Nach einer dann ziemlich launig langweiligen Eröffnung einigen sich Orton und Wyatt auf ein heutiges Match, aber Wyatt nicht als Fiend. Asuka besiegt Baszler im Einzelmatch einer Tag-Fehde, was eigentlich in Ordnung wäre, würde die Summe der Heel-Niederlagen nicht bedrohliche Ausmasse annehmen. Retribution bleibt die gleiche Lachnummer, wie von Anfang an. Im Miz-TV präsentiert sich Styles und rundherum wird man das Gefühl nicht los, als könne Sheamus seinem Buddy McIntyre irgendwie den Gürtel kosten. Im Hurt Business braucht man zwei Anläufe, um Kingston zu besiegen. Es folgt das Tag-Match mit Miz, Morrison & Styles gegen die Jungs von den britischen Inseln, welches Wasser auf die unterschiedlichen Mühlräder befördert. Unter anderem kloppen sich die Faces backstage, nur um sich direkt wieder zu versöhnen. Riddle versucht dann Jeff Hardy mit Süssgebäck von der Bildung eines Tag-Teams zu überzeugen, muss aber tatenlos zusehen, wie Lashley das Charismatic Enigma dominiert. Ansonsten komme ich mich dem Ende der Episode auch nicht so richtig zurecht, das ist zu unkonzentriert und wirkt mir deutlich zu überladen, ohne dabei eine klare Message zu vertreten. Auch keine tolle Show, aber wohl noch knapp ausreichend. |

| 9 | 08.05.2021 | Telecine | 4.0 | Mir gefallen die meisten Storylines bei Raw aktuell nicht. Die zwischen den kämpfenden besten Freunden McIntyre und Sheamus wirkt wie eine leicht abgewandelte Jericho-Owens-Storyline, bei der man nur auf den Heelturn wartet. Matt Riddle und Jeff Hardys Story scheint nur aus Wortspielen mit Bro zu bestehen. Und generell gibt es momentan viel zu viele wild zusammengewürfelte Teams wie Lana und Asuka, Ricochet und Dana Brooke und eben auch Riddle und Hardy. Geradezu schmerzhaft war das Miz TV Segment mit AJ Styles, Sheamus und McIntyre. Erst kriegen wir Miz und Morrisons peinliche Imitationen von irischen und schottischen Akzenten zu hören, dann absurde Witze von Drew über Miz' und Morrisons Hoden. Am Ende des ganzen steht dann seltsamerweise ein 3:2 Handicap Match, in dem es dann wieder einmal zu einer der abgenutztesten Tropen im Wrestling kommt, den unabsichtlichen Brogue Kick von Sheamus gegen Drew, bei dem natürlich die Frage der Kommentatoren, ob das nicht vielleicht doch Absicht war ("but was it accidental, Tom? "), nicht fehlen darf. Diese Show fühlt sich so an, als sei die Woche für die Writer verstrichen, ohne dass sie eine Idee gehabt hatten und am Montagfrüh hat man dann einfach das nächstbeste zusammenworfen, was man irgendwie finden konnte und was in der Vergangenheit schon mal funktioniert hat. |

I am starting to get annoied by Bray Wyatt and the firefly funhouse personally. I lost the thread of the plot personally. He is a genious and a great storyteller and off course 2019 has been his year and also the first part of 2020, but in this second half of the year His charachter started to be a little confusing and without purpose. Ok, the Firefly scene, the reminder about Orton and Wyatt Past, and the fact that "he" never forgets are good but in some ways he is starting to become predictable to me, also the involvment of Alexa Bliss so perpetually into Wyatt character did not add much to the feud with Randy (I did not understand really last week segment involving Alexa if someone can explain it to me please? ! ). So, their match in the main event has been good not as an in ring performance (the problem with Bray is that he is not a good worker at all) but as story development, even if, again, it is maybe the 4th time in this year to say at least that Wyatt trasform himself into the Fiend (twice with Braun Strowman) so it is becoming predictable. In this case at least they used well the fact that Raw is pretaped to make the switch. I personally preferred their feud back in 2017. I hate the storyline between Lana and Jax etc, the so called Womens evolution is the big fail of the modern days WWE and this is the prove. I can't stand Lana defeating Baszler that once not so many moons ago was the baddest bitch in WWE back in NXT. Good Match between Alexander and kofi, good use of In Ring psicology, at least they are trying to push Alexander whose talent has been always worn out since his CWC appereances. Shame about Dana Brook defeating Reckoning (AKA Mya Yim... whats wrong with Retribution Stoyline and NXT womens division when they goes up do Raw or SD! ? ). The handicap match was good, at least it told a good story even if in some way predictable, with Sheamus hitting Mcintyre "accidentaly" with the Brough Kick, at least it will repush Sheamus back on the Main Event level I suppose with a match between Sheamus