[8.0] "A very solid NXT episode here, 3 solid title matches with handful of surprises in Kai and Gonzalez losing the titles very shortly after obtaining them, and Kross appearing at the end of the main event title match, which would be such a cool moment if it was anyone but Kross but I like the presentation. 8/10"
[8.0] "A very good wrestling episode . My only complaint is that half the matches were squash matches . It was somehow turned in favor as Atlas/Dunne kicked ass and was spectacular sprint of action , GYV vs LDF served its purpose with MSK costing GYV the match . Xia/Kayden was kind of underwhelming and I? m still not particularly impressed with Xia in the ring. Eli Drake and Imperium? s backstage promo were good . It was then setting matches for nest week in accordance to the story line and the slow and sublime build to Takeover : Stand and Deliver . I love slow builds , they give you enough time to get invested . I love the route they are going with those matches set for takeover. The women? s title match was very good and a great opener . Atlas/Dunne was awesome for 4 minutes and 43 seconds and the main event ruled , it was phenomenal. I feel at times that Balor is not appreciated as much like he should be . He is definitely in arguments for nest wrestler in the world 2021 and one of the best world champion in the wrestling industry right now over Muto, Ibushi, and Omega . An argument can be made between him and Reigns only because he currently has a pretty lame character. Finally , Kyle imploded on Cole and it felt so good while Kross seems to be the next challenger for Balor? s NXT Title . Now they have me interested . However , shall I add that I was infuriated with how Dakota/Raquel were champions for an hour however introducing the women? s tag team titles is a brilliant idea. A very good episode nonetheless with a lot of upside than the downside which was very minimal in comparison."
[8.0] "Very good. Easily the best free wrestling episode I watched in a long time. Opening was good and the main event was even better. Add a tag team title match between them. I wouldn't call it Takeover Quality bit it was damn close."
[7.0] "I really enjoyed the good stuff on this show. I tuned in for the first time in months to watch Cole vs. Balor and it was a great match for free TV. The two programs/feuds coming out of that are interesting. The opening segment was cool and the opening match was fun. The squash match was fun for what it was. The Women's tag team title match was good. Things went downhill for me when Xia Li made her entrance, it's just super showy to me. maybe over the top is a better way to phrase that. They did a DQ finish without really having a match. And the same sort of thing happened right after kinda. I'm not a fan of someone interfering and their music being played but this went event further and The Rascalz even got lighting effects. Why do that? You'd figure the promotion wouldn't want people just screwing around with their matches like that. I'm not into whatever these four teams are doing. Like I said the main event was great and I'm looking forward to what their building towards."
[8.0] "This was a really good show, both announcements from Regal were an exciting way to kick off the night then there were solid matches throughout, including 3 championship matches! The only part that detracted from this show was the booking of the NXT women's tag titles, clearly they wanted to free up Raquel but the change was too sudden and didn't make a lot of sense. However, as long as NXT can create a better women's tag division than the main roster I won't complain. There was also a lot of set up for future storylines with Cole vs O'Reilly, Imperium, etc so lots of good reasons to come back next week."
[8.0] "Nice episode ! The announcements were huge and there is plenty of time to build thise 2 nights. Those 3 title matches were to reset feuds and start new ones and i kinda love the way it was done in this episode ! Top 3 of the Night 3. Adam Cole 2. Io Shirai 1. Finn Balor"
[7.0] "Great wrestling particularly Balor vs Cole and Storm vs Shirai. However, I am struggling to invest in Xia Li, giving your inaugural women's tag team champions having an under one day reign is bad and having GYV losing to Legado (a team I quite like) in under 2 minutes was really disappointing. The ending was great with the O'Reilly/Cole brawl and the Kross/Balor staredown. The wrestling saved this show."
[5.0] "Wrestling was good, but that's no enough for me. I want stories, and with the exception of Xia Li's DQ squash and the women's tag titles no other match had storyline implications. I want bigger than life personalities and characters like Cameron Grimes, Rhea Ripley, Dexter Lumis, Karrios Kross & LA Knight but instead I got Balor, Ember Moon, Io Shirai and the Grizzled Young Sleeping Aid."
[6.0] "That was one weird NXT episode. The fightcard stacked with title matches and great talents, however none of these matches were great quality. I was disappointed with all the title matches and these 2-3 minute time-fillers were terrible..."
[8.0] "NXT is still bloody good, I really enjoy most of the stuff that made the air, but 2 things i didn't like are the 2 long commercial breaks in the M. E, FFS you cannot have such long breaks in a title match, even though you planned on going 20 min. Also, the whole WXT Women's tag title is BS for me, not necessarily AT ALL, you already have worthless women's tag BS on the main roster, just merge the division or sth else, not create other championships. There's already enough good stuff/storyline/talent to feature on a 2h TV program, the womens tag titles are not needed. Apart of these 2 things, I enjoyed the show very much and I hope that NXT moves to tuesday so that more people will see this program"
[8.0] "A very big NXT with the announcement of the first two day Takeover, including the first Takeover airing on free cable TV, the creation of the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship, which was subsequently lost on its first night, and two other really good title matches. Directions for Takeover appear to be clear, and it looks as though we're finally going to get the two Cruiserweight titles unified."
[6.0] "Good show, but I feel like both singles title matches underdelivered. Io is an amazing champion and I feel like her reign was the best women's title reign in NA in a very long-time, but Toni is just not up there in the last years. Finn vs Cole was ok, but it was nowhere near the matches Balor had with Dunne or Kyle, which was weird; I recognize that Adam Cole is in a very strange position right now. The main problem for me was the booking of the women's tag titles: Dakota and Raquel win the Cup, they are cheated out of the title and now they lose the new version? Makes little sense."
[10.0] "Just started tuning in to NXT live and I was very impressed. In just 2 hours they advanced many storylines (e. g. , Cole vs. KOR, Balor vs. Kross, Io vs. Raquel, etc. ). The show also featured some really good title matches w/ the NXT Women's tag title and NXT championship matches being my favorites. All in all this episode proved why NXT is one of the best wrestling shows/brands both wrestling AND storyline-wise."
[9.0] "That was an early candidate for show of the year in all of wrestling, and easily a top 2 televised wrestling show of 2021 to date. The announcements delivered for me. The women's title match was a ***1/2+ match and the best Toni Storm match since the MYC some years back. It might be one of her three best match of her career. The tag title match result was a bummer, but that was a really good ***1/2 match too. The main event, as expected, was a great **** star match. Dunne vs Atlas was fun for what it was. The closing segment was cathartic, before the Finn/Kross crossover closed the show on a chilling and badass note. Speaking of badass, Io's challenge of Raquel, considering the circumstances, was amazing. The setup for future big matches on this show was great. The promos and vignettes were quality. Everything served a purpose. This was fantastic."
