[6.0] "Decent show. Jericho Vs. Gage is memorable for sure, but the match itself wasn't blowaway by any means. The opening match was pretty good, but it suffers from too many people doing too many planned spots. I miss 2019 AEW now."
[8.0] "A very good show, the first hour was outstanding while the second hour was somewhat lack luster. The worst match of the night was Archer/Hikuleo. Even the squash matches out-performed that. Hikuleo is way too green and did not leave a positive impression. MOTN was the opener, second place was the main event. A good tag match unfortunately which was cut short due to Cash's injury. Hope, he's all right. Hangman's heroics was definitely a highlight, this redemption arc is getting interesting more and more by the second. Starks celebration was a good segment. Britt cut a good promo too and it looks like she's recruiting a new mercenary. Darby teasing Punk with BITW was sick AF and gave me goosebumps. Good to see Gage get good exposure to a more wider fan base. Cody/Black was good too, as to hype up for their match in the future but the slap thingie that he does in the tunnel was totally ludicrous. I cannot stand the HFO, wasting a lot of potential talent and turning them into jobber squad. Hope, this leads to something good or else it's gonna rub off in the wrong way. Miro cut a good promo, I am loving the gimmick so far with him thinking he's some kind of messiah sent by God and that no one is above his might. Love it, he is a total psychopath. Moxley cutting that promo on Tanahashi was awesome. Hope, we can get this at All Out or whatever the next PPV is going to be. 3rd labor is Juventud Gurrera and that is going to be pretty cool too. 8 it is."
[8.0] "Really solid and entertaining show. The Opener was as awesome as the Main Event was awful, and the announcements and promos where worth the time they take away from actual wrestling. Middle card was good, despite the matches itself being mainly short. Thunder Rosa made a stance debuting as a full on AEW signed wrestler (I hope she still shows up on NWA) against a Julia Hart that stood her ground more than expected. The IWGP US defense was cool: Archer definitely has regained the Murderhawk aura since winning the Championship and we had King Haku on Hikuleo's corner! Cage and Jurassic Express got rid of HFO pretty quickly, the latter being as boring and disjointed as the former did a solid and entertaining work, worthwhile just for them. Last but not least, FTR vs PnP was building up pretty good until Wheeler got unfortunately injuried and it became a handicap match. Really hoping for a rematch on that one once Cash gets back on his feet. All in all, really solid show that makes up for it's flaws with great pacing. Just skip the Main Event right before the bell rings ;)"
[8.0] "Huge episode of Dynamite. Fight for the Fallen event has its own prestige now. The opener between Elite and Dark Order was a banger and a lesson of storytelling. The No Rules match between Jericho and Cage was unique, not sure if it's the right open-door for deathmatch wrestling but seing Nick Gage on national TV was a thing to watch. PNP vs. FTR was also quite good despite Wheeler's injury. It maybe lacked of good segments. Starks's celebration was a bit light. Tanahahashi's open challenge was the unexpected thing of the night, hope we see The Ace of AEW soon."
[5.0] "The Elimination Tag Team Match was ok. I like the history that built, surprised by the ending, but it wasn't exactly what was expected. The rest of the show was slowly turned off with not so great matches and some Squashes. The final match didnt hit for me. Im not very fan of the "hardcore" matches, and even so didn't seem to me that "extreme" like they sold it, idk."
[10.0] "I may be biased because I attended this episode live in person. The crowd was electric and was invested in every single person who walked through the curtain. Ricky Starks mic was not loud enough and I could barely hear him during his promo, Jericho's entrance sent chills down my spine and my voice still has not recovered from singing Judas. Also Thunder Rosa came out to an amazing pop I didn't realize just how popular she was. The show was can't miss and Darby's invitation promo against CM Punk had the roof coming unglued. Charlotte brought it big time for AEW!"
[7.0] "While most of the stuff following the opening 10-man tag and the main event was only okay to me, those first two matches were really good. Additionally, the "First Dance" announcement, the Hiroshi Tanahashi cameo, the Haku arrival, and Jon Moxley's promo were all highlights for me as well."
[9.0] "Really enjoyed this show overall, felt like a lot of things to feel excited about. The 5 on 5 was great and obviously the story will continue, we got to see MENG(! ) show up and do the Tongan Death Grip, Darby Allin all but verified CM Punk is coming in, and Jericho went above and beyond to deliver a bloody main event."
