[5.0] "Not the best Dynamite. The main event is very memorable and certainly elevated the show as much of what preceded it was not the best. A number of fine matches but nothing that really scratched the surface of the main event. The main event is quite good at least."

[8.0] "A good show , starting with the flaws was the poor booking of the Cody/Penta match and the Good Brothers vs Jon and Eddie match which started off with really dull and tedious action . The 10 man tag was a mess and went nowhere other than advancing the new found feud of Jurassic Express and Bear country. The last two matches rescued it as well as the angle advancements and the story continuity . Fenix/Angelico was a good match for those who live for that style and Britt/Rosa definitely has made its way as one of the best women's matches of all time. The promos , segments and vignettes were spot on . My favorite was the MJF promo followed by the Christian Cage promo , Darby promo and being confronted by Archer and Team Taz and announcing to defend the title every week. Jon and Eddie pre match segment was good and had comedy in it and I also really liked the post match assault only to be rescued by the Bucks. Speaking of the Bucks , that segment with Callis was gold with Callis luring them into a future heel turn . Sky's vignette was pretty cool too. Matches for next week are really good and have me invested for the next dynamite. Overall, a good show"

[5.0] "This was a poor episode that was rescued by an excellent main event. Cody-Penta was a good match with a pretty dreadful finish that sucked all the goodwill out of their performance, Fenix-Angelico was surprisingly bland and Moxley looked pretty bad for once, dramatically over-selling in a boring brawl of a match. The ten-man tag was perfectly fine, and Matt's become one of the low-key MVPs of Dynamite for his recent character work, but it wasn't anything special. The main event is borderline must-see, however - an intensely violent, bloody match that feels like a minor landmark not just for the promotion, but for North American wrestling as a whole. Baker and Rosa didn't just steal the show, they saved it. Absolutely watch the main event, probably best served by skipping the rest."

[4.0] "Another weak episode, outside of a good Tully/MJF promo, and dramatic main event which saved it. Cody vs Penta was very poor. Another squash match to follow the pattern of last week, and talking of patterns, we got another Sting interview thankfully. Awful 10 man tag. Mox/Kingston vs Good Brothers, and Fenix vs Angelico were highly disappointing, stood out on the card as being potential show stealers, but failed to deliver. Good promos by Tully and MJF, though not blow-away by their standards, with a throw everything but the kitchen sink main event ending the show on the highest note of the night."

[9.0] "Really good episode especially the main event, which is quite honestly the best Dynamite main event so far I really enjoyed watching it and I'm glad Thunder Rosa won it, the other matches were good as well."

[7.0] "Pretty middling show up until the absolutely mind blowing main event. Easily the best AEW women's match of all time, and one of their best TV matches ever as well. I didn't care for the Omega angle nor the most part of the show, but that MJF Pinnacle promo was superb. The main event and the MJF promo carried this show."

[7.0] "This was a good episode of Dynamite, incredibly elevated by the main event. Much like last week, the storytelling was the focal point of the show up until the main event, and they delivered on it. They expanded on pretty much every single storyline, and even the matches served more as a backdrop to move these stories forward. Penta vs Cody was a cool match, but the finnish was kind of bullshit. Penta should've won and the proceeded to break Cody's arm, giving him an excuse to be absent for his paternity leave and also making Penta look as dangerous as he did in Lucha Underground. The Pinacle segment was pretty cool, and I gotta tell you, these guys are the perfect heels for AEW. MJF and FTR are Cornette favourites, and they smartly incorporate his senile babblings into their promos. All the following matches except the main event were between mediocre and ok. But man, that Lights Out match between Britt Baker and Thunderosa... What a match! Easily a contender for MOTY. Both women gave it their all and put on a jaw-dropping fight. This was the most extreme women's match I've ever seen outside of Japan. Anyway, AEW continues to be the go-to pro wrestling show in the US, and have been consistently good the past few weeks. They seem to be focusing more on storylines right now, which is good, and I'm excited to see what's next."

[9.0] "This was a solid show until the main event, primarily due to the strong promo work. Tully, MJF, Christian Cage, Mox and Kingston, Miro, Matt Hardy, even Brian Cage, all promos were good to great and pushed their characters and storylines well. Then the main event happened and exceeded all of my expectations -- which actually were not that high, but even if they were, Britt and Rosa would have exceeded them. The crimson mask of Britt was career-defining and then the thumbtacks happened. What a war and what a showcase for AEW's women's division to have their first blood feud (literally) and TV main event. Great stuff, highly recommended!"

