It was seriously good and reminded me of the good old X-Division days. If you love technical wrestling, than you could also digest the X-Division Title match, which just lacks a compelling storyline. If you are "all in" (no pun intended) than you could possibly even enjoy the Impact World Tag Team Triple Threat match. Skip the rest. For god's sake don't watch the so-called main event. It's one of the worst in Impacts history and not worthy to have been put in the main event in the first place. |

Das Match mit den ehemaligen Curt Hawkins und Zack Ryder als Gegner im Tag Team Match war auf dem Papier vielleicht wenig erbauend, aber im Ring dann doch ganz gut, auch wenn Matt Cardona sich noch genauso gibt wie Zack Ryder und wenig seit seinem Ausstieg aus WWE an sich weiterentwickelt hat. Das Konzept des Triple Threat Revolver Matches war mir noch unbekannt, hat mir aber durchaus gefallen. Es fällt ein bisschen schwer den Überblick zu behalten, aber das Match bietet viele Möglichkeiten, schnell sehr viele verschiedene Paarungen zu zeigen. Man sollte das Konzept nicht überstrapazieren und zu oft zeigen, aber hin und wieder sehe ich sowas gerne. Ein bisschen lang wurde die Show danach allerdings schon. Rohit Raju gegen TJP und auch das Six Woman Tag Team Match leiden für mich etwas darunter, weil ich an die Grenze meiner Aufnahmefähigkeit stieß und natürlich auch wusste, dass noch zwei größere Main Events anstehen. Vielleicht waren es einfach zwei Match-Ansetzungen zu viel. Selbst das Three Way Tag Match um die Impact Tag Titles hat dadurch für mich nicht das Riesen-Niveau erreicht, das es hätte erreichen können, wenn man die Card etwas reduziert und diesem Match dafür fünf bis sieben Minuten mehr Zeit gegeben hätte. Rich Swann gegen Tommy Dreamer im Main Event ist dann im Grunde das, was man von einem Dreamer-Match 2021 erwarten konnte. Auch wenn ich die Story mit Dreamers Titleshot an seinem 50. Geburtstag durchaus OK fand, ist es schon stark übertrieben, wie die Kommentatoren versuchen, dies als den letzten Karrierehöhepunkt in einer legendären Karriere zu verkaufen, so als ob hier Sting oder The Undertaker um den Titel kämpfen würden. Am Ende gibt es aber das richtige Finish mit dem klaren Sieg Rich Swanns und vor allem dann auch dem Angriff von Moose nach dem Match, der sowohl Dreamer als auch Swann niederstreckt. Für mich ist Moose aktuell der größte Star bei Impact. Swann hält den wahren World Title, aber hier sieht man mal wieder, dass der Titel nicht den Performer definiert, sondern der Performer den Titel, denn der eigentlich vollkommen unwichtige und inoffizielle, alte TNA Title wird von Moose wie ein Star präsentiert und wirkt so wie ein wichtiger Bestandteil der Show, auch wenn er eigentlich nur eine Requisite ist. |

Notably, the main event succeeded as a feel-good affair, with Dreamer getting a title shot - very possibly his last - for his 50th birthday and coming up just short; Swann's work was good, Dreamer put in one of his best recent performances, the in-match story with the finger injury worked, and the post-match Moose attack angle served its purpose well. Elsewhere, the X-Division Revolver match had a fun-to-watch format and successfully put Josh Alexander over as a single, and the X-Division Title and three-way Tag Title bouts were solid. |

Mit dem Beatdown von Moose und der Bekanntgabe der Kooperation mit NJPW, hat man aber einen guten Einschaltgrund für die nächsten Wochen geliefert. Unterm Strich ein durchwachsenes Impact Special. |

Triple Threat Revolver stole the show, Josh Alexander was great and felt like a real deal. All other matches, even the weakest ones, like with all Knockouts, had some factor that made them at least interesting. X-Division Title match was really good too, I'd like to see Raju and Shera as a team. And even the main event, despite its predictability in all aspects, turned out to be pretty decent. If this is the last Tommy Dreamer's match of his wrestling career, I think it will be a worthy end to it. |

Positiv kann man hier aber immerhin ein paar Dinge mitnehmen. Stabiler Aufbau für Jake Something und Josh Alexander. Rohit Raju mit einer guten Performance und eine neue Matchart, die gut zur X-Division passt. Am Ende zeigt Moose, dass er in so einem Beatdown mehr nach Champ-Material aussieht als Swann und Dreamer zusammen. Bleibt ein Missmatch. Passabler Event für zwischendurch mit einem sehenswerten X-Division-Match und ein paar passenden Momenten. |