[9.0] "this was quite the show that started out with a match that could have main evented a ppv.. omega's team going over was quite the surprise but we still got a small taste of whats eventually to come with hangman and omega it'll be worth the wait the ftr santana ortiz match never got the chance to have the match they wanted due to injury but i'm sure this will be revisited to have it done proper archer and hikuleo was fine but it seems like lance is temporary in this role and could drop the belt next week the 6 man tag served it's purpose with getting christin another win a new matchup with the blade next week which should be good and this could be heading towards a christian omega match as a bridge to the eventual hangman match. thunder rosas first match as an all elite member was a short but good showing as she should feature prominently in the womens division.. the deathmatch was as advertised as jericho took alot of punishment.. these aren't for everyone but gage and chris literally gave their blood and sweat in this one so hats off to both some interesring promos by andrade/chavo and pac to keep that story going and the black cody segment was done excellently.. and the subtle and not so subtle hints at cm punks arrival in chicago has the wrestling world buzzing.. take that all into account and this one gets a 9"
[7.0] "This episode was fine... Opening match and the main event were the highlights, but the rest of the matches were mostly just kind of there. Santana & Ortiz vs FTR hard the potential to be really good, but apparently they had to cut the match short because Cash Wheeler got hurt on the turnbuckle. Hope he is ok. Christian Cage + Jurassic Express vs Angelico & Private Party was fine, nothing to write home about. But yes, we have to talk about the deathmatch between Jericho and Nick Gage. I honestly didn't think AEW would go that far as to have lightubes and glass panes... And man, hats off to Jericho for going through all that. Guy's a hero. I once saw him saying that he's never taking a bump into thumbtacks again, and now he goes and have a full fledged deathmatch where he bleeds like a stuck pig. Nick Gage looked good too, although he did seem lost during the break. I was going to give this show a 6, but I'm bumping it up to 7 because it did have some cool promos by Britt, Moxley and Darby (who might've as well winked at the camera at the end lol), and also a video package by Hiroshi Tanahashi, not even a week after he had a fucking epic battle in New Japan."
[8.0] "Super fun show. If someone in 2018 told me that NICK FREAKING GAGE will Main Event in a mainstream promotion on National Television in 2021, I would have laughed at that person. Yes Nick Gage in a Main Event in AEW in 2021 vs. Chris Jericho and I loved every second of it. Seems like Jericho has a bucket list of things he would like to do before he retires and having a Death Match was one of them. Of course this was rather tame compared to what Gage is used to. Still the closest we get to a Death Match in Mainstream Wrestling ever. I am not a huge Death Match guy, but if it's used as a one off, like it was done here, I am fine with it. Other than that I really enjoyed the opening match. Amazing entrances and the match itself was fun. Seems like Hangman needs to climb back up on the rankings or win a title shot another way (maybe by winning a big tournament? ) and I am fine with it. I feel like there is still a lot to gain from Kennys title reign. Hangman is gonna dethrone him when the time is right. Sadly the crowd was very dead for almost the whole show. Maybe they were already burned out, because they have to sit through the AEW Dark matches before Dynamite starts. AEW probably would do good, to reduce the amount of Dark matches they are doing. The other matches were nothing special, some pops here and there for Haku and the Ace of NJPW. The Main Event and the Opener carried this show."
[8.0] "A super complete show, the first match was the best of the night part of a very good story that still needs to be improved, Ricky Starks gives a great promo while Cage seems not to advance as a character, then we have two somewhat lazy matches but they meet their show, then two filler matches and a great main event with a great innovative story and a Mjf promo to close the show and get hype for next week."
[5.0] "It felt like an episode of Dark. The opening and end matches were great, but everything in between was very boring. Hikuleo VS Archer felt like it was In slow motion, Thunder rosa VS Julia Hart was a 4 minutes squash, HFO VS Christian and J. E was just there, and FTR VS PnP was boring and had a quick finish because Cash got injured."
[6.0] "A good opener and a main event which wasn't really a good match but did what it needed to do. Everything else was completely skippable, other than a message from Tanahashi (and Moxley), and AEW all but confirming they've signed Punk. Having Darby and MJF reference his lines is one thing, but you don't put the camera on soley on an audience chanting his name if you don't have him, especially when you've been accused of making anti-climactic announcements in the past. Now the mystery is whether or not he'll actually wrestle or just be a personality."
