[6.0] "The go home episode of Dynamite was a good episode. The main event was great, but everything else was bad to ok. The CM Punk segment with Sting and Darby Allin was the best part of the show. Christian getting destroyed by The Elite at the end was a little much."
[7.0] "A good episode of dynamite and a enjoyable go-home show before the biggest AEW PPV of the year. The opener was absolute fire and the main event is second but not by a close shot at all that is the main event. The matches in between were kinda average, some even below that standard. OC/Evans was awkward and never really got any direction. Hobbs/Cage was a set-up for a bigger match and Conti/Ford was soldi but better than what the women's division usually delivers to the table. As far as the non-wrestling stuff goes, the segments were slightly above average too. This includes Garcia & 2.0's promo where they threatened to spoil the most anticipated match (Punk/Allin) in order to achieve that buzz and get noticed by the masses. A dastardly and low-life act but they proceeded with it anyway. The scums would pay bigtime after the attack on Punk would back-fire after Allin and Sting would come to the rescue. MJF cut an amazing promo and Jericho also spoke from the heart in an emotional promo which might signal that maybe the time for Jericho is about to be up. OC/Evans ending in PiP was plain stupid. The HFO is always an annoyance, talented guys stacked together in one group which stagnates their progress and they achieve nothing. Miro/Kingston video package was super cool with the kryptonite reference. Darby video package was also amazing. Malakai's as well , dark and in lie with the character. Hopefully, AEW can make up for the mistakes committed in consistency of his character and personality. Anna Jay's return was also a feel good moment. QT/Wight/Gunn segment was ok and even though I'm not a fan , I fully understand that this story-line needs time as AEW are pursuing this for Wight and he deserves to feel happy for his services to the business but that chair shot was very weak. Baker's promo was absurd and atrocious, childish like and a waste of time. Rose/Cargill/Rosa backstage segment was also worth skipping . The beatdown to end the show was smart with the cage lowered so the adversaries have nowhere to go but Omega's promo is still below par. Also, I'd like to point out that 3/5 matches had outside interference of some kind. This is becoming way too common in AEW and it needs to stop because that is following WWE's footsteps which is the last thing they want to do as it won't be welcomed positively in the long-run. Regardless, it was still a good enough show. 7 it is for me."
[3.0] "Pretty much an awful episode except for the opener and the main event. The extended beat down from the Elite was just another poor imitation of something you'd see from the NWO. It looked awfully fake and amateur. The microphone work from Omega made everything you see seem like it was dragging on so much longer. I was watching this with a friend who's not entirely familiar with these guys and even he laughed at how Omega was talking. It was a breathy, unnatural promo and fake looking fight. MJF's promo was pretty awesome."
[8.0] "That go-home rocked. Even thought not all matches were on point, the rest saved it. Just seing Punk, Darby and Sting in the very same ring, just wow. The main-event was great as well as the post-segment. Elite's heat is nuclear, such a pleasure. Always my best two hours of the week."
