Ishii-SANADA ist das Match des Abends, aber auch Nagata-Tsuji war ordentlich und für Tsuji eine gute Chance, sich mal etwas zu zeigen, ähnlich wie sie auch schon Gabriel Kidd gegen Zack Sabre Jr. in diesem Turnier erhalten hat. Für Nagata ist es schön, dass er weiterhin nicht nur in der Undercard versauert, sondern eine relativ ordentliche Position auf der Card hat, denn auch mit 53 Jahren hat er noch einen Wert und kann Shows etwas hinzufügen. |

My only complaint was the buffering on NJ world which did play a part in diminishing my utility from this wrestling event. Sanada/Ishii was a good main event however I am not pleased with the booking choice. Nagata/Tsuji was also a good match which shows that both it? s very soon before Tsuji and Uemura are sent for excursion as they look ready and I have high hopes for them and the rest of the NJ cup where only two matches have delivered below expectations with only one being on the horrendous level (Yano/Fale) and one at a solid quality in Ospreay/Tenzan. |

Hinten raus kommt die Veranstaltung also noch einmal richtig gut. |

The atmosphere is like that of an office and it's draining. On top of that, the non-tournament matches really over-stayed their welcome and the tournament matches weren't good enough to justify it. A very skippable day. |

Der Grundtenor des New Japan Cups hat sich so langsam raus kristallisiert: Turniermatches immer ansehnlich, die Undercard holpert so ein bisschen. Die LIJ gegen Chaos Matches sind immer ganz interessant, da da halt immer fantastische Wrestler drin stehen, aber ein Bullet Club Match würde es auch tun. Nagata gegen Tsuji war wieder ein gutes Match, mich freut sehr, dass Tsuji und auch Kidd viel Zeit in ihren Matches bekommen haben und sich gut präsentieren konnten, auch wenn beide ohne Sieg blieben. Ishii gegen Sanada war eines der Matches aus der ersten Runde, auf die ich mich am meisten gefreut habe. Es war dann auch richtig gut, für mich nach Okada gegen Shingo bis dato das Highlight des Turniers. Etwas verhaltener Start, aber gerade zum Schluss wird es unfassbar unterhaltsam mit vielen schönen Kontern. Insgesamt trotzdem nur eine durchwachsene Show, aber die Turniermatches kann man sich beide ansehen. |

Ansonsten war das CHAOS/LIJ Match noch ansehnlich (**½). Der Rest der Card sagte mir nicht zu (* bis *½). Ich hoffe, dass wir hier in den nächsten Tagen und runden bessere Shows kriegen, in denen die Undercard interessanter ist und das Pacing etwas besser ist. 4. 20/10. |