[8.0] "This was a great spectacle for a weekly show with PPV atmosphere from the crowd and some of the presentation, even though there was no killer match for various reasons. The main event was not my cup of tea, but I can appreciate its value for the story and that Jericho went through with it. The opener was a bit messy, but also a lot of fun, had a hot crowd and gave standout moments to Silver, Stu and even Evil Uno -- let's not forget that hierarchical the Elite is definitely quite a bit higher than everyone except Hangman on that team. Hangman's loss was both surprising, but also not entirely unexpected for those following his trajectory very closely. I just hope they did not overdo it and he is getting his heat back sooner than later. Other than that, well, CM Punk, eh? And Bryan Danielson? Two of my most beloved wrestlers of the 00s and early 10s? AEW has all the pieces together to be great for a long, long time and I am getting hooked back in week by week after a rough few weeks. Looking forward to Black vs. Cody next week. And it must be said: while the commentary continues to be subpar, the characters of the top wrestlers in the promotion (and there are quite a few now) are seemingly perfect to me. Now we just have to give them time to shine. Oh, and Tanahashi? Wow, the future is bright indeed."
[6.0] "Things started off great with the elimination match, but went downhill from there. I thought everything else was mediocre - not bad but not good either. Nothing really pushed any storylines forward except for the deathwatch. Speaking of that... I really don't think that a Nick Gage deathmatch to main event is a good look for aew. I think most casual fans would be turned off by this. And aew should be looking to bring more viewers in. Beyond a couple "OMG! " spots this match was way too long, not interesting, and needlessly made Jericho look pretty weak to a guy we'll never see again on dynamite. Why have Nick Gage dominate this match?"
[10.0] "Extremely enjoyable from top to bottom, The only issue I had was having a throwaway women's match. The Dark Order vs Elite match was great. Archer/hikuleo was enjoyable, Jericho/Gage did it's job and I was glued to the TV. Ftr/PnP was going pretty good before the unfortunate Cash injury. The whole month we got a great series of Dynamite episodes. Thank goodness for this company. North American wrestling is finally back to life"
[6.0] "As soon as they opened with the 5v5 match I said to myself "Hangman has to win this now, otherwise they will kill the crowd for the rest of the show" and that's exactly what happened. I understand the idea of main eventing with the Gage match, likely not wanting something so violent off the top more than anything, but this proved a problem. Especially ending on the lackluster Juventud Guerrera reveal when Guerrera wasn't there to make an appearance. The FTR and IWGP US championship match both disappointed immensely. The main event was pretty good, and respect to Jericho for taking the punishment that he did, but the match dragged a lot in between spots and didn't have as much heat as I expected. An enjoyable show overall but could have been so much more."
[8.0] "A great episode with no bad elements, just some matches that weren't as good as they could have been. The opener is the main culprit in this, but only because of high expectations and the excellence of the story leading up to it. It's still a very good match with a great emotional intensity to it. FTR-PnP felt a tad undercooked as well, but both teams are excellent enough that even their less-stellar matches are a treat to watch. The main event ruled - maybe a few too many slow spots, and Gage probably didn't take enough punishment before the finish, but watching Jericho put himself through such intense punishment was captivating, and Gage came across as a star. The six-man tag and Rosa-Hart were both fun, brief matches that didn't leave much of an impact. There was some great pre-taped promos in this episode (Allin, Moxley, Miro, Chavo, special guest Hiroshi Tanahashi) and a fun live promo from Ricky Starks that helped elevate the quality and smooth over some gaps. This was an episode were everything was great, but also had its own flaws or imperfections."
[6.0] "This is my first Dynamite (other than the Brodie Lee tribute show); I watched for the main event which was good and there are some other things I enjoyed (Ricky Starks' promo was very good) but the show has far too much time on the Elite (that opening match dragged) and far too much teasing for my tastes. There's the seeds of a cool promotion and show here, but I think it will take time to grow and until the Bullet Club and Elite detritus are gone I can't imagine enjoying it thoroughly."
[8.0] "Somewhere between an 8 and 9, the opener, main event and tag match made the night alongside some fantastic promos / segments (and the huge tease / confirmation of CM Punk), but the other matches were sub-par - so on balance closer to 8 than 9."
[8.0] "Despite the criticisms I actually thought this weeks episode was still good and I actually enjoyed the main event. The five labours of Jericho has been enjoyable to watch."
[7.0] "This was a very solid show, not sure why some weirdos on here are giving are pissed its getting good scores and then labeling those who like it toxic. Weird as hell, man lmao."
[7.0] "The show is solid with satisfactory matches overall and good moments. The Page situation I hope isn't lose the momentum for the arrival of Punk and Bryan first."
[5.0] "Pretty weak show. Matches were very average quality. The main event didn't deliver. Cash Wheeler, Dax Harwood vs Ortiz, Santana was The Match of The Night. Thanks God for MJF in last match and for his ending promo. He saved this show."
