| 2 | 07.01.2021 | Sebastian V | 8.0 | Nach den beiden Dark Matches beginnt die richtige Show mit MAO gegen Katsumata, welches in meinen Augen ein anständiges Match und ein gut ausgewählter Opener ist. Das ist unterhaltsame, kurzweilige Action über knapp 8 Minuten. Akito gegen Danshoku Dino ist dann das, was man von diesem Match erwartet. Es ist halt komplett auf die Comedy ausgerichtet die entsteht, wenn der Schtick von Dino auf eine globale Pandemie trifft. Ein solides Comedymatch in meinen Augen. Anständig finde ich das Four Way Elimination Tag Team Match danach, wo man nicht einen Fehler begeht, der häufig begangen wird und es nicht zu lang werden lässt. So in der Länge war das unterhaltsam. Dann kam das Extreme Title Match und das war selbst für DDT, selbst für diesen Titel over the top und einziger riesiger WTF Moment und auch wenn ich nicht alles hier super fand und wrestlerisch da natürlich nichts war, respektiere ich die Kreativität und fand es für das was es sein sollte zumindest solide. Mehr als anständig fand ich dafür das folgende Tag Team Match. Es gab eine gute Chemie und eine passende Härte zwischen beiden Teams. Ueno gegen Brookes danach war richtig gut. Technisch methodischer Start von Brookes aber Ueno kämpft sich stark zurück und gewann dann nach einer spannenden Schlussphase den Titel. Ganz anders aber ebenfalls wirklich gut war das Co ME. Akiyama zwingt Takeshita seinen Stil auf und obwohl letzterer kämpft muss er sich am Ende geschlagen geben. Das war ein Match das trotz langsameren Tempo nie langweilig war. Ebenfalls nie langweilig aber aus völlig anderen Gründen war das ME. Ein sehr emotionales, technisch starkes Match mit einigen tollen Moment und insgesamt auch wirklich sehr gut und das MOTN. Insgesamt war das eine DDT Show, die mehr als die Summe ihrer Teile war. Natürlich war hier nicht alles wrestlerisch klasse aber die Undercardmatches erfüllten ihren Sinn, die großen Matches lieferten und man hatte Abwechslung. Eine gute Show, welche in meinen Augen 8 Punkte verdient. |

The only downside was there was not as much crossover with other companies like last years show though with the current circumstances it is understandable still one of the best shows of the year |

| 8 | 10.11.2020 | DerHitman | 8.0 | Die beiden Dark Matches sind solide. MAO vs. Shunma Katsumata hat schnelle gute Action. Das Match ist recht kurz, hat aber Non Stop Action ***. Akito und Danshoku Dino machen das was man erwarten konnte, sie wrestlen nicht viel und machen stattdessen viel Quatsch. Das Elimination Match hat viel Quatsch, ist aber ok. Mit Takagi gegen Aoki kann ich nichts anfangen. CIMA & Soma Takao vs. HARASHIMA & Naomichi Marufuji ist ein cooles Match mit schönen Spots und guter Intensität ***1/2. Chris Brookes vs. Yuki Ueno ist ein technisch ganz gutes Match und hat auch einige schöne Spots ***1/4. Jun Akiyama vs. Konosuke Takeshita ist ein starkes verbissenes Match mit hoher Intensität, Akiyama kann immer noch gehen wenn er will ***3/4. Daisuke Sasaki vs. Tetsuya Endo ist ein cooles Match mit einigen harten Aktionen, wie man es in dieser Fehde erwarten konnte ****. |

Every match fulfilled its purpose and also setted up other matches in the future as well. Also, seeing Shuji Ishikawa after the Main Event was simply MAGNIFIC. |

Surprisingly, one thing that stood out was a short "COVID intermission" after Dino/Akito match, I think shows in the future should give a little bit of time to matches from undercard to sink in before moving to bigger things. There wasn't a match that stood out more than others (last two matches were awesome though), but everything achieved it's purpose. |

The big matches delivered up-to their standards. The undercard matches all added something to the show in terms of comedic value or otherwise. It set up other matches further down the line, concluded feuds nicely. A good snapshot at DDT as a whole. A feel good show with high stakes. |

Akito being ready for normal Dieno shenanigans, but Dieno didn't want to cooperate and was completely serious. The four way elimination meanwhile had the secret ace of DDT comedy squad, Yukio Sakaguchi is a master with his style of comedy. After that we got the weapon rumble which was bit meh, but the ending was hilarious. Also how did Takagi get two weapons in a row! Intermission was next and then came the serious wrestling. CIMASOMA got the win and they are continuing as a team. Ueno managed to put away Brookes and won the Universal Title and then said that he would leave DISASTER BOX. Akiyama beat Takeshita in a slow, but a great match and finally Endo successfully managed to defend against Sasaki. Thankfully in the end the two friends solved their problems and left the arena as friends. Damnation is back! All in all this was a good DDT show, but the crowd lost their steam half way through it. They didn't have much power to clap for the wrestlers on the second half. |
