[6.0] "This was a pretty good episode of Dynamite, though I have to agree with Eric Bischoff. There's not much in terms of story and there's just random matches for the sake of matches. Now they're adding Rampage to do more random matches."

[7.0] "A good show once again. I give it a B+ grade which is a bit better than last week. Finally, they have become consistent but definitely need to pick up speed in order to improve further. The in-ring content was sub-par in my opinion. Except for the first two matches with brilliant showcases for Dante and Garcia , everything else felt disorganized and disconnected. The main event was below average among other matches which is not a good thing. They made up for their shortcomings in the out of ring stuff. Glad to find out that Christian is #1 contender for Kenny's titles while Jurrasic Express get a shot at the tag titles. Omega's no no no troll was hilarious as hell too. Malakai's video package, Pac & Andrade's promos were awesome too. Miro cut a good one too. Britt came out to a outstanding home reception. The card for first ever Rampage looks stacked and interesting. Next week with Judas banned should be great too. The cons that held the show down are in a good amount too unfortunately. I hate the HFO at this point, they give off go away heat. The Bucks in their backstage segments are very repetitive and monotonous. The stuff with QT and Paul Wight was a channel changer too. Also as per the stipulation, wasn't MJF supposed to be the referee. The card for All Out seems to be shaping and with the rumors of CM Punk arriving, I'm pumped for what's next for this promotion. Albeit, a 7 for this one."

"I didn't watch the entire show so I wasn't going to comment, but why can't I rate Stadtlander vs Nyla' I'm aware it was under 5 minutes, but it was the best match on the show. Messed up man. The main event was boring and all the other matches I saw were just okay."

Main event fell flat and again the women? s division is just booked horribly. That crowd however was the loudest since aew returned to touring so it bumps it up a notch."

[7.0] "Alright, this is defiantly going to be a biased review as it was the first wrestling show I've been to live in 2 years, but for what I saw every match was good. Their were problems with the show, mainly with how most of the matches were just there and felt like one sided matches with a bit of lamp shading to not make it look so obvious. The opener, even though the babyfaces didn't have a chance on paper of winning, was one of the best live matches I've seen with all six men doing incredible work countering moves and doing a bunch of flashy things that not too many people can pull off. The only good live promo of the night was Britt Baker's speech to the Pittsburgh crowd as it was the best babyface promo I've ever heard live, despite Baker kinda being a heel. The show was capped off by a confusing main event with two men who could have done a lot better in the ring, however the way the match was laid out was too simple and undermined the performances that Chris Jericho and Wardlow could be able to have in a ring. Overall a good show to be live for, but in terms of Dynamites this one doesn't hold a candle to previous ones this year. I give it a 10 for being overall an excellent live experience."

Waterdrinker wrote on 13.08.2021:
[5.0] "This episode of Dynamite felt like when sometimes you get a kind of filler show right before a PPV, except the PPV is still 4 weeks away. Most matches were either just ok or bad. Darby vs Daniel Garcia was MOTN for me. The promo between Christian Cage, Jurassic Express and The Elite started out nice, but got clunky towards the end. The women's match was a total 'wtf' moment, with Statlande beating Nyla Rose - a former champion who just had a title shot last week - in 3 minutes! And then the main event was just dissapointing. Jericho just laid on the match for most of it, and then defeated Wardlow with a couple of moves. Maybe it was put together this way so he can be fresher for his match against MJF, because he looked absolutely exhausted last week. Anyway, mediocre episode both in and outside of the ring. Britt Baker's promo was probably the best part."

[5.0] "Slight improvement on last week, but still sub-standard, outside of the first 15 minutes. The opener and post-match promos were good, the rest was pretty poor, with a terrible main event to cap it off. If the aim is to make Jericho appear like a well past his sell by date slob that should long be retired, they're doing a good job. Not the way i'd go about a potential retirement/career on the line match with MJF, but that's just me."

[3.0] "I would call this episode "Filler and fan-service". If you ever saw the comedy series "Extras", you might know what I mean when I describe this kind of vibe as the wrestling equivalent of "When the Whistle Blows". The opener was a decent spotfest. Not much to say after that. Really bad modern WWE-style main event in my opinion, and wasn't MJF supposed to be the ref or something? The ad-break stalling felt more egregious than ever to me, Vickie Guerrero is now Sindel, and the Andrade stuff is horrible. They killed his hype in record time. Not much to be excited about with the future match-ups either, but I do like the sound of Christian vs Omega. Christian is exactly the kind of grounded wrestler Omega could bounce well off of. Will we see Christian get injured in their match and have to pull out of the PPV?"

Things went to shit at the end of that first match and from that point everything went downfall. All the other matches sucked and the main event was a joke. This episode sucked badly. Holy smokes..."

