[6.0] "Enjoyable show, if you prefer a slower paced and more shoot style matches you will get a kick out of this show, if you don't you will probably think it's really slow and boring. Vader vs Inoki is the highlight here."

[8.0] "This is the BEST Tokyo Dome show they had ever had up to this point. We get some banger matches here like Inoki vs. Vader, Hase & Sasaki and the main event between Keiji Mutoh & Nobuhiko Takada. The crowd was hot fire for this one and their was never really any low points other than the small dip in the middle but it recovered quickly. A recommended watch and the first ever really great January 4th show. 8/10"

[6.0] "For match quality, this was better than the October dome event, but that show was a lot hotter with much stronger crowd reactions. The best match was either Kanemoto vs. Liger or Inoki vs. Vader, the later being good entirely because Vader took almost the whole match and was allowed to look like a monster. The worst match was Kakihara vs. Choshu, and that was because Choshu sold almost nothing for Kakihara, who, until this match, had been protected in the booking. It made Kakihara look completely ineffective. Hase's 'retirement'' match against Sasaki was a huge disappointment, for reasons not entirely down to Hase not being in his best wrestling shape. Muto and Takada didn't come close to replicating the quality of their first match, although that may very well have been down to Muto not wanting to do Takada any favours en route to putting him over."
