[7.0] "Good first episode and debut. Christian and Omega put on a banger, which honestly should have main evented the show. Jamie Hayter returns to aid Britt Baker by taking out Kris Statlander after her match."
[6.0] "(Sorry english is not my firtst language) Ok not expected opener like that, we dont get only good match but also new Impact champion and then the rest of the show... radnom squash by Miro (who needs that) and awful AEW Womens title match between DMD and Red Velvet"
[8.0] "A very good show that marks the beginning of a new era of "RAMPAGE". The opener was awesome, a good squash match and a decent main event. Christian winning was special and then a emotional moment with Fuego being able to secure a AEW contract despite losing. Christian cut a good backstage promo and the segment before the women's title match looked good too. I was excited to see Hayter back after so long and she looks much more improved and fit, plus that swagger all summed up to make for a brilliant return and she's also a mercenary for Baker, much more legit and serious than Reba which makes it even better. 8 it is for me."
[8.0] "Excellent first showing for AEW Rampage. No bad matches plus a show that moved along nicely are always a treat. Omega/Christian in particular is a great match with a surprising yet awesome feel-good result. Miro/Fuego did what it had to, and made the contract signing afterward all the more heartwarming. Main event was solid if unspectacular, but didn't bring the score down."
[8.0] "Really good debut show of Rampage, Christian Cage vs Kenny Omega was an excellent opening match, glad Cage won the Impact world title (****1/2), the TNT title match was not so great to be honest, it should have gone longer but Fuego del Sol came out the gate good knocking Miro down, which i was really surprised about (*), Dr Britt Baker DMD vs Red Velvet was a great match, Velvet gave a good fight (***3/4), the post match attack was not surprising at all, but the return of Jamie Hayter was surprising."
[5.0] "First episode of Rampage got off on just barely a decent start. Omega/Christian was very good (***3/4) but everything else felt like filler for me anyway. Wasn't a fan of the main event and Miro/Fuego was just a squash match."
[8.0] "Great opening match and a breezy rest of the show. Hard to complain when things are just an hour and you get at least one great match. However, they could definitely do more to make it different."
[7.0] "The first Rampage was alright. Nothing about it seems too different than Dynamite other than some superficial changes (some for the better and some for the worse) but it could evolve from here. Opener was great and the only real thing worth checking out if you missed this."
[6.0] "A three star opener, a good squash and a bad main event were the matches for the first Rampage ever. I can't say I was impressed, but it was definitely a fine debut for a show. Side note, 4 people on commentary are too many, especially when you have Jericho that never shuts up."
[8.0] "A solid opening to the first Rampage with several memorable moments: - the first break in the armor for Omega, losing to Christian Cage. Solid all around match. - Miro v. Fuego had lesnar vibes with it being big moves by an underdog attempting to outwit his opponent. Beautiful post match with Fuego getting his contract. - A solid hometown main event. Good show for the start of hopefully something special."
[5.0] "I watched this because a good friend of mine enjoyed this so I checked it out. I don't like that several promotions have a 3 person commentary team and I wasn't a fan of this four person team. I don't like Excalibur but it would be better to have just him and Taz announce a show. The opening match was good and it really helped that the crowd was really hot. I don't know about the booking decision to have Cage beat Omega for The Impact World Title but Cage carried the match and it was great moment for him. Mark Henry was great at promos and but he isn't good at interviewing other wrestlers. I was fine with The TNT Title match but I don't understand why Fuego Del Sol was given a contract. I'd be fine with it if he lasted longer but he was beaten in less than two minutes. The Women's World Title match wasn't good. I don't understand why Red Velvet was turned heel just for this match instead of having Britt wrestle another heel in her home town. It makes less sense Britt attacked Velvet after the match and some other girl joined Baker in attacking her. The booking isn't going to change but there's some small changes that can be made to improve the show."
[8.0] "A very good debut. Had you wanting for more and the hour flew by. Cage vs Omega was really good match, Fuego/Miro was nice squash match with a feel good ending and even if the wrestling wasn't great the main event was awesome because of the super hot crowd."
[9.0] "What a premiere. AEW decided to put its balls on the table and send us a all-packed action for this premiere. Omega vs. Cage was a masterpiece, Miro vs. Fuego was very effective in its way followed by a very feel-good moment. Baker vs. Velvet was very satisfaying, they did pretty well. It maybe lacked of segments except interviews where Mark Henry found his thing."