[5.0] "A great start, average middle and weak end. After the other labours Wardlow was an underwhelming choice and lead to a main event where he got 99% of the offence then lost in a screwy finish. Not interesting. The MJF vs Jericho match happening next week rather that All Out is a head scratcher too. Speaking of head scratchers, Cage is obviously the wrong choice for the title match. Not just because he isn't as over as many other potential challengers, but also because it comes off as AEW needing to put a 'WWE star' in the All Out match. Now to the good stuff. Dante Martin was phenomenal in the opener, a true breakout performance. Wish he didn't take the fall but there's no real shame in losing to the world champion. Christian's promo was good, Baker come across as a star and the Black pre-tape was great too. Just a decent episode overall."

[5.0] "The good: Opening match was pretty good (***1/4) and so was the (admittedly short) women's match. Christian's promo with the Elite was also good. The meh: Main event. Wasn't terrible but wasn't good. The bad: Daniel Garcia. I hope I never see him on TV again. The Hardy Family Office need less TV time, their matches are almost always boring af. The Good Brothers need to disappear ASAP and QT Marshall needs to follow suit. Speaking about QT, who thought that Big Show's first feud should be against QT Marshall lmao. Overall a pretty meh episode that at least managed to make me interested in the Rampage debut."

[8.0] "The opening trios match was a fun match that really put over Dante Martin. Darby Vs Daniel Garcia was a great match and I hope we see Garcia more. HFO Vs OC Chuck T and YUTA was fine. Kris Vs Nyla was fine but nothing special. GB Vs DO felt kinda short but was fine. Wardlow Vs Jericho was a 2021 Jericho match. The segments and promos were all good except for QT and Big Paul."

[7.0] "A decent show with an incredibly strong opening match to elevate it overall. The Elite's six-man was unexpectedly great, and the best-ever performance from Dante Martin in his nascent AEW career. This was potentially a star-making night for him, I've gone from not caring about him to eagerly anticipating his next match. The following angle with Christian was a very strong promo in its content and delivery, but some of the timing was awkward and the crowd reaction wasn't ideal. The following two matches weren't anything special - ably performed but never especially engaging, with some fun chaos in all the typical ringside interference. Statlander-Rose was good in the time frame it was given, but it was criminally short considering the stature of both competitors, and it does feel like a slight slap in the face to move the weekly women's match out of the Q7 death slot only to handicap it with such truncation. Baker's promo was technically solid and it was great hearing the hometown crowd lap it up, but AEW needs to commit to her being either a face or a heel. The tag title match was fine - The Dark Order showed some awesome babyface fire but this match never really took off, although the mild dissent in the group's ranks is an interesting note, and even if it was the bare minimum, I'm grateful that Colt Cabana finally had some relevance again on Dynamite. The QT Marshall segment was more fun than it should have been - perfectly decent promo, effective (if easy) heat, and the surprise run-in was a nice little feel-good moment. The main event wasn't exactly a great match, but it was solid storytelling, and my heart grew two sizes when the crowd popped for Hager's run-in. If it hadn't been for the opening match, this might have been an underwhelming episode, but one excellent match is enough to justify a show otherwise consisting of middling-but-enjoyable material."

[10.0] "The show cannot be bad, or even average, because of these amazing crowds. Also, the opener might be my favourite trio matches in a very long time (and I love the current NEVER 6 Men run). Looking forward to the suite of matches in the upcoming weeks, and especially to Friday!"
LivingLegend wrote on 12.08.2021:
[7.0] "This was a pretty good show. The opener wasn't really my cup of tea, but it did it's job really well in hyping up the crowd. Dante Martin is insanely athletic, and Omega gave him a ton of offense. Allin and Garcia had a decent match as well. Commentary put Garcia over really well. Gave Allin a good win. 6 man tag was pretty good. Everyone except maybe Matt got a lot of time to show off here, but there was way too much interference, and all for Hardy to get the pin on a Dynamite enchantment talent in Wheeler Yuta. Not every match has to have a cheap interference finish. Statlander and Rose has a pretty good match, however, it was way too short. The finish was really abrupt, and it's clear a lot of this was rushed. The women have to have a 5 minute match, all so the lousy Good Brothers can have TV time. Speaking of which, the tag title match wasn't bad, but that's mainly because of the Dark Order. Gallows is terrible and Anderson is just really boring. Very predictable as well. The main event was alright. A few weird spots outside the ring, and Jericho basically got no offense in, but ends up winning the match anyway. Sure Wardlow was protected, but it doesn't really make up for the fact that he only got hit by 2 moves the whole match, and still lost. Crowd was into it though which was nice. Overall a pretty good show, but the women getting next to no time this week is concerning. Ruby Riott can't come fast enough."

[8.0] "Very good episode in terms of in-ring wrestling. It is incredible how AEW with their more than packed roster can make time for everyone to shine. The homegrown stars like Darby, Sammy, Jungle Boy, MJF or even now Dante Martin are more over than ever. The next bunch of future stars are Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia. AEW has done an amazing job with the young guys."

Love the Britt promo she was so over there (obvs) The main was bad both booking wise and in ring which was a shame, but looking forward to rampage and also next weeks dynamite a lot!"