[7.0] "Really fun show that breezed past. The first half hour was absolutely electric, with a great tag match and a really fun segment with Punk, Allin, Sting and Garcia. I loved Sting putting both guys over and promising that he wouldn't get involved. It gave an extra big fight feel to a match that already feels huge. Things cooled down a little after that, which was inevitable. Nothing was outright bad though, except perhaps the segment with Wight, Marshall and the Gunn Club. It certainly did nothing to get me excited for the match at All Out. What even is the point of this feud? Does anyone actually want to see it? I enjoyed Tay Conti vs. Penelope Ford though. The main event was a lot of fun too. The action was smooth and fast, with a surprising finish that really put the Meltzer Driver over as a devastating finisher. The post-match beatdown felt properly sadistic, and really made me want to see the Elite get their butts handed to them at All Out. Having Callis lower the cage was a brilliant touch. All in all, a show that flew past. The quality dipped a little in the middle hour, but still plenty to enjoy. Personal MotN: PnP vs. FTR (8. 0)"
[5.0] "Mediocre show. Opener was really good. I hope this wasn't Cash's swan song. Cassidy/Evans should never ever be a match even remotely considered being booked for Dynamite. The match sucked as expected and it ended during a commercial break. AEW has this weird tendency of extending feuds that don't need extending. Omega/Moxley, Jericho/MJF, and now this. Cassidy and Hardy colliding on Dynamite should have been the blowoff, but no. Doesn't make any sense. Hobbs/Cage was fine, I guess? Cage losing is a bit baffling, but perhaps it was the right decision considering how hard they have screwed up this storyline. The QT/Wight/Gunn segment sucked as expected. Billy Gunn turning heel on the Big Show was not something I ever expected to type in 2021. Just baffling. Conti and Ford had a fine match. Anna Jay coming back was a cool surprise, and sets up a non-title tag team feud for the women that hopefully gets it's blowoff on Dynamite. Main event was typical Young Bucks. Overly choreographed, overbooked, and had little to no selling or story. And what made matters worse, the tag champions beat their next challengers clean in the middle of the ring, because of course they did. Heaven forbid Karl Anderson take a pin to give the challengers SOME momentum before their big PPV match. And then, of course, we end with an NWO-like beat down, you know, to send the crowd home happy. AEW's obsession with Kenny and the Bucks is starting to really piss me off. They never lose, they never get comeuppance from the babyfaces, and they all suck on the mic. AEW has some incredible talent but the continue to just bungle everything. Why is Jack Evans on TV over the challenger to the women's title? Why is Orange Cassidy still feuding with Matt Hardy after pinning him clean a few weeks ago? CM Punk and Darby's interactions, Jericho's promo, and the opener and women's match are what saved this show from being trash."
[3.0] "AEW is really just starting to be a fucking drag. They have some of the best talent in the world yet we constantly get these boring, nothing matches that barely matter in the long run. Opening tag was excellent, the exception to my previous statement, but they barely had enough time. OC continues his absolutely pointless feud with the HFO in a match that ended during the commercial break. What a fucking joke. Team Taz continue to be cheered over babyface Brian Cage because of how horribly bungled this entire storyline has been. Anna Jay is back. Um, k. The Young Bucks go over their challengers on Sunday clean as a whistle, because of course they do. The Elite do an nWo-esque beatdown of the babyfaces, because of course they do. Kenny Omega randomly saunters out at the end because I'm assuming they just forgot to book some kind of angle promoting their fucking pay-per-view main event and all of the babyfaces look like chumps, because of course they do. And that Billy Gunn turn. Wowwwww. That's really what we need in 2021, a Billy Gunn and his dipshit kids vs. Big Show feud. Plus it was just an awful, contrived mess of an angle regardless of participants. They're really not doing much to try to shake that All Ex-WWE moniker are they? But hey at least Bryan Danielson is probably debuting at All Out! Wait a minute... And aside from that we get MJF doing the exact same promo he always does, Britt Baker doing the exact same promo she always does, Chris Jericho, CM Punk, Sting, Darby Allin, ad infinitum, ad nauseum. Thunder Rosa gets approximately 0. 8 seconds of interview time before she gets interrupted, because AEW literally only knows how to do three different types of promo. The only reason this company doesn't feel completely stale is because they're constantly bringing in big names thanks to Papa Khan's checkbook, which in turn pushes even more talent to the back of the line. No Moxley, Miro, Kingston, Statlander, etc at all. Malakai Black isn't even on the fucking card at All Out. Why did they even bring him in? God forbid Cody does the job on PPV. Maybe I just need to take a break from this company for a little bit after All Out, I dunno."
[5.0] "A weak episode of Dynamite, for a go home show. AEW has a habit of failing to capitalising on momentum, encapsulated by this episode. Long time dream match FTR vs Ortiz & Santana was a disappointment (the original match before the unfortunate injury was shaping up to be a much superior match), the next few matches were poor to very poor, and the main event didn't live up to billing, with another predictable finish and post match. All Out should be a very good ppv - though PAC vs Andrade removal leaves the card certainly weaker - but did this event make me more excited for it? Absolutely not. Fell very flat."
[8.0] "Very good episode. All the matches were good, some surprisingly so. Extremely nice work done on the advancement of all storylines towards the PPV, more attention given to the women's division, finally. Super solid show with great matches, great promos and great segments. Nicely done, AEW!"