[9.0] "Really enjoyed this show a lot. Until the main event it was a bit light on wrestling content, but the main event absolutely rocked and there were many good promos which I love to see even more than a barrage of long matches."

[6.0] "Sting was interrupted twice this week. The clearest low points for me this episode were Cody "Just go away" Rhodes, who can't even sell his injury angle without a roll up win, and the Good Brothers tag match which I thought really sucked. There were a few pretty good promos, notably MJF's promo, but Christian and Miro both did fine too. Jade looked kind of reckless in her squash but in a way which suits the strength of her character, and she looked much more star-like sitting in the seats instead of standing with the nobodies. The main event kind of sucked a bit for the first half but picked up and was a pretty strong way to end the show. Far from perfect but one of the best episodes in a while. You'd never know that from the ratings since they all get 10/10 anyway, which makes it hard to find the episodes which genuinely stick out, but this was a stronger episode than most have been recently. I wouldn't recommend watching anything other than the main event though so I'm not sure how to rank it. Every other match I'd give a score of below '6'."

[5.0] "I personally didn't enjoy this show very much, everything was underwhelming or boring except for the main event which was amazing. If it wasn't for that I'd give it a lower score."

[6.0] "Good show with some major flaws and carried by a very strong main event. The GB vs Mox & Kingston was also a good match, while the opener was completely underwhelming given the talent involved."

[4.0] "A lacklustre Dynamite, with my favourite moment being Kenny's entrance. Highlights were Jade, Tully, Jake The Snake, Miro (butlership is a great word), and the intensity of the main event. Annoying issues throughout the show though. The Young Bucks prove once again to be detestable babyfaces, saving big star Moxley after letting Kingston get mangled, then expecting us to cheer their big moment of turning against Kenny. Every match had issues; MJF's promo was good but super generic (HHH unveiling Evolution); two matches ended exactly the same way (a roll up followed by a heel beatdown); I don't care about JE vs Bear Country or The Nightmare Family vs QT; Mox and Eddie's promo was clunkier than last week; Christian Cage's was just OK (also are we gonna have to forever refer to him by his full name? Is Christian not allowed? ); I don't want to see Brian Cage as a babyface, and Scorpio doesn't sound convincing as a heel. Some really weird and frustrating decisions this week that dampen my hype for the future."

[7.0] "most of the show was pretty average at best, but was saved by a really good main event, no idea why the Penta vs Cody match was so short, thought they could have a really good match given the chance, but was just kind of there, not bad but not good either, Jade squash match meh, she does nothing for me right now, she has a good look but thats about it, needs much more ring time, this was fine for what it was, not sure I'd be pushing her just yet though, 10 man tag I couldn't of really cared less about, just a load of lower card guys getting some screen time, nothing really wrong with it, but just didn't interest me at all, Mox and Eddie are great, not a fan of the good brothers though, match was fine, Fenix was great as always and had a good match with Angelico, and as I mentioned the main event was great, I'm not a fan of those type of matches and AEW seems to be getting into a habit of doing them a bit too regularly, but the ladies delivered for sure, not a motyc like some are saying, but a good tv main event (***3/4) for it"

[8.0] "The final two matches saved this show for me. The opening match was a solid *** match, a Cody special. Jade's match was a predictable squash and both tag matches were okay. The Bucks/Kenny/Mox segment was notable but didn't hit much either. The Pinnacle segment was fine. I liked the Sting stuff for the most part. Fenix vs Angelico was fun and as expected, worthy of a ***1/2 and would've been higher if it wasn't so short. Up until the main event, this show was a 6, maybe a six and a half. Then that main event happened and elevated everything. I never expected to say that about a Britt Baker match but she showed up big time. The match was so brutal, arguably the most brutal women's match in North American wrestling history, with tons of vicious spots and a great finish. The result was perfect. It's a match that will get 10s, which is too high in my opinion, but deserves a **** at least. Because of that match, I'll elevate the rating to a 7 1/2. And no, it wasn't the best Dynamite ever like some people will claim it to be, as they do all the time. It was a show with WWE quality finishes along the way, some hokey stuff, and was average until the final quarter. Credit where it's due though, the man event made it worth it."

[9.0] "Was a little slow at some points but was a solid show. The MJF promo and main event bumped this up because they were absolutely classic segments."

