[3.0] "Like many are saying here, not as good as the first SNME but the wedding scene is must watch TV for any era. Ventura and Mcmahon are absolutely hysterical on commentary for the entire segment. This segment was so funny Bill Murray told Ventura he was laughing on the floor. The fact that it was an actual real wedding with Andre the Giant standing in as an "usher" in red underwear shirtless is just an incredible site. As far as matches go Piper and Orndorff put on a really good brawl. The tagmatch with Andre Atlas Bundy and Studd is not bad. Nothing else really stands out and the arena did not look like a sell out. Match of the Night: Piper vs Mr Wonderful. Moment of the Night: Ventura and Vince calling the wedding. Spot of the Night Poffo hits a top rope springboard moonsault. Entrance of the Night: Piper. Outfit of the Night: Hulk Hogan Worst Outfit: Poffo. Worst Match of the Night: Elmer vs Valiant. Quote of the Night: "They look like two carp going after the same piece of corn" ~ Ventura. Fan of the Night: Mullet boy in front row. Sign of the Night: Piper is the Pits. Chant of the Night: USA. Pop of the Night: Hogan entrance."

[6.0] "Despite the ridiculousness of many of the sequences, the show is interesting insofar as it reveals the first steps towards the very entertaining side taken by the WWF in these shows, which are the premises of the future Raw and Smackdown. And if this sometimes proves laughable, it's also a way of building rivalries. We also appreciate the short video sequences from previous shows to provide a little context. In-ring quality: 2/5. Non-match angles and segments: 1.5/3. Bonus/Malus: Short context-setting clips +0.25. Total: 5.75/10. Show seen on WWE Network."

[4.0] "This wasn't nearly as strong as the first SNME. Hogan vs Volkoff was an OK Hogan TV match, and the Orndorff vs Piper bout, which only lasts a few minutes in the ring before ending with a double countout and brawl to the back, continued the story of Orndorff's face turn that began a few months prior with the first SNME after WrestleMania I. The Dream Team vs Poffo/Garea tag bout was also decent; very short, but not a complete squash as Lanny got to show a bit of his athleticism with an ahead-of-its-time moonsault, and Garea also got a bit of decent offense in; the Dream Team run does mark probably the best in-ring work Beefcake would ever do. Andre/Atlas vs Bundy/Studd was certainly a spectacle as a mass of humanity with the 6'2", 260+ lb. Tony Atlas being the smallest guy in the match, but went to a DQ before it could amount to much more than that. And a huge amount of time was spent on Uncle Elmer, who had a squash match that was too short to be offensive (it literally consisted of one move as he caught Valiant out of a cross body attempt, slammed and pinned him), but we then had an interminable wedding segment (which apparently was Elmer's legitimate wedding ceremony! ), and then the show closed with an equally interminable wedding reception."

[5.0] "Not only the second episode of SNME, but also best known for the wedding of Uncle Elmer and Joyce (the first national wedding since Tiny Tim and Miss Vicky in 1969). Bobby Heenan also had a $50, 000 bounty on Paul Orndorff. Speaking of Orndorff, the match here with Piper was pretty much the MOTN."

[6.0] "This show should of stunk, but the back and forward between Vince & Ventura was great for all the uncle Elmer segments. None of the matches were brilliant, but all solid enough except Uncle Elmer's joke squash 1*. Andre & Atlas vs Studd & Bundy 5*. Dream team vs Garea & Poffo 6*. Highlight was Piper vs Orndorff and Piper on the mic. 6*"

[3.0] "Oh Brother, this show stunk! This show is probably most infamously known for Uncle Elmer getting legit married to his real life fiancé on this show. My favourite part of this show was the Dream Team vs Tony Garea & Lanny Poffo. My least favourite part of this show is literally anything with Uncle Elmer. Jesse Ventura had some fun moments on this show."

[3.0] "To start this off i would like to say that this was the first show (of manny) where vince was truly awfull at his job of play by play. With that aside the wedding is a thing that hapens on this show and most of it is bad but piper abd the poems at the end are a saving grace. On with the matches. Hogan vs volkoff was fine aside for the fact that evryone is really mad at volkoff for *cheks notes* singimg his nationl antham before a sporting event (5/10). Then uncle elmer dose a match that is just made to be feel good it lasts 6 secs it ok no rating as it aint a real match. Piper vs orndorff is still the best thing on this show (mostly due to piper) as they have a short match that ends in a brawll to the back. (6.5/10) The tag match with andre is just there to set up a match for him with the other gaints where he has a real partner with him (3/10 ) And the tag belt match is ok. Also moonsault form leaping lanny so that neat (4/10). Also in this show mean gean tallks with the animal in the zoo god i wish he would have stayed there Over all i would give this show a 3 even tho it was a bit better then the first one. Piper was mvp once agin"

[5.0] "Definitely one of the weaker SNMEs, but it was still a solid watch. The wedding stuff was whatever. I'm sure a lot of people enjoyed it at the time so it's okay. Most of the matches are too short to mean anything, though Piper/Orndorff is worth a watch for how enjoyable it was in its short length."

[7.0] "Hulk Hogan vs. Nikolai Volkoff - 7/10 Uncle Elmer vs. Jerry Valiant - too short to rate Paul Orndorff vs. Roddy Piper - 7/10 Andre the Giant/Tony Atlas vs. Big John Studd/King Kong Bundy - 8/10 Brutus Beefcake/Greg Valentine vs. Lanny Poffo/Tony Garea - 7/10 Wedding - 1/10 For me superstar attractions like Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant are worth the price of admission. Seeing three giants like Andre along with Big John Studd and King Kong Bundy was highly entertaining. It also features the underrated (on here) Brutus Beefcake and Piper is always entertaining. Uncle Elmer was a terrible gimmick though and I wouldn't object if the wedding was cut out entirely."

Jesse's guffaws made me feel comfortable to join in on the derisive laughter. Check out Lanny in full poem/perm/moustache form."

[5.0] "The wedding skit is really bad and slow to get to the point, I've seen it much better (and worse) in the later years. Piper vs Orndorff is a big plus, I counted only three Wrestling moves but it's a brawl and a good one. Hogan vs Volkoff is the typical patriotic match with the big hero strong for his fans (Hogan botches a couple of moves). Piper really saved the show from mediocrity."

[1.0] "Sigh... The one redeeming thing about this event was Ventura's scoffing at the wedding. I just can't even find a place to start here. Horrible matches, worse skits, a main event featuring what I can only see as jobbers, all culminated in a viewing experience that was painful."
