[7.0] "Solid return episode of Fusion. The Hammerstone squash could have been a little longer but it set the tone. Reed vs. Pillman was a very good match with Reed going over clean, both signaling a change in Reed's character to more of a tweener and also showing that MLW believes Pillman is definitely on his way out of the company to AEW by jobbing him clean to Reed. Fatu vs. Smith was a good match with the right winner and minimal shenanigans. Although the "masked man" is a bit hackneyed and reminds me of 90s WWF."

[6.0] "I am quite disappointed by this restart, because I was excited for the recovery and my expectations were not fulfilled. But for all that this episode is pretty decent."

[6.0] "I was hyped for the new episode but the show itself was satisfactory and nothing more. Good matches but without any peaks, we'll see what comes next with Fatu/Hammerstone at this point."

[4.0] "Pretty underwhelming. The Restart had to be something more, with some changes and new faces but it really was just one hour of nothingness. Opera Cup sounds interesting, but the rest felt pretty flat. Hoping for better stuff next week."

[6.0] "MLW isn't too exciting out of the gate with the restart. Honestly I'm looking forward more to what they're building to here with Hammerstone fighting Fatu. The card started with an explosive squash match and Hammerstone challenging Fatu. They did some weird things with Brian Pillman Jr. before the Middleweight Title match. The match just never got into gear and seemed off. The storytelling was decent and it just seems like Pillman must be leaving the company because they just moved onto Reed challenging Lio Rush. The main event was as good as it's going to be without fans there. At the end some new masked member of Contra Unit attacked Hammerstone so looks like he's gotta go through some people before wrestling Fatu."
