[8.0] "Really good episode of Smackdown overall because of the fact it had a very good tag team match with MNM vs Benoit/Booker and a decent Mysterio vs Christian main, which was also set up well with the opening segment of the show. The set up with Summerslam coming up was really good too with a strong Orton heel promo to hype up his rematch with the Undertaker. The WHC contract signing was good with JBL making the match No Holds Barred, which really plays to his strengths more and hopefully gives us a stronger rematch to the disappointing first one. The main storyline of the show is the Rey/Eddie feud and I have mixed feelings on it because the whole custody over Domimik storyline is completely ridiculous and stretches reality far too much for my liking, but I have to say the way Eddie carries himself in these promos is just so good, it almost makes me overlook how absurd it all is. He absolutely carries the show because of how strong his heel work is and it's still making me want to see next weeks show just to see where it goes! Despite some issues with the storylines and LOD/Heidenreich still being a thing, this was probably the best WWE show in quite some time!"
[9.0] "This was a really good episode here, with two really good matches in the main event and opener, and all the talking segments being really good, with the most notable one involving Eddie, Rey, and Dominik where Eddie reveals that he's Dominik's "real father". This was pushing the envelope, but nowhere near as much as later in the year or even four weeks ago."