[8.0] "Big upgrade from last week. The opener and the main event were incredible, and PnP finally got their big payoff. The ending beat down was classic and makes me think the bucks are dropping the belts on Sunday. Mjf and Jericho both cut incredible promos. I enjoyed the women? s match and anna jays return. The factory still being on tv is painful, and oc Jack Evans was pointless, but seeing cm punk get his first physical action in forever was sick. got me even more hype for all out."
[6.0] "Santana/Ortiz vs. FTR was the best way to start the show, good tag team match between two of the best in AEW. There was no stinker match this week even though I didn't like the finish for Cassidy vs. Evans, the match wasn't bad. Main event was fine, a bit too routinely chaotic but still fun. What I didn't like so much were the some of the segments, Punk's interview gets interrupted by some jobbers just to get him, Darby and Sting to do their finishers to make the crowd happy, eh... Paul Wight being betrayed by the Gunn Club, I don't care, I don't see why anyone would care, I mean, Paul Wight, QT Marshall AND Billy Gunn on the same feud? No thanks. And the ending where the Elite are just beating people up inside of the cage felt so awkward at times, they could've done something better. The good parts, MJF cutting a great promo, he's young but he's really good and I hope he beats Jericho and finally ends their feud."
[4.0] "A bit too much on the talky side for me. The first hour had just two matches and one of those was a sub-six-minute throwaway with awful, far too obvious communication and unconvincing wrestling. Not for me. I thought the opener was okay as was the main event - if you can stomach more video game wrestling - but it feels as though good wrestling matches are few and far between in AEW. The video game wrestling matches can be entertaining but there's not much meat on the bone. Better than last week at least but this company has a real problem building and maintaining momentum when it needs to. The strength of the match-ups has me looking forward to All Out even if the angles aren't really holding my attention but a deflating post-main event angle, too much talk, and three boring midcard matches drag my overall score of this episode down. I gave the last episode a '4' and thought this was better, but I'm not sure it reaches a '5' for me because I was bored for much of it."
[9.0] "This was a super show to head into All Out. 2 excellent matches bookending the show, with some great build to Jericho/MJF as a must see match with his career on the line, and the Sting promo really sold the CM Punk match. The Gunn club turn was a nice wrinkle to add some intrigue that otherwise I didn? t really care about. Shame to lose the PAC/Andrade match, but the Women? s match should be interesting from a booking perspective. I? m beyond psyched. This ppv will be awesome. No doubt about it. Good show closing angle to get nuclear heat on the Elite, furthering 2 matches at once."
[9.0] "I thought this was an excellent show that had some great matches, most notably the opening match and the closing match. I also loved the Punk segment and the Jericho segment, and the show overall felt like a good buildup towards All Out."
[9.0] "Don? t know why this rating is so low, this was a great show to sell the ppv, we had great promos from MJF, Jericho, kingston, and miro, we got a nice return, a great opener and great main event. The only thing I didn? t like was the Cassidy match which went short and the billy Gunn heel turn which was just funny but who cares he? s not gonna ruin the show."
[5.0] "Opener was the only good match, All singles were meh, and OC vs Evans was unnecesary. Main Event is the classic multi man match with coreography spots"
[7.0] "Opener and main event were excellent and fun wrestling matches. The stuff in-between ranged from cringe worthy (Paul Wight/QT/Gunn Club) to good (MJF promo). Average watch for a Dynamite in my opinion."
[7.0] "Very good promotional show for ALL OUT. The video packages were great, specifically Kingston and Miro. The Punk segment was OK but went on a little long. Sting has one of the most natural deliveries in wrestling, it's amazing. MJF's promo was excellent, skipped Jericho's. Gunn Club heel turn was pretty funny. Interesting closing segment cage hype?"
[5.0] "Not their best episode. There were some good matches though and honestly my favorite match was Orange Cassidy vs. Jack Evans even though it wasn't really a necessary match to have since Orange already beat Matt Hardy who's supposed to be the leader of the group."