[8.0] "I watched all two hours of this show, and while, as always, it was not perfect, this week's Dynamite was such an 8/10. Pentagon probably should have gone over Cody, but worse things have happened, and Cody has gone a while without a notable W to his record, so it is understandable considering the feud continues. I don't think that basing a rating/review on watching half-hour of a 2hr show, looking at results, and attempting to juxtapose generally favourable reviews with for-sake-of-it contrarianism is fair in terms of critique; comes off as deliberate manipulation of the ratings system, and it seems to occur every week specifically with AEW Dynamite. But I digress, this was a very enjoyable show, with a hot mainevent."

[9.0] "This show honestly could've gone either way for a bit. The opener between Pentagon and Cody was very good, but it wouldn't be unfair to say it could've been better, or that it felt more like a set up for things to come. The Jade squash did its job (what a German Suplex huh? ). The ten man tag was absolutely nothing. Aside from a few solid performances it basically just ate minutes. Moxley/Kingston vs. The Good Brothers was very good, with a solid post match angle that went too long. All of that was average. What saved the show were money promos from MJF introducing his stable, Mox and Kingston running down the Good Brothers, Christian delivering exactly the promo he needed for his first time out, a strong Darby/Sting/Lance Archer/Team Taz segment that set up Archer vs. Allin and a Brian Cage face turn, and Scorpio Sky's very strong promo explaining his heel turn. Then there were the final two matches. Angelico vs. Fenix was tremendous for what they did, another top notch Fenix performance while Angelico once again showed how great he can be when given a chance. And the main event was unforgettable. A complete tour de force of violence by Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa that easily takes the prize of best AEW Women's match ever (after a month where the women have constantly delivered), as well as one of the best AEW matches ever. The rest off the card was honestly a 6. But the promos, the semi-main and the main are enough to make this a 9 and a great show."

[10.0] "You coulda ran two and a half hours of '01 Nitro to start and this episode still gets a 10. Retributive violence will always be a better story than cooperative athleticism. That main event will live forever."

[10.0] "Top to bottom the best Dynamite ever. Enjoyed every second of it. A good balance of promos and segments to matches. And the mainevent was just amazing."

[10.0] "This was what wrestling should be. It was the show of the year to the date. Rosa vs Britt Baker was one of the best women's match ever. Eddie and Mox vs Good Brothers was very good and Cody vs Penta too."

[8.0] "Fantastic episode of Dynamite anchored by a tremendous main event. This episode seemed a bit more focused than the previous one. In ring ring action was fairly average in general but all the talking segments delivered. My main gripe was the outcome of Penta and Codys match which saw Cody no sell Pentas arm breaker and then proceed to pick up a win via roll up. The whole match seemed like it was just a setup to further this QT Marshall heel turn which I really don? t give a crap about. Very disappointing but the rest of the show made up for it especially the lights out main event with Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa. Those two warriors as Excalibur rightfully called them absolutely gave it their all to deliver a bloody conclusion to their long rivalry. I have a feeling this match will be a defining moment in Britts career for a longtime."

[10.0] "Really fantastic show. 3 really great matches between Cody vs. Penta, Eddie & Mox vs. Good Brothers, and of course Dr. Britt Baker vs. Thunder Rosa, one of the best matches of the year thus far, and arguably the best woman's match of AEW. I even appreciated what I felt were the "breather" matches in how they built up the current stories to come with Jade & Velvet, Matt Hardy's "brand", and Rey Fenix + PAC continual domination. Beyond the matches, we also had some exceptional promos and segments, which featured multiple storylines and characters intersecting: Tully & MJF's incredible introduction to The Pinnacle, the Young Bucks intervening to save Moxley from the Good Brothers and officially quitting the Bullet(? ) Club, Christian announcing himself as THE workhorse with quiet intensity, Darby declaring his open challenge to Dark Order, Lance Archer interjecting, and Team Taz finally closing their nearly year long feud with Darby. And we have to, again, praise the absolute CRAP out of Britt Baker and Thunderosa for what they just did for our entertainment. Disgusting, brutal, just bananas action that ramped up in a fantastic way that looked like a real honest-to-god fight. I don't think there's been a woman's match this brutal on national TV. Just an all around incredible two hours of wrestling."

[9.0] "I originally had this at a 7 before the main event but holy shit that's a genuine match of the year contender, absolute respect to both women putting out there like that. Worst thing about the show were the roll up finishes."