and Drew at the Rumble I bet. The Match between Lashley and Hardy as an In Ring Point of view was quiet possibly the best match of the night but I can't stand the way they are treating Riddle. In NXT Riddle was of course a weird guy with bizzare attitude but it was not so comical like he is right now that seems a stupid guy under the effect of hallucinogens with some weird business ideas. I hope they will make an adjustment about it because it is such a waste of talent, Riddle could be really a pivotal figure in any brand and his matches in NXT are the prove (go back to watch his matches against Dream or Strong) but if he will be used like this he will be there only to take luxury jobs against members of the Hurt business. The Miz talking segments get more annoying by the week. The Drew/Sheamus stuff is interesting but confusing. I? m not sure who I? m supposed to be rooting for. Drew wants to fight Sheamus even tho he said the kick was an accident. Then they beat up an official who? s just doing his job. The Retribution gimmick just needs to end. Poor Ali, he almost became a star before Kofi got his spot. Riddle was at least a little more toned down. I like confident Cedric, that has possibilities. Lana continues to be one of the worst booked baby faces in ages. She? s still scared of big bad Nia Jax. Awful. |
| 22 | 08.12.2020 | BLooD | 5.0 | Durchschnittliche Ausgabe von RAW. Das Anfangssegment war in Ordnung. Ganz nettes Segment mit Wyatt und Orton zu Beginn. Es ist auch bestätigt das Orton auf den Fiend bei TLC treffen wird und bei RAW bekommt Orton Wyatt. Der Opener war in Ordnung. Obligatorisch treffen beide Teams jeweils in Singles Matches aufeinander. Asuka macht den ersten Schritt und Lana muss nächste Woche nachlagen. Das Match war ganz gut. Das Mixed Tag-Team Match war sehr schlecht. RETRIBUTION vergeigt wieder alles. Ich möchte keinen mehr von diesen Leuten sehen. Miz und Morrisons Promos werden eintöniger und eintöniger. Mit Sheamus und McIntyre gab es einen kleinen zusätzlichen Brawl. Kofi vs Shelton und Alexander war schlecht. Beides kurze Matches. Alexander darf wie schon letzte Woche seine aggressivere Seite zeigen und siegen. AJ Styles mit Miz und Morrison vs Sheamus und McIntyre war in Ordnung. Ganz nettes Match. Sheamus verpasst McIntyre den Brogue Kick aber unabsichtlich. Jeff Hardy vs Lashley war in Ordnung. Lashley bleibt eine Wucht als US Champ. Extrem stark wie er dargestellt wird. Anscheinend bilden Riddle und Jeff Hardy ein Zweckgemeinschaft. Der Main-Event war solide. Sehr durchschnittliches Match. Das Ende war dann eher interessanter. |
| 23 | 08.12.2020 | marexcel | 7.0 | Die Stories um RETRIBUTION und Lana gefallen mir zu diesem Zeitpunkt nicht mehr. Bei Ali & Co muss man in den nächsten Gang schalten und da sollte die WWE sicherlich ein paar Möglichkeiten haben. Mit T-BAR hat man ja jemanden, der positive Erlebnisse um die Gruppierung kreieren könnte. Was man hier aber mit Slapjack & Reckoning zeigt, ist dann eher lahm und man möchte die Beiden nur noch von ihrem Gimmick-Leid erlösen. Bei Lana gibt es eigentlich einen coolen Kern, aber den trägt man dann lieber bei Talking Smack aus, wie ich eben bei Twitter sehen konnte. Dieses "Lana zieht nur bei Tik Tok & Instagram"-Ding finde ich für Shayna einen passenden Storyansatz, aber bei RAW ist das stumpfes Bully-Dasein ohne viel Kontext. Der Opener ist zwar noch okay, aber das Payoff für den Face interessiert mich nicht und das darf so einer Story halt generell nicht passieren. Die Story um Randy und Wyatt/Fiend finde ich hingegen gut und so wird die auch hier passend mit Inhalt gefüttert. Eröffnung und auch Main Event erzählen die Story für mich gut fort. Das gilt im Kern auch für das sich andeutende Riddle vs. Lashley-Match. Hardy liefert ab und Riddle halt auch. Die anderen Parts vom Hurt Business liefern dann in der Story mit New Day einen passenden Auszug. Cedric bekommt weiter Rückenwind und die Konstellation bleibt insgesamt dennoch frisch. Wie man mit Sheamus erwarteten Turn gegen Drew umgeht, gefällt mir auch. Keith Lee als Voice of Reason ist okay für mich. Die Konstellation um den Champ kann sich dann auch sehen lassen. Miz TV geht durch, das Match ist besser als gedacht und man hält alles ganz gut am Köcheln. Das Duell Styles vs. Drew lebt halt schon von den Namen, aber Miz & Co liefern einen unterhaltsamen Story-Anteil. RAW gibt sich mit #1437 kompakt und liefert etwas weniger Segmente als üblich, aber gibt diesen dann etwas mehr Zeit. Das geht für mich auf, sodass die zäheren Teile halt eher wenig Zeit der Show verbrauchen, Retribution (5%) und Lana (11%). |