[8.0] "Fun show overall, no bad matches and each match had something interesting to offer, though none were exactly match of the year contenders. 4 men is probably too many for a commentary booth, but they all did a good job there."
[9.0] "About as good of a debut as you could have hoped for. Omega Christian was incredible, Miro Fuego was an emotional roller coaster that ended with Fuego getting his contract. Baker Velvet was a solid match elevated to good because of that white hot crowd backing the hometown hero. Jamie Hayter? s return was met with indifference by the love crowd but it is a big signing for aew, hopefully they use her right."
[7.0] "This was a decent start for AEW's new show Rampage. Compact format, with much more emphasis on matches, but still with some nice promos and storyline developments. Opening match was a banger. Miro vs Fuego del Sol was very well put together, and had a very heartwarming follow-up. The main event, sadly, was the weakest match of the night, as I predicted it would be. Red Velvet was a bad matchup for Britt Baker, she is just too green. Still, entertaining show for the most part."
[6.0] "Good to great for the most part but they executed the main event angle so badly it lessened the show's impact tremendously. Omega and Cage had a really good match and the title change was a strong way to build up Cage as a more credible AEW title contender. Fuego Del Sol and Miro had as good of a two minute match as you have ever seen. Although happy to see Del Sol get his contract, I would have honestly just preferred it if he had earned it with a win over someone. The crowd added a lot to DMD's title defence, which turned out a pretty good match. The post-match was awful though, re-introducing a character nobody recognised and having Britt still doing the ultra-heel stuff is a big mistake. Just have her win, celebrate in front of her hometown, the end. This ending was a huge misstep. Oh, and the four man commentary team is a terrible idea."
[6.0] "Solid debut show. Hot opener, much like last week's Dynamite, was the clear highlight of the show. Rest of the show was quite weak, but the hot crowd elevated it to levels above it's actual worth. The commentary team didn't work, but re-assuring to hear the 4 man booth won't be a permanent thing. Jericho's constant high pitched shrieking, with Mark Henry's monotone delivery didn't balance things out as well as you would like."
[8.0] "Enjoyable show thanks to a 1 hour run time and a killer opening match, but there's definitely some room for improvement. Will wait to see how Mark Henry and Jericho evolve before passing judgement on them but I don't see the 4-man booth working out. There were some little things like the pre-main event promos that were nice, but I still think they could do more to differentiate it from Dynamite. Great start though."
[6.0] "Rampage's first ever outing was in many ways a flawed exericse, but the overall excitement of the event was just too much to be denied. The quality of Omega-Cage ran the whole spectrum - the first half was tepid and even a little boring, and felt like the worst match Kenny had put on in quite some time, but it really built down the final stretch and ended with a real bang. I think the result is questionable but we'll see where it goes. Everything about the TNT title match was amazing - short but sweet, this was a rollercoaster of an angle and it had me enthralled start to finish, this was simply brilliant television. Baker-Velvet didn't accomplish much - not a terrible match but definitely skippable, and lowered further by the obviousness of some of the competitor's communications with one another. The ending angle felt a little bit flat as well. The show was additionally hampered by some stumbling production - AEW don't seem to have figured out how to adequately pace a one hour show, as the gap between the second and third matches felt very awkward, and while the four-man commentary booth wasn't the disaster many predicted it to be, they did struggle to meaningfully call the in-ring action and were clearly having to orchestrate themselves very carefully to avoid speaking over each other. By many metrics this was an underwhelming event, but the atmosphere and high importance of all the matches compensated for much of the presentational shortcomings."
[8.0] "The very first episode of Rampage had to deliver, and even if it's not perfect it was a very good show. The opener is just excellent [****1/4], the few segments were all entertaining and Miro vs Fuego del Sol was a great squash [NR]. The main-event is prevents the show from having a 9, it may be Britt Baker best in-ring performance, which means the match wasn't catastrophic but just very bad [*3/4]."
[3.0] "Short show with only one great quality match. After Kenny Omega vs Christian Cage was over, I wish I had turned off this program and I didn't have to witness the garbage, that happened later on. Is Fuego Del Sol seriously 1-39? They shouldn't even show his record or fire his jobbing ass. That Miro-Fuego match was absolutely atrocious. And giving him a contract after a loss, was a total joke. Britt vs Red Velvet was OK, but they totally screwed-up the finish. Anyways, I recommend only the first match."