[9.0] "The show slowed down a bit during the middle as I? m guessing the crowd was worn out from the opening match. The Punk teases were awesome and the opener and main event is some of the best stuff ever on dynamite. 8. 5/10"
[10.0] "This was amazing, with probably the best Survivor Series-type match ever, and a brutal main event. I think we are on route to the retirement of Y2K, and what a great story he goes on with. Just as a note, I still can't accept that some "person" will give this show a 0 because they want to downrate the rating average. This is really not how it works, and I hate seeing people that bitter."
"I haven't actually fully viewed this episode yet, so my full rating is not available at this time, however I did view the opener. While it wasn't awful, it was absolutely ruined by AEW's strange obsession with just not having rules. Heels regularly cheat to win, often IN FRONT OF THE REF, and yet no DQ is called. The ref only counts countouts when they are the actual finish, there are no rules regarding tags, the number of people in the ring at one time, or really any normal tag rules. It makes these types of matches mind-numbing to watch, and makes the referees look like clowns. Now, the match itself was no terrible as I said previously, but the booking was just asinine. Why have your top babyface and number one contender FAIL to qualify for a title shot? Hangman has been at the top of the rankings twice this year, and both times he squandered it. Now he will never get a title shot so long as Kenny is champ, making this entire storyline a colossal waste of time. Now, I'm sure they will just find a way around the stipulation to get Page the title match, but why couldn't they just do it here? They should be striking while the iron is white hot, not cool it off. If this was an audible to get Omega to wrestle Punk and Bryan during his title reign, that is utter bullshit. AEW's first truly awful booking decision, but I'm sure it won't he the last to come of Kenny and the Buck's title reigns."
[9.0] "This show ruled. The opening 10 man was absolutely incredible and hangman losing again adds another wrinkle to the story. PnP vs FTR was really good despite clearly being cut short. And that main event was absolutely insane, I didn? t think they would allow it on tv. Absolutely nuts."
[10.0] "Aside from two fillers, I feel like every match on this card delivered and got good time. The crowd could've been better but I really enjoyed this Dynamite."
[4.0] "Another disjointed, chaotic dynamite where show moves faster than it can keep up with. The FTR match, which should of been show-stealing felt way too short to make way for the overly long Elite-centered opener (Although Cash's injury could've had something to do with that). The main event was gross and a strange choice of match to put on tv. Every other match was filler, even the uninterested AEW crowd couldn't save this snoozefest."
[10.0] "This was amazing in an entertainment perspective. The 2 hours seems like 5 minutes, and the amount of surprises tha we had makes this one of the great Dynamites ever. In-ring don't was their best show but in terms of story developing and entertainment it was 5 stars,"
[4.0] "I'm sorry but this show did not appeal to me at all. The opening match went half an hour+entrances, and it wasn't a barnburner by any means. FTR vs Santana and Ortiz was a match that would've been must-see less than a year ago, but it never clicked for me, and the injury was very unfortunate. Hikuleo vs Archer was a time-killer. The six-man was okay. It was nice to see Rosa on tv, but Julia Hart is not ready at all for that. It was an AEW Dark match on tv. The main event was basically a deathmatch. If I wanted that, I'd just watch GCW. This episode did not click for me, aside from a segment or two. I'm mildly curious about the ramifications of the opening match, but overall, this was a mediocre episode at best in my view."
[7.0] "The booking of the 10 man tag team match was really really *really* annoyingly dumb. The Elite win waaaaay too many of their big matches, and really could do with losing more stuff. This loss just over complicated the whole thing (since they've gotta find some new way to put Hangman in the runnings now. )... The match itself was fun though. And after the first couple matches, the show steadily increased in quality, ending with the TOP NOTCH hardcore stuff in the main event. All in all, fairly solid episode of Dynamtie."
[6.0] "FTR vs Santana and Ortiz had unfortunate injury which messed the finish. Main event was a Nick Gage match - you'll know what you get into if you think about watching it. Other than that, a solid show. Very interesting to see how they tell the Hangman story from losing his spot to finally kicking out of OWA and beating Kenny."
[9.0] "Amazing episode, the best in a long time. The MOTN is the opener imo (****1/4) followed very closely by the main-event (****). They had a Tanahashi clip, and a teaser for Punk. The other matches were good too, the worst one being Archer vs Hikuleo. , and the angles were all good especially the Black vs Rhodes one. It was a PPV quality show on TV, only penalized by the commercials but AEW can't really do anything about it."
[10.0] "Amazing wrestling matches. A show with legends and rising stars and full of surprises. The King Nick F'N Gage and Y2J put on an awesome main event. AEW is the best US product right now."