[10.0] "Extremely good episode. Both the first match and the main event were remarkable, and the final image reminded me of the best days of Evolution ending the show with extreme heat. Tay Conti is such a good baby face and I love the fact that they started developing multiple stories for women. Way better episode than last week and a good go-home edition before All Out."
[9.0] "Excellent go home show. The opener was picture perfect, the main event was a blast, and Tay vs. Penelope over delivered. Angle-wise, everything was a hit. The CM Punk segment leading to him getting physical was phenomenal, MJF had his best promo yet, and Jericho knocked his out of the park as well. I walked away from this way more hyped for All Out than I walked in. Great show."
[2.0] "This encapsulates everything I don't get about AEW or why I don't see the hype about it. Not one single match was worth watching, while Raw which has many problems admittedly put on an amazing triple threat match and some other decent bouts. I honestly don't know what show other people are watching to continuously appraise AEW it feels like I transported back in time to some crappy WCW Thunder episode in 2000 with random jobbers and cringe promos."
[7.0] "A program full of segments, which was the only thing that was saved after the other fights, removing the first and last that were quite good. That Orange Cassidy fight against Jack Evans, the truth, unnecessary, just to enhance a rivalry that in the end could have been an Eight Man Tag Team Match match, but hey, they are decisions of the company and for color tastes, obviously. Otherwise, a pretty good show, leaving high expectations for the next All Out pay-per-view."
[5.0] "Average Dynamite. The more time past and the more I'm thinking that AEW really need to give their fans better wrestling match. This is fun, this is entertaining but rather never great inside the ring. Opener and ME are good but not special. The three other match are nothing else but decent. Punk already loose his momentum."
[3.0] "Below average episode. The ending was atrocious, the Gunn-Show segment was garbage, the wrestling besides the opener ranged from terrible to barely watchable (and a match ended on commercial break lmao). Daniel Garcia & 2point0 are three more people in my "go-away-heat" list."
[6.0] "Two strong matches in the opener and Conti-Ford, but not a whole lot else to write home about. The main event had impressive moments but ultimately felt pretty pointless. MJF's promo vignette was awesome in its delivery, but constantly shifting between several camera angles (presumably to try and disguise using multiple takes) was jarring and distracting. Nothing on the show was bad (except possibly the Gunn Club heel turn, which seems completely unnecessary) but most of it went by without ever making much of an impact. For a landmark 100th episode, it's hard to imagine this will be a night revisited much by wrestling fans."
[3.0] "Well... CM Punk's return couple weeks ago was awesome, but he totally lost his momentum now. I didn't like the segment with him, Darby and Sting. The assault out of nowhere, Darby helping Punk out, doing the awkward staredown. On the other hand, MJF is still kicking ass with his godlike promos. Britt Baker's backstage interview was weird. She's trying her best to be both heel and babyface, however the worst thing is that Tony Khan apparently gave her some management power now. The amount of nepotism in AEW is getting out of scale. What a bullshit! The backstage segment with Thunder Rosa and other girls was just atrocious. The phoniest, fakest, most awkward and worst acted fight I've ever seen. My eyes hurt. It was hard to pick the Match of The Night. I guess, I enjoyed the opening match the most."
[5.0] "while there was some decent stuff on the show, such as FTR vs Santana and Ortiz, the Miro/Kingston promo and the Darby/Punk face off, there was a lot and I mean a lot of bad stuff, the QT/Show segment was awful, OC/Evans ending during the freaking commerical break, Hobbs vs Cage was a let down as I feel both men can do better than they did here, while Tay has improved Penelope hasn't, I used to think she had a lot of potential but hasn't improved at all, at least Anna came back here to give this segment a lift, the main event was decent but the post match angle went on forever and seemed to kill the crowd, some good and some bad make for an average at best show here"
[5.0] "I do think it's a episode worth just watching half of it, specifically the first half where the opening tag match and the promos were great, it just went filler after filler beyond that. I don't get the All-Out hype though, most of the guys are way out of their prime years, and the ones who are at their peak are booked out of it. So WCW all over again. Plus this new Punk gimmick is off, I missed when he used to be anti-authority. Feels more like a nostalgia pop if anything to be honest."