[8.0] "It was solid episode for debut of Rampage. Opener was incredible, Miro vs Fuego squash was good. Fuego getting contract and Christian winning were Moments of the Day. Main event was alright, DMD got really good crowd reaction. Crowd was hot tonight!"
[8.0] "--- Was important for AEW to come out of the gates strong with their Rampage debut and demonstrate to their audience that the show is on the same level as Dynamite. --- They absolutely did that. The card alone was enough to check out the show. Crowd was white hot for the opening match and stayed hot throughout the show. --- Christian winning adds a much needed spin to Kenny Omega's story, he was becoming too arrogant and felt himself invincible. --- Good, short TNT title match that gave Fuego a great chance early but ultimately Miro is unstoppable. Genuine feel-good surprise after the match which the crowd loved. --- Then the main event and the star of the show Britt Baker getting a massive hometown reaction. Red Velvet was fantastic in the ring, good chaotic ending to the show that adds some more momentum to the women's division."
[7.0] "The show is very good and the timing is perfect to make it like this. It's a great cliffhanger for the episodes to come, and Christian once again World Champ is great."
[8.0] "Rampage was a super fun hour of pro wrestling TV, with just as much action in one hour as there was in two hours earlier in the night. We had a surprise title change in the very first match in the history of the show, Fuego Del Sol finally getting his AEW contract (even if he was killed by Miro), Britt Baker retaining her title in front of her home town fans, and an unexpected return in the form of Jamie Hayter, who's now fully contracted by AEW. Can't wait for next week, it may be clobberin' time."
[9.0] "Pretty much a perfect debut episode for the new show. Cage and Omega were great and at least for me, Impact has not been that relevant for 11 years. Cage winning adds an interesting complexion to the All Out match. Miro is awesome, but what was more awesome was their class-act handling of Fuego's contract. I got a tear in my eye as well, having followed his journey on Sammy's vlog for almost a year and seeing his passion for wrestling and the company rewarded in that manner was wholesome AF. The main event was perfectly fine and the hot crowd made it better. The re-debut of Jamie Hayter got lost a bit in the shuffle, because nobody seemed to know her, but that's fine and we will get to know her (again) soon. Great show."
[6.0] "AEW needed to come out and show that Rampage is not some throwaway show like Dark or Elevation, and they did that with the opener. The rest was okay but - maybe it's just me - it felt like the number and length of ad breaks was excessive. That's TV, I guess, but what we were left with was less than 30 minutes of wrestling split across three matches in the span of an hour. They had a nice moment with Fuego which seemed to be unexpected on his end but I do hope in the future they don't waste scant and valuable time by putting squash matches on Rampage."
[8.0] "Even though there was only one notable match, that's all you really need for an hour-long wrestling show so long as the rest is breezy enough, and this was."
[6.0] "Opening match was great, wasn? t a fan of the squash TNT match though. Couldn? t really get behind the main event because Britt winning was obvious. Still have no idea who Jamie Hayter is. Not a fan of the 4 man commentary booth, I think Jericho should definitely stick to wrestling."
[7.0] "Dynamite has fallen out of favor with me for the better part of this year, but I decided to give Rampage a try. The opening match was fantastic, worthy of ****, with an ending that made tons of sense. Miro destroying Fuego was the right thing to do, and fans will eat up the idea of Fuego getting a contract, but come on. Him getting rewarded is a feel-good moment, but for a company that values the meaning of stipulations, this spits in the face of that theory. Velvet and Britt's prematch interview was a throwback to a past era, which was cool, even if Velvet was a bit shaky on the mic. The main event was okay and Hayter returning to close the show was a surprise. I don't know how to feel about her being in AEW, where women are not booked very much or well for that matter, but maybe they will have something planned for her and book her good? Show gets a 7/10 from me. It was a good hour of pro wrestling, even if I did have a few issues with it. I don't want to be too nitpicky."
[8.0] "Honestly a very solid show, i found Christian vs Omega to be the best match of 2021 in my opinion, AEW really turned around the heat Cage got from challenging him, Fuego showed us some good high flying action and Miro squashed him like he should, then Fuego got his contract, im crying, Baker vs Velvet surprised me how good it was, i thought velvet was gonna suck due to her inexperience but she did well, then Statlander attacked her, then Jamie Hayter saved britt, great show, 8/10."
