in solchen Matches zu überzeugen wusste (10/10). Es folgt ein traditionelles Tag-Team-Match im besten Sinne, leider wird doch sehr viel upgefuckt (6/10). Sodann darf sich der einzigartige Vinnie Vegas in einem Jobbermatch gegen Tommy Rich behaupten, was zwar kurz, dennoch aber grauenhaft anzusehen ist (o. W. ). Im nachfolgenden Match erleben wir 6 großartige Athleten, die alle samt ihr Handwerk verstehen und auf ganzer Linie überzeugen (10/10). Ähnliches gilt für den Main Event: 4 tolle Einzelwrestler, die insgesamt ein tolles Match abliefern, leider wurde ein dummes Finish gebookt (9/10). Gesamt: 8, 125."
