[8.0] "I just watched it on NJPW World and I really loved this show, Even if I went into it a little sick of watching another Naito vs Evil. Toru Yano vs Zack Saber for the KOPW trophy was not good in my opinion. Even if I can understand his talent as comedian, I don't like Yano that much, in fact I always think that his matches and his characther does not marry well with the NJPW seriousness about its product. At least it did not last long and It had a good and funny finisher. Second Match between Minoru Suzuki and Shingo was my personal Showstealer. its incredible that Minoru at 50 plus years old is probably the wrestler with the higher workrate in the company, with a fantastic G1 Climax and with this fantastic series of matches with Shingo. I loved the strong style, the aggression by Suzuki and I loved the sell by Shingo on his lower back, being unable to execute the Made in Japan and with his back collapsing while Suzuki was going to deliver his Gotch Style Piledriver. Only bad thing about this was the misunderstanding in the end with Suzuki unable to see the Back lariat Coming but overall fantastic bout in full NJPW Style. I thought Okada vs Great O khan was a little bit weird. I can't frame O Kahn Yet and I can't see him as a future "Kiler Khan" as Charlton said on commentary, and this match was not an epic one, but I can understand it was done mostly as a bridge to the match that we will see at the TokyoDome next January between Okada and the New and Improved Will Ospreay and off course this one will easly be the Showstealer. Kenta vs Hiroshi Tanahashi match was the one that did not involve me too much. In fact, maybe I was expecting too much from the two of them and maybe its the fact that we have already seen the best by the Ace so everything that will come will not be up to it. It was good, with good reversals and submission counters but it was not good as I expected going into the show. Kota vs Jay match was fantastic. I loved the way the Switchblade worked Ibushi's abs to break his breath and, off course I loved the finisher, I never expected that. Opening NJPW WORLD after one month from the show I got the "Spoiler" of Ibushi vs Naito for Tokyodome, so I thought that Ibushi was victorious here so when White pinned him with the crucifix I was in shock! Great moment, great creativity for the evolution to WK and a great way to tell the Ibushi's lifestory of the eternal second, the one that dreams big but whose dream always seems to escape him in the blink of an eye. About the Main Event I think this was the match between Evil and Naito that I enjoyed most, I loved Jay white interfereance and for a second I thought they wanted to put White vs Evil in the Main Event in Tokyodome in a Bullet Club second Civil War it will not happen but Sanada vs Evil will be another great match to add in the two nights of WK 15. Naito Wins and everything goes into place for Kingdom. Gedo Strikes Again. Rating: 8"
[8.0] "Shingo/Suzuki was my MOTN and Ibushi/White being a close contender. Even Tanahashi/Kenta was fun to watch as well as Naito/Evil which did better than expected. The only cons of the night were ZSJ/Yano and Okada/Khan . ZSJ/Yano was expected here , they pulled it off once but it was hard to do it the next time, Khan was portrayed as some young breakout although he did not do much to impress me here . Overall, a very good show. Worth a watch for sure."
[7.0] "They definitely need to find a specific way to earn the shot for night 2 if Wrestle Kingdom is going to continue being two nights. The G1 Climax is the most important tournament in wrestling and this year's result made a lot of people question that, I still trust New Japan's booking since they very rarely disappoint. About the event, Shingo - Suzuki was definitely MOTN, everything else was a bit underwhelming but still the event in general was enjoyable. Had no expectations for the main event and rightfully so, please stop making EVIL wrestle like the most basic heel ever, he doesn't need that and for the majority of fans the heat already morphed into indifference so I'd say it's time for him to go back to being his old dominant self, ideally with a edge to him."
[9.0] "Very good but also very controversial event. Usually Gedo's booking is incredibly well planned but this time he screwed up the meaning of G1 Climax briefcase. However, the biggest problem is that Tokyo Dome is a 2 day event. It is a terrible idea from the very beginning, because it's impossible to have 5-star fightcard both nights. One night will always be better and other be worse. And because od that, G1 briefcase means nothing now. Anyways, Power Struggle 2020 was a great show with very high quality performance."
[6.0] "This was about as enjoyable as a "Road to" show, which is to say that it was an easy enough watch but nothing incredible. Don't expect a PPV quality show and you may be pleasantly surprised, otherwise it was a bit disappointing. Matches worth seeing: Suzuki vs Shingo. There's quite a bit of Wrestle Kingdom set-up in this one so if you're invested in stories, it's probably one to watch. I think only Suzuki vs Shingo delivered as a match, though."
[6.0] "Three really enjoyable matches on this card but also two absolute stinkers make it hard for me to pick out a rating for Power Struggle. I guess overall it wasn't a bad show but definitely not one you'd want to watch in full."
[6.0] "Shingo Takagi And Suzuki was great and delivered as expected. The main event went way too long and Ibushi Vs White had the wrong winner. I seriously don't know what Gedo is thinking but it better not come down to White Vs Naito for the Title. I love White but it feels like the right time to cash in on Kota Ibushi."
[7.0] "A good, but not great show. The first two matches were great in their own way. I loved Yano vs Sabre because I think they mesh really well and enjoy comedy matches. Forget stars, that gets a 7/10. Then came the match of the night between Suzuki and Shingo, who always put on great strong style matches against each other. It was a ****1/4 match. That's where the show peaked. Okada's match was like most Okada matches during the pandemic, and was a **3/4 at best. Ospreay's promo was awful. Tanahashi vs Kenta kind of ticked me off because it was a 20-minute match that wasn't nearly as good as their G1 match. I gave it a ***1/4 and it was a deflating finish. Jay vs Ibushi was quite good, but not great like their other outings. The first 10 minutes were just there, while the second half really picked up. The ending was a dusty finish and a hock, but that will lead to some interesting storytelling leading into Wrestle Kingdom. I'll give the match a ***1/2. The main event was actually pretty good for an overdone feud full of interference, and the match did not suck. I thought it was good enough to warrant a ***1/2. But really, this was a long show considering there were only six matches. Unnecessarily long matches have plagued New Japan more than usual lately and without cheers being allowed, it makes the issue glare out even more than usual. Basically, if you're short on time, watch the first two matches and the final five minutes of Ibushi vs White. This show was somewhere between 7/10 and 7. 5/10."
[7.0] "Well, it wasn't clearly the best show ever. However, Shingo/Suzuki and Ibushi/White were elite matches. Naito/Evil and Tanahashi/KENTA were decent matches that progressed the storylines. It was certainly above average."
[8.0] "This was a good show. A fun opener, albeit long, a fantastic NEVER title defense, an amazing White vs Ibushi match, and a good KENTA vs Tana bout. Oka vs Okada was pretty bad and the main event had too many bells and whistles for my taste."
[5.0] "Yeah, it wasn't a good show but it wasn't bad either, it's just stuck in the middle. It had four matches that I really liked it and enjoyed watching, but the rest of them are just trash. Well, Ibushi and Jay are probably going to fight on January 4th for the ceritiface, so I guess today's match was useless."
[8.0] "Power Struggle 2020 was a really good show. Okada Vs GOK is the only skippable match, but the post match exchange between Okada and Ospreay is worth a watch as the first match is confirmed for WrestleKingom. Yano Vs ZSJ was a lot of fun as they combined comedy and seriousness, Shingo and Suzuki had their best match yet, Okada Vs GOK was bad, KENTA Vs Tanahashi was good (although a bit too long), Jay White Vs Kota Ibushi was really good, EVIL Vs Naito was actually good and watchable. Very good show."
[2.0] "What an absolute let down of a show. Every match bored me and the wrestling was sloppy as hell. I sure hope this is just a simple in between show and that the quality of WK will be back to the level I am used to from NJPW. Also I think its stupid to have Ibushi lose his contract, it feels like someone took a huge dump on the G1."
[7.0] "Good show. Good matches and good buildup for Wrestle Kingdom. A couple matches were weak but otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's nice to have a card full of singles matches from NJPW."
[7.0] "This show was okay I guess. There was some good wrestling all-around with the MOTN being Shingo vs MiSu or White vs Ibushi. The main event was absolutely horrible but is EVIL vs Naito I guess anyone had any kind of expectation."
